Yeah, but visually they are absolutely different. The original were actual dead corpses with cybernetic implants, while these are some relatively badly rendered robot things, somewhat resembling a zombie. Don't worry, I expected you to have all released assets.
Yes, I might seem picky and all, but HotA didn't get where it is by using its very first models either, just because they couldn't do better at that moment.

i responded reguarding the cyber-zombies in the previous post. for the rest, yes, there is some deviance, but i think that deviance turned out for the better. after all, NWC wasn't done with their Forge work, but still in conceptual stages. if you remember, a lot of their original Heroes 3 artwork doesn't match the finished product they released.

Yes, they don't always match, but that doesn't excuse the lower quality either. And as I said, the first three levels were nearly finished anyway (so not conceptual phase anyway; and as stated by Gregory Fulton IIRC, in a more recent article, work on most creatures was indeed done, at least on model level).
As for NWC and its final concepts of things.... I'd rather not use a public thread for any of that, as I hinted with the level 7.

you'll have to talk to hobbit about the quality, as i think he was the one who made the cyber-zombie models. myself, i think he did a fine job. you seem to be a more hardcore Forge fan than even i was, lol.
now, i'm much more interested in my Lovecraft and Fear factions. this project has been halted because of the aforementioned hiccups, anyway. once i get my 3D badge of honor, i'll finish this project, as it is nearest completion.
hell, i might even need your input then, so stick around. 
for the time being, i really don't want to take any attention away from HotA's Factory release, so i'll quit with this thread.

that was his latest model, to the best of my knowledge. i saw another, more complex model for the cyber-zombie(from the HotA team, maybe axolotl?, i believe), but it was too futuristic, imo.

That HotA model was an aberration worthy of throwing in the trash bin kekw. And yes, that might be his latest model publicly at the very least, but I know an earlier version of his newer model was leaked somewhere.

i released all that unfinished work because i thought my life was over. when i found i was still going to be around for the forseeable future, i reverted back to what i normally do; which is release things when they are done. same as everyone else who release content here; and fittingly so.

I didn't see the "too futuristic" hota forge zombies, where are them?
There is a downloadable hota forge but it doesn't even have zombies

Personally, I despise the "shield bearers" more than anything, they don't fit the rest of the town aesthetic choices (which is a lot of skin and post-punk/skinhead style clothes)
