Yeah maybe that was a terrible idea

Anyway, the problem is not the rewards since they've been really expanded since newer patches, but the entertainment, majority of defeats in dungeon defense, even when you get good creatures with 3+ dots fully awakened and totem, gets pretty frustrating. I farmed all that for 3% defense rate? Seriously. Even the best defenses with full 4 dots stunners/silencers/rezzers/huge dmg awakened/totemed barely get 50%... Even the dudes in the top ranks, for most of time, I notice have less than 30%, that is just bad.

Imo the battles should be challenging, it's the best rewards of the game and the current system is just weak.

we can discuss and plan 100 theories but is useless if the game will not be updated.
I already emailed support twice and got no answers from them.

To be honest this game has quite a few visible  bugs and also there are a few things that can be exploited.

If they didn't bothered to fix obvious bugs (like for example tomes not working) I don't believe they will do any major update anytime soon...

They didn't fix tome bugs? I thought they did...

Well, it's up to them, if they want to improve their (semi)PvP system or not. IMO the devs are quite passionate about their game, and posting in forums never killed anyone.

Just checked: at least mystic attack tome is not working. +20% from mana balled dropped - not working

Well, I've lost any optimism. I'm just coasting through the game on life support waiting for the next patch barely doing pvp and only doing quick quests.

I wonder, whether I can even muster up the motivation to do battle tower this week, it is so dull.

The game desperately needs a new patch, it's been over 7 weeks since the last patch and the facts that they still haven't fixed basic attacks and that they now start to recycle dungeon events are not good signs.

The playerbase is also shrinking. The battle tower top list was always filled entirely with top 1%, now the bottom 14 spots were top 2%. (By the way, 30th on the guild ranking this week? Disgraceful.)
Several top guilds are imploding (Skyrim, WoG, destroyers also turned casual).

If the next patch doesn't do something major I'll stop playing, too. CQ has given me well over 200 hours of enjoyment, but I've reached the point where I've seen and did everything.

Well you know the guild is crippled, best I do could was to get some low-level mercenaries scoring in their tier to at least keep the guild in top 10 for dungeon. It goes without saying the Tower score would drop.

Answer from the support:
"there is not a bug. There is a cooldown period so you can only buy it a certain amount of times in a specific time period."

Specific time period.. damn thats really informative. I asked again details about the time framea

Upcoming balance changes

Okay, on to the upcoming balance changes:

Special Ability/Awakening Changes:

Modifications:

   All Legendary Dragons – 4 and 5 Star versions received a slight damage boost and now have a 100% chance to cast Debuffs/DoTs.
   Green Dragon – Adjusting Poison to be shorter but stronger, allowing for more damage potential.
   Gold Dragon – Adding Fatigue debuff for more utility.
   Alchemist – Now uses LUK to emphasize Creature’s strengths. Adding Mend buff and tweaking DoTs to be shorter but stronger, providing more utility.
   Archangel – Now uses ATK to emphasize Creature’s strengths. Focusing more damage to fewer targets for more consistency.
   Chimera – Now uses LUK to emphasize Creature’s strengths. Reworked to cause a massive Poison to the main hit (comparable to the Phoenix!). Awakenings now also provide vastly increased survivability.
   Kirin – Adding random Cleanses to occur before the heals, providing a strong utility to this strong healer.
   Megalodon – Now uses ATK to emphasize Creature’s strengths. Removing ‘random’ targeting and adding a slight damage increase, making it a more reliable damage dealer.

Fixes:

   Banshee – Fixing an issue with its awakened ability: additional hit has intended chance to silence.
   Fire Giant – Fixing an issue with its awakened ability: additional hit has an intended chance to stun.
   Contenderoo – Fixing an issue with its awakened ability: will now hit the intended number of times.
   Shaitan – Fixing an issue with its awakened ability: heal will apply as intended when buffed.
   Siren – Fixing an issue where the main target Cleanse was inconsistent with the adjacent target Cleanses.
   Silence – Will now properly add the ‘Silence Immune’ shield the first turn after being applied.

Stat modifications for balancing purposes:

Buffs:

   Alchemist
   Archmage
   Banshee
   Chimera
   Cyclops
   Green Dragon
   Kirin
   Lich
   Pyromancer
   Succubus

Adjustments:

   Megalodon – Because its Special Ability is now based on ATK, we decreased it slightly. But don’t worry – we didn’t jump the shark – it will still be doing more damage than before!
   Forest Giant – Creature was too well rounded, dealing decent damage and stunning enemies, while also healing the entire party. We like his utility, but his PWR stat made him do his job a little too well. Being a Giant, he also had massive HP. Because of his utility, we decided to make him a little less healthy than his Giant Bros. Don’t count him out though, he’ll still be sticking around the battlefield with increased DEF.

Before you ask, no, we don’t have an exact date for the update, but we can tell you that it’s planned to arrive very soon. ☺

Im personally excited about changes to the Chimera as i happen to have a 4d Chimera that i was never gonna use due to its "shyttability" ... Now that its gonna be Luck based , hopefully it will have a higher Luck stat for better resisting and better survivability from reworked awakenings...I can only wait and see though if its worth my Greater essences now ?

Truth has sick defense consistently scoring above 50% (but then he farms tower like crazy).


I agree defence could enjoy some love, especially those who don't have many 4 dots defenders.

I've tried everything possible and my creatures are awakened/totemed, all 3 dots minimums with some 4 dots. I usually try different setups during a challenge when I see it doesn't work. I even sent some screens to Dulkan in private and he told me probably all the people who would lose to my defense didn't attack in the first place. I lack Kangoo and Beetle because I didn't have time during that event, but it's not like you shouldn't be able to get something viable if you lack these two right?

I remember your defense, one of the strongest I encountered (1 loss, 2 wins or smth like that), should be way above 30% IMO.

I think I remember beating Truth's defense too, but how many guys with his rate, three, four?

I just had an idea - an option make the defending creatures act as if they had more dots. An "additional" dot to spend in your dungeon would cost some diamonds and raise a creature's number of dots by 1. Creatures from different tiers would need different amount to be upgraded (commons would need one, rares two, epics tree and legends four). Of course, a creature could still have maximum of 4 dots and they would still have their regular amount in single player maps and while challenging other players dungeons. Thoughts?

Any "paid" dungeon bonus (especially per creature) would cause a vast rift within the player base. At the moment buying diamonds doesn't give a huge advantage, just an acceleration. Making all creatures act faster in defence would strengthen the defence, but charging for that bonus would just make the defences that are already strongest even stronger.
I do like the idea of strengthening defensive forces, personally I'd prefer to see the boss waves toughened since we can already bolster the trash waves quite effectively with totems and critter selection.

Agreed, it was fun at first but now it's just boring and having to redo everything each week just got tedious. I don't even use the right colors anymore and climb it asap just for the rewards... Meh. I'd rather have the opportunity to only do the levels which interests me, even at a higher energy cost.

Quick coin and totalised energy to simply hit the reward nodes? (Marking the lower nodes as beaten with zero score on completion)
