The 10 diamonds for fully awakening a Boss achievement reward certainly is odd, but I disagree about progression rewards in dungeon challenge. Not only gems you also get totems, diamonds and diamond idols, which I find satisfying.

These rewards are oddly balanced.
For example, 9k Prestige (if anyone bothers going there), you get 10 totems, 4 square gems, 1 diamond idol, 20k gold and 25 energy. This is poor reward for such high prestige mark.
In a sense, reaching 4,2k Prestige, where you get 10 medium gems, 1 diamond idol 7k gold and 20 energy, it feels pretty much the same. Totems, gems and gold are aplenty and rather easy to get. Diamond idol is somewhat akin to 100 diamonds (unless you have VIP discounts). And energy is almost the same.
That's what I find very discouraging on the Progression rewards. Of course, the Rank rewards are much better.

It's more that if you reach 10k you gain close to 200 diamonds, a couple of diamond idols, 10 totems of each kind, some tokens, enough energy to not buy a refill, gems of all sizes and all this on top of the ranking rewards. It's not really hard to climb the leaderboard, you just need to fight, of course the more dungeons you can beat the faster you climb (sniping).
Tbh I am worried if the game still generates enough revenue to keep on improving it, considering how friendly it has become to free players in general at this point.

Do not be `cos I see plenty of "whales" in this game  And I don`t mean it as a "negative". Those players who spend hundreds and thousands in CQ are the main revenue for JVC and the main "treasure chest" for us 
At least when the swag bag event starts, most guilds get swarmed by bags till their rank tops the 5th level 
And to be honest I also send from time to time some money to JVC&co. to show them my satisfaction with this game. I did compare Elemental Guardians vs CQ and I am glad we have this game with JVC behind

If you want clear comparation, than please use graphics for both last form of creatures, not begining ones (baby) from EG vs. third (final) from CQ. Otherwise you will get the same result as when Ubisoft compared HoMM3:RoE (pixeled) creatures vs. their HoMM3 HD creatures.
Elite forms from EG look a little better but IMo they are still much worse than from CQ.

I am just comparing their art direction: 3D low-poly models vs 2D hi-res art.
That is just my personal taste and my point of view, so others may like EG more than CQ.
And you are right, even the elites from EG are still in the shadow of CQ ones.

Nice article Lordgraa!
I do not know about when Scorpion will be available for summon (CQ devs have always been awful at communicating ) but I suspect sometime soon after the Poppa map is over (that was the pattern IIRC).

Yes, despite few difficulties we still have a good core.
Other guilds need to make alliances but Kreegans fight all
About nymphs you're right, only green, yellow, dark and white cycle in the Tower.

I wasn't very tuned on CQ the last days, then I ended up going back to Silver. Now I feel like I'm cheating. =(

To get demoted you need to score less than 2k twice in a row.

But how can I "achieve" this? Just assemble one dungeon with lowlevels to get under 2k?
But to be honest I would like to stay in gold and rank at least in 5%+ but for this I need better/higher shrines I guess?

Yes exactly, set up weak dungeons so you lose every revenge. Given how the point system works, ideally attack folks with lower prestige than you.
It's a mechanic that got abused by some players to get the bronze rewards, but thankfully since we can now promote creatures to 4 dots diamonds and essences are more valuable (it's a HUGE loss in resources to tank in bronze).
50% Gold is clearly not bad rewards but in my opinion players get there too soon. Someone doing well can enter Gold after a month of playing and at that point he has no other choice than tanking or stay in bottom gold but he won't be able to compete for some time. I think new players in Silver should stay longer there before getting promoted to Gold.
5% is a nice goal for gold, actually maybe you can get there with some snipe and shield tactics, but I don't know how strong is your kingdom?
