Can confirm, I got into gold pretty soon, and that destroyed any further chances of progressing in dungeons, so I had to tank to get back into Silver, and it's fun getting prestige by defending.
But exams pushed me back to bronze.

So I am happy to be in silver (after loosing hard in gold for weeks) but there is one question: How can I make my units act sooner AND cast their abilities?
I know dots are important - all of my wave1 units are 4doters. Fully awaken and totemed.
Now, when I fight against enemies, their units act sooner and cast abilities too quicky to keep my team alive :/
When I test my dungeon, only one unit starts with ability ready and others just phew phew without...
...is there something hidden behidn the code curtain of Creature Quest or it is just random and pure luck?

It depends of how many dungeons you have filled. More dunegoens = quicker reaction time from defenders.

Thanks! Now that is a problem for me as I can fill only 1 dungeon with good creatures... well I could fill all 3 but I am afraid those 2 weak dungeons would get crushed

Well that's a goal to get at. 
In my opinion it is best to hang out in silver until you have three strong dungeons. Because in gold, you'll need five.

A level 180 player with Dracolich Nightqueen:
+50% resist all debufs
+50% resist all debufs
+40% chance to reduce incoming damage by 50%
...*sad Panda/Phoenix*...
I couldnt simply put any debuff and the dracolich was healing itself for almost 75% of HP!

Yes Dracolich is the scariest boss there is out there. It takes a lot of single target nuke to beat it and your team must be strong enough to survive his attacks.

Well I did survive and killed it but the 100% = immunity to debuffs is scary

Noob question (I tried searching), but I read on Mantastic's page that he recommends doing your diamond summons during summoning events. I'm on the kindle platform (don't know if that makes a difference) but I see that there was a Shady Summons event on 7/24.
I can see how that would help if I were looking particularly for a black creature, but does it matter otherwise?
And how often do summoning events happen?

Yes it's better to wait for summoning events as it increases your chances of targeting specific creatures. IMO it's best to hoard enough diamonds for at least 2-3 multisummons when there is an event that interests you. I don't know for how long you've been playing but first advices would be patience and do with what you have, think long term to multiply what-if scenarios that could turn in your favor.
Congratulations again to the guild! I am very proud by our code and the results it gives us.

Sorry for the slow reply, but that advice really paid off. Thanks Galaad! Got a 4 dot Cerberus during an event that increased odds on higher dots for diamond summons.

Looks like a nice all-round unit. Hits all foes for 60-280% PWR, can stun, buffs itself, has protection against debuffs, protection against damage, protection against DoTs. Might be a good boss, depending on Tome and Enchantments.

Another question.
Sometimes my creatures display STR numbers, sometimes Level numbers. I really don't know how to switch, or why it switches or changes, feeling like rather randomly. So, can anyone help me elucidate that?

It switches automaticaly when you are editing your armies in Guild Wars tab.
And you can switch it back in the SORT tab - its at the bottom of the list

Would be fine, of course you will be way behind the vets but there also is new players all the time, and pvp is divided into tiers now.
