A new HoMM 3 ERA version was released
Current version: 3.2.0
Briefly: doubling of EPM library size, fixing bugs in the engine and plugins, new and fixed EPM commands, fixing monster specialization frames, functions for formatting numbers, further development of the game's dialog system, etc.
Updated the "wog native dialog" and "game bug fixes" plugins from igrik. The ability to easily configure sections of WoG Options via json files, support for setting which images will be selectable in dialogs, fixing bugs of damage blocking and creature autocloning.
Added localization-based number formatting tools and corresponding json settings.
Redesigned the file un44.def (monster specialization pictures): fixes and frames palette optimization. Author: Bes.
EPM editor was updated. Added support for auto-completion of new constants and events.
Added possibility to make some of pictures unselectable for decorative purposes to universal game dialog with a choice of up to 8 pictures.
ERM functions are finally able to return strings from functions.
It is become possible to redeclare EPM constants with the same values, which will allow mods for older engine versions to use new files with constants. The constants themselves are now written to saved games.
Added EPM commands to force a number to a fixed range and a command to get the value of a constant by name during script execution.
Added an event that triggers when the main settings for the battle are already set and you can analyze enemy stacks.
The ERM library now store most of the battle parameters in global variables.
The ERM library was enriched by functions for creating dynamic arrays, adding elements to them and pulling elements from the end of the array, stopping and starting game animations, opening arbitrary pop-up DL dialogs, changing the coordinates of DL dialogs, aligning the position of DL dialogs, and formatting numbers.
Fixed a few bugs in the Era engine: IF:Q, FU:S, HookCode.
Other changes.

Hello. WIth ERA 2.9.x I've used WoG Scripts mod and these scripts from WoG revised mod, Monsters drop artifacts and Monster drop resources.
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Agkzb-Ndg2gFl34vK-UJNmqYR6Bz?e=OnSUb0
However, on ERA 3.2.0 Monster drop resources works only if monster flee. Is this possible to fix with variables names change or this script is no longer compatible with ERA 3.2.x?

Seems unrecoverable, unless using cheats to uncover the map and see possible location of invalid resource object. According to HD log some resource object on map have invalid type. The issue could be caused by any script.
Try this assembly by Panda for new game: link

This is just a quick check to make sure I'm not insane. I'm using the latest version of ERA III 3.2 (the one that shipped with the most recent version of the gaming build), and I can't seem to get it to produce XXL maps or even use them. Yes, in answer to the obvious question, the XXL mod is enabled. I can select the largest setting (G I think) in the in-game random map routine, and the maps still come out 144 X 144. The standalone map editor likewise gives that as the highest possible setting. I tried creating a 252 X 252 map in my old 3.0.4 installation, and it worked with no issues. However, the latest version of map editor rejected it as an invalid or corrupt file and doesn't even attempt to load it.
I figured that if this were a general problem, some reference to it would have shown up, but so far, none have. Is there some obvious trick I'm missing here?

Just remove the old XXL-mod, and install a new XXL-mod (at this link)

Thanks for the help. However, I deleted the old XXL, inserted the new one, made sure it was active, and tried to create a map in map editor. I still got 144 X 144 as the largest option. (I tried both in the folder I'm currently using that includes additional mods and in a folder with only the gaming build installed (full assembly, including the mod for the new tavern videos) In both cases, I got the same results. I could select G as a setting for the in-game random map generator, but the resulting map was still only 144 X 144. Is there anything else I can try?

Check your mini-map right corner or press "W" to select mode.
