Just to clear any hate towards us doing that, NWC planned to add an on/off option for it, in-game, and we are following their design philosophies.

Hehe. We here love MM and stick to it (since it's the canon), so the answer should be obvious.
That's all for now, not gonna spill too many beans.
Edit: I just checked DnD dark elves, no way those would be in, at least not in such a project. Ubisoft can stick to them.

At this moment you can see some creature looking like a frost magician(probably belonging to Palace faction) guarding the portal at the right of the underground cavern as well as another creature guarding a dwelling at the left of the (strange new) obelisk, which seems like a Drider or such. Even its dwelling has spider webs.
My guess: it's an Alvar-based faction. Quartz dragons as top-tier, and H5-style riders which mount on Jadame "Basilisks". Driders are probably NOT as closely related to Dark Elves as in Forgotten Realms / DND, given their skin is pale gray not dark red.
Other units include some sort of gnome, myconid and a couple of dark elf units: a fighter and a mage.
Criticizm:
*Graphical art quality is not NWC/HotA level for a few units, most notably the White Tiger, but also Mandrakes.
Medieval mandrakes got drawn like this so if you take a suggestion, change it with something similar to AoW 1 Nature Elemental.

Regarding the graphical quality, most of the creatures shown are yet to pass the final phase of examination, after which the quality level will rise (shading and material tweaks etc.); the reason this town and creatures (and not others) were showcased was because of the season.
Palace is Vori elf town, by the way. Good observations on another town though!
In terms of mandrakes, they're represented in multiple ways in fantasy media, so this version is not as far-fetched, considering their faction's trope too; H3 itself does also take certain liberties when representing some creatures too.

The reason I suggested change of mandrake model is to have something more fit for Heroes 3 engine. The main issue with the mandrake is the leaf/petal dress it looks so different from Heroes 3 style.
In any case, if you guys have a discord channel or something like that I have a huge collection of (Heroes of) Might and Magic artwork, renders, screenshots. I miss only the creature images from old MM3-5 games (Isles of Terra and XEEN games) but I will add them. Hope they can be of use/inspiration to you (same as MM5 armadillos inspired HotA Factory).

Note: I saw some people debating whether DoR replaces towns or not: it's been years of development and all new content we include is added to the game without replacing any existing elements, with map editor support too.

Edit. Gobin from Forge looks like from screens of NWC during E3 are you guy planing also reicarnate all units that was know from orginal Forge in this style ?

There are plenty of improvements planned, as well as already done improvements. And not improving RMG would be a shame.

I already shared with FirePaladin. He has shared it with the team though.
Its both the defs from acidcave as well as some 3D renders you can find on the internet like this.
The thing about my compilation is that everything is there as in an album and will facilitate work for dev team.
