How will this install, will it be standalone for the vanilla H3 Complete game or is it a VCMI mod, or is it an ERA mod?
Will it bundle in the alternate creatures mod/other from the MDT and all be standalone for H3 Complete?
Will the features in it be modular or open source? I'm concerned about another mod going the direction of HotA being locked down/preventing modding and trying to change the entire base game according to the author's personal belief of how it should be balanced for tournament play instead of just sticking to new features.
Most of your questions are answered in the thread itself, or even the teaser (neither VCMI or ERA are used). And again, I'm a fan of modding freedom.
@antipaladin
Even if it's small, I do remember it.
____________ Enshackling time itself, heralds of the Ancients among their heat-depleted land.... Who could they be, who could rally the beings of the East and the North and control the mortals' fate?
I'm very happy that you guys support the project and the team because we couldn't do more than give them our support so that they feel encouraged and motivated, I also want to apologize if my attitude seems compulsive or an overzealous fanaticism for this project, but I have a feeling this will be a wonderful thing for the community at large because it could unify all Heroes 3 modding enthusiasts, old and new, even those who work With ERA and VCMI, beyond bringing us a new unofficial expansion in the style of HotA, it will provide us with a modding system that the only thing you might lack is creativity.
every mod, small or good, is nice addition to the gameplay, as well as a reminder of how great this community is.

The answer is actually in the teaser.

This teaser for me is like a closed chest shining with its striking decorations with the lock without unlocked. I mean, it implies that there are many things to see, but that they are hidden. Everything is superficial, but nothing deep. So let's look forward to another teaser for more clues.
Seems the Reckoning is nigh! We've been delighted to observe the level of interest in the project, even at this very early stage. Among others, Norovo from YouTube has provided a full and compelling analysis of the teaser trailer, garnering over 60,000 views:
It's been great to see everyone analysing this early preview, coming up with theories and debates on the snippet of content shown thus far. Keep it up! We're humbled!
There will be much more to come in terms of content and polish as development moves steadily forwards.
To clarify one point mentioned 8 minutes in - February 10 was simply the date provisionally slated for the initial teaser, which we were able to pull forward dramatically thanks to a Herculean effort from our programmers and artists. We don't currently have any major announcements set for that date, but we'll see whether we can at least provide a "small gift" as mentioned to help tide you over .
Thanks for your feedback and stay tuned for further updates!
The other major race resident with the Snow Elves of Vori is the Nisse.
The Nisse is a diminutive, gnomish creature of Nordic lore commonly associated with guarding the homestead from evil. In its Day of Reckoning incarnation - much like the Leprechaun - it exaggerates particular folklore and deliberately plays up pop culture imagery, honing in on a classical link with Santa Claus.
The DoR Nisse represents something of a loose conglomeration of Santa himself and the traditional concept of "Christmas elves" (as opposed to the angelic elves of the Prose Edda, represented by the Snow Elf). Motifs of time distortion are particularly relevant to the Palace: the multiplicative Nisse race lends some realism to the fable of Santa crossing the globe in one night, distributing presents to all.
In earlier Might and Magic games, such as Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra, the Gnome race was intrinsically associated with snowy regions, and the Nisse loosely approximates the same vision. While most of the other denizens of the Palace are relatively elegant and ponderous, the Nisse comes closer to channeling a festive, whimsical sensibility... bar those occasions when whacking enemies upside the head with its hefty sack of presents.
The Nisse's upgrade, the Tomte, keeps a list of who's naughty and nice, and rewards those it encounters accordingly! Rummaging through its sack, it is capable of granting a helpful boon to friendly units of good/nice alignment (Castle/Rampart/Tower/Palace), and of providing a debilitating lump of coal to enemy stacks of evil/naughty alignment (Inferno/Necropolis/Dungeon/etc). Creatures of incompatible alignment, including neutral troops, receive neither help nor hindrance from these jovial folk, for they are not susceptible to this ability.
I think we have reached a point in the community where there are more content creators than consumers thus mass interest is limited.
Personslly, im not sure how I feel about a santa claus level 1 mass unit and also makes me feel this will be "chritsmas town", but I can aapreciate the level of care and detail in the model and the work to make such a specifically very "flavorful" ability work as intended.
PS: As an aside, making the caps lock in your username be variable and matter for edit ability is such a janky, absolutely obsolete thing in this forum...
____________
On the contrary, I think the consumer base is larger than one might think - especially if one considers that some of the content creators will be consumers for projects other than their own.
As an aside, to explain the name in greater detail (as someone who speaks a source language), nisse and tomte were originally simply two different names for the same gnomish farm protection spirit.
In the 19th century, there was a sort of cultural fusion between the tomte/nisse, the yule goat and Santa Claus, which led to Sweden having "Jultomten" (the counterpart to Santa Claus, and so overwhelmingly culturally dominant that if you say the tomte, that's the one you refer to) and later "Tomtenissar" (the Christmas elves counterpart, basically simply the older gnomish tomte presentation repackaged as Jultomten's helpers) - Norway has "Julenissen" as the Santa Claus counterpart.
There is actually a good reason for that, but I won't spoil it.
Edit: ignore the post's tagged `shock` emoji, misclick.

lmao *this* is why my edit always fails? cos i need to use variable caps lock in user name? hahahah good to know.
Cool creature! I like having the alignment matter in more mechanics. Now I just need to stop calling wood elves "tonttu", seeing the name of these guys
