Interesting - I didn't realize there was an enforced limit.
In any case, that's a programming issue. You'd have to contact Val about it, and since he probably reads this thread like once a decade, you're better of sending him an email if you want to have him consider your request.

It would be nice if Corribus takes the WoG forum, activity increases and moderation became inexistent. Not much chit-chat in, thus it will not be too exhausting.

The five lines is because you have a wide screen. I'm pretty sure it's limited to certain number of characters that add up to five lines on smaller resolutions.

I have noticed a problematic thing, and I'd really like if you'd fix it. The problem is - HC Search. I always get countless results, most of which have no relation with what I searched for. They are on the list only because they contain the word I searched for in some of tons of replies. To make searcing easier I suggest adding an option which will search only for thread titles with desired word. Otherwise, I get better results with Google. Also, adding possibility to search only ceratin boards would be nice to have.

I agree, but Val rarely visits this place. It would be a real stroke of luck if he appeared here, let alone read this.
Still, this is a very good suggestion and I support it.

So what if we just move this over to a another platform all together? I have been here for years and not much has happened in the way of renovating. Like having an option of using a HC IM while online reading posts etc.

A good programmer I know offered to upgrade forum for free and Val declined, at least this is what I got as answer via Cepheus. So I would not count on.
Heroes gaming subforums are in stone age, not being able to update 1 years old posts is a huge penalty.

As far as I kow, this is already possible. If you "sort by threads" instead of "sort by posts", you should get better sorted results...

As much as I hate to admit it, it would almost be better to even move to a prepackaged software. Hell you can go start your own forum at Proboards and in minutes have twice the features we have here.
But Val still pays for the place so I guess we can't complain too much.
Actually what I'd love the most is some new skins or even a choice of background colors. I can't imagine that would be too hard to implement.

I'd hate it if we lost our history upon converting to a new software, wouldn't be worth it.
To be frank, despite its many flaws, I see no real issues with the current software, 'least from a long time user's viewpoint.
From a moderator's viewpoint I can imagine it's hell though. No thread-merging, manual uploading of avatars, no auto-restrictions on signature file-size etc etc.
