The VW is a place where we spam, post stupid things, funny things and everything in between.
Ofc a forum must have such a place, but should it increase the post count?
If you want your post count to increase, go post in the TaverN, OSM, Other Games.
So, if our post count doesn't increase in VW, why should it drop, too?
If a member has more posts in VW than any other place, deleting a thread where he posted would result in a negative post count.

First and foremost, Val doesn't come by that often anymore, so waiting for him to change anything would be kind of pointless.
Second, the system already in place serves the same purpose: Threads are periodically deleted in the VW, thus eliminating most of the posts You feel shouldn't count anyway. It's not perfect - nothing is - but it's an elegant solution.(Don't worry about negative post counts, in the most extreme case when a member posts exclusively in the VW, the lowest he can get is 0 posts)

It honestly doesn't matter. Posts in the VW count towards your total posts until they are removed, So if you spam (Allot) you can actually see your rank and number of yellow stars change. But that takes some doing, now doesn't it?
And the only way to get a negative post count (or fewer than you should have) is by posting three times in a row. There isn't actually a backlash from posting in the VW...

I've encountered a glitch while being on HC on my mobile phone. I would normally vote on a poll, and the vote gets stored. However, I can vote again after I'm sent back to a thread! I have never voted again. I have Samsung GT-C3300K and NetFront Browser 3.5

The_Polyglot reported that the older headlines don't show at all under Opera, and they are partially obscured by a white bar of sorts under Firefox.(The latest one appears not to be affected under either of these browsers)

Issue appears to be partially fixed, now I see the latest two bits of news under Opera, and all the news items under Firefox - though in this case, a white bar still obscures the upper half of the letters.

The White bar also progressively covers more and more of the news as the topic changes, until it is no longer visible. This problem occurs on Fire Fox and Chrome.

I decree suggest that the Mod Squad use a designated thread where they can mention any major actions that they take, such as perma-silencing a known member. It doesn't have to be (and probably shouldn't be) a discussion thread. Just a place to give a quick synopsis of any major activity. This can be overwhelming for a massive forum with lots of flamers, but for HC such a thread would be used fairly infrequently, and I think the community would have better peace of mind + be better informed that way. I've seen a few other places do something like that.

To what end though? So we can have more threads/spam when we have to ban somebody and the usual suspects take umbrage at it? I mean I am for a transparent Mod Squad believe it or not, but in the present atmosphere I think it is counter productive.

Hey Blizzard why not just plain out ask the mods the make the mod Squad public.
Why not mention every member on HC who left, got silenced or banned.
I remember quite a few who got banned or silenced.
If the member is valuable or if we are being deceived like whats his name who had the so called cancer, then why not.
We was told when Wesley, matthy, Stiven, Murphy & others who was banned.
Pretty soon we may want to know everyone who lost QP's too lol.
Point is that we dont need to know every detail.
That is why there is a mod squad.

Like Aculias said, mod squad is used for the mods only. Sure, I'd love it if I knew what the mods were saying but it's not my business to know. Plus, if they had a thread which was public, the amount of people that would most likely complain would be unbelievable. It would drag this forum way down.

When a decision is likely to affect a large portion of the community, such as taking disciplinary action against a prolific member, we do try to be proactively open and inform the community of the reasoning being whatever action was taken. In the event we do not mention a displinary action, members are certainly free to inquire about it. That said, I for one would be hesitant to dedicate a thread toward reporting of actions mods take because we all know it would just end up being an organized venue for the usual suspects to continually question moderator decisions and prattle on about the fairness (or unfairness) of HC rules and policy.
