Quote: My latest maps, "New Magic", "The Swords of Night and Day", and "Friends and Foes" are at ByteBandits Maps (The Yahoo Groups WoG Archive).
Speaking of which, I think it should offer free access inside-or fixed-. I don't know why it acts like this, but I gave up long time ago about logging in, it constantly asks me to register, I do it, and next time I am again "guest". No one else experienced this?

I only have to log in, not re-register. I had to get a Yahoo email account (which I never use) when I first registered, and must log in with that email address (@yahoo.com). It did seem an overly-complicated process to register there - I recall being frustrated by it. Lately it remembers my Yahoo email address and I only have to remember the password.
I use this bookmark:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/wakeofgodsmaparchive/?prop=eupdate
and then click the "Sign In" item and give my Yahoo email address and password.
ByteBandit would be able to answer better, but I have not heard from him in a long time.
P.S. To Solitaire345 - thanks for the ERM Help update.

That's how should work, but it doesn't. After entering my nick/pass, it asks again to register to Yahoo group. Did it 6 times until now and had to wait confirmation each time. Should be access free, like any maps hosting site.
@Edit: got inside. Looks like I have to log out from Yahoo then log back, and maparchives recognize me. If automatic log, it offers to join only.

They've updated ERA so I think you can use numbers over 100, but it's simplest to save your script as script##.erm (## being a non-used script number, check your 's' folder in 'Data' folder). It should work then, for all maps.

That is all it takes. Is it in the 's' folder? I just tried a script, said:
ZVSE
!#IF:M^Working^;
and it worked so it takes nothing more. If you're not comfortable with triggers use !# just to see if it's working, otherwise maybe wrong folder or bad file, did you write it with ERM Editor?

I saved my script like you said but it had no effect.
I saved a script97.erm and ... nothing happens.
There have been one or two other instances of this reported, and I vaguely recall that it happened to me when I first started to do ERM scripts.
First, if you want to add a script to the WoG Options menu, you must read the text file "How to Edit Zsetup Files" which is located in Data/Text Resources Copy. (It also mentions the use of .ers files as an alternative to editing Zsetup files.)
That file states that script numbers up to 99 can be used (in WoG 3.58f), but maybe in some early versions of WoG that limit was lower - just a guess. Anyway, try this: open the file Data/s/script40.erm in the Script Editor and paste your test script at the end of it (your ZVSE line will not be needed as part of the paste), and resave it. Then wogify a map and see if your script is now active. (It should be.)

Hi I'm trying out the custom dialogue option and I keep getting an error crash and my dialogue box never shows up. I made it using Grayface's program for templates. I gave it an ID of 1. I saved it as box.txt and put it in the Data folder. And then my code:
ZVSE
!#DL1:N^box.txt^;
!#DL1:S1;
why does this crash? I want it to show up before the game starts, is this allowed?

Try first with a regular UN44.def, and remove all extra frames >356. If it works, then the problem is in the additional frames you put in. Also dialog can not have more than 600 height.

The height was the problem. Thanks. Is there a max width as well? Also, as I'll just ask all my noob questions now, is there a way to make it so I can click each hero picture?

Quote: 800x600 max. What you mean click on hero picture? Show an example
Like I was using !!IF:Q. What I am trying to do is make a custom hero select screen because I am not replacing the Conflux hero portraits in the menu screen, so the player needs to know what the hero specialty is. So I would like to press the portrait that now shows up, and press ok and then start with that hero.
