Phoenixes were H2's Champ and were originaly planned to be there in H5 as well(NWC).
We are talking about Ashan's Sylvan here, not NWC's Sorceress Town. My opinion is that the Phoenix should remain a summoned and a neutral creature, because it doesn't fit well will the Sylvan theme. Just imagine H5' Sylvan, with that tree and that lake, with a Firebird in it. It would be just like out-of-place. This is my opinion

I'm fine with that as Earth's Balance was my choice, the strategy side is great (a huge lot of entangle and a huge lot of shooting, strike and run and/or no retaliation) and it doesn't force you to focus on 2 specific units sinergizing with each others. Dryads will probably be crapt if your champion choice isn't Treant on the other 2 options.

I actually scared myself there for a moment. I thought it was Sylanna's Fury that was wining... whew.
As long as that doesn't win, I will be happy. And now that I think about it, didn't people dislike healing units? Then why would they even like the Dryad in the first place, and wouldn't it necessitate the use of treants as champions to make Dryads useful at all? I am warming up to "Earth's Balance" more. I find it strange that only when Treant is automatically needed (being a Elite) that Dryad is nowhere to be seen...

I voted for The Strength of the Forest, because Sylvan without unicorns is not Sylvan. And it has both this interesting new snake thingy AND emerald warriors (wich, I hope, as War-overlord has said, are lynx riders). Earth’s Perfect Balance is interesting too as it has pheonix in the lineup, but unicorn is absent. Finaly, Sylanna's Fury is ah huge NO for me. Uncreative blade dancers? Check. No iconic-to-elves unicorns? Check. No potential lynx riders? Check. Granted, it has a deer wich I would love to see, but not at a cost of loosing lynx riders.

The deer unit is the only thing that is interesting in the Sylannas Fury line-up. Other then that it's the most boring one. I mean c'mon Pixie and Dryad seem very similar, and Blade Dancers are a no-no... And Unicorns are to important/nostalgic for me to cast them away (though basically they are horses with a horn, what's so special about them ), so for now I voted for the Strength of the Forest...

That is nothing bad. It is not leading by large (only 8%), so it is quite possible that Strength of the Forest will outscore it by the end of the week, if not day

They should have revealed stronghold's lineup sooner...

Whichever the way, they have ridiculously effed up with these lineups... They should have rather added a vote for each distinctive tier with several units instead of full line-ups... Now if you want to change a unit mid-way, you'd have to step back and take a look at the premise of the voting system, which sets everything in stone for further development... And it backfires. Well done.

I seriously hope that in case Earth's perfect balance wins, Phoenix won't be a classical fire themed one but more nature themed instead. Like moon phoenix in H6 but with leaves instead of feathers or something. A fire phoenix would just stand out in a Sylvan faction in the worst possible way.

And leafy pheonix will not be a peonix at all. Heroes6 moon pheonix was the farthest it could get, and leafy one... It's just TOO far from a classic fiery one

But I don't see people highlighting Unicorns in their coments, but I do see a lot of "nice Pheonix is back" like if it was not in every game :-(

Two reasons:
1. Treants should never ever be a champion unit.
2. People who first played h3 will choose unicorns, people who first player h4 will choose phoenixes...
That said, NO1 is my personal opinion, but I'd rather see elves be more balanced than slow and sturdy. IMO if you decide to include elves, their faction should be nimble, swift, with some backup tanks (treants in h5, phoenixes/griffins in h4) and I do not for one want to see another tank champion unit in a million years...
