Erwan's Cirque des Araignées sounds better though, now that I think of it.

Ok, there are two large problems with the game where i feel changes are absolutely necessary and possible:
-Resources
Right now they are comletely interchangeable and forgettable, both in name and look meaning they are both hard to tell apart but also hard too remember which ones you need or not. Get new ones or, better yet, get back to the old ones: they were easy to tell apart, memorable and made sense with cultural and alchemical links in the real world. They were perfect.
-Hero specialties
I get that they are supposed to be sort of early bonuses but they are still completely unbalanced and make very little sense: +1 Cavalier is for example only a bonus depending on how long you can keep the first one and won't be much of a starting bonus beyond that as it takes a long time to get the dwelling and you likely won't get immediately due to the cost. on the other hand, those with starting skills are really powerful early on but won't have any bonuses past the initial part of the game. What I am proposing is getting rid of Hero specialties entirely or rework them completely.
otherwise I'm quite enjoying the game and could totally spend a 10-20€ on it. Not more than that though.

I would do but I am not sure it is possible to fix the graphics much through patches. Also, it would mean another H6 crap release

If H6 did good (in Ubi's words, mind you), we may as well get H7 add-ons as well. So I doubt people'd move on like that.

Agree. But even if we are not right, the game development usually takes several months, so it is better to try to improve the current game than to wait for the new one.
I also doubt some future H8 will be make if H7 is not successful enough. Ubi told us very clearly, giving little money for H7.

Funnily, I remember names of all new resources perfectly (and I didn't pay that much attention to learn them) but I haven't learned the names of the old ones yet (despite being a Heroes player for nearly 8 years!) I would say that the greater problem is presentation (not graphics, graphics are ok.) Colours are washed out, interactible buildings are often hard to differentiate from the ones that are just a decoration and moreover, map descriptions of objects convey too much information that it sometimes spoils the fun. These issues need to be solved quickly, as they are the ones that spoil fun the most.

So many things were said about specializations, that I will just sum it up in one sentence - level-based system is way better than the current one.

Nice initiative but it is too late, the game is gold now. So be ready for 1000+1 patches after the release.
PS: anyone else got message that Uplay servers are offline? Or just me? Also their blog is unavailable.
