Thanks to their 30th anniversary celebrations and, the inevitable possibility that their demise in the year 2017 is quite a sure thing.

The funniest thing about that monthly give-away is that it started with their best selling title of Assassin's Creed.

Well, that's one of crazy things Ubisoft is doing as a company.
Instead of fixing broken games (and they do usually remain in a state that one or two medium patches could almost completely fix them) which would be much more appreciated and make fans much happier, they give free games to people.

| Now that Civ6 is out so the Civ5 mods on which I spent 6 months became worthless -and it hurts to see worldwide interest drop to zero in a nano-second, I have to admit I am rather grateful to Erwan or whatever his name is, Ubisoft and all the great people out there who, by their incompetence and lack of vision, made that my -as well as so many others- work on H3/WoG continues to survive and is still appreciated. Without you, there wouldn't be so many great projects and things to play. Thank you guys. |

But all the people who have to prepare these events... could be doing something much more useful
  .
Also when giving AC3, they lose potential money. Nobody will buy it now. I know it has already been out for some time so there would not be many new buyers, but still...

Or Ubisoft can pay many people to work on a game which woulld never get released but cannot pay for finishing games? That's absolutely illogical.

Young traveler, where do you go?
You're out of breath, your pace is slow.
Come here with me, let your strength grow.
Under this tree let's both lie low.

If you might wish, I'll tell you so
About a place I used to know,
About a time long, long ago,
About the name of a Hero.

A man of worth amongst men rose,
 A brilliant mind ideas appose,
 Ability aside logos,
 Sir Caneghem, the legend goes.

A world of wonders he created
 Where adventurers were fated
To find joy and be elated
 By the treasures that awaited.

What's its name? I knew you'd ask me,
But be sure to tell nobody
As its sound might ring of tragic:
It's the world of Might and Magic.

Bards sing songs, writers write prose,
 Flamboyant jesters truth might pose.
Yet no one ever dares compose
 The history between the woes.

One day, a hawk tripped at his door,
A lot of promises he bore
Of wealth and glory and much more
 Than Caneghem had dreamt before.

He knew the hawk and couldn't ignore
The offer that he had in store.
An oath of loyalty he swore,
An oath he'd soon come to deplore.

While in its prime, the world was sold
 To 3DO for petty gold.
 The mighty company grew bold
And before long it had to fold.

 Sir Caneghem lived to behold
How his mistakes came to unfold.
The fate of what he called "his world"
Was no longer what he controlled.

He knew that 3DO would fall
And tried preparing for it all.
He thought that Solvang was the call
To salvage something, then start small.

It was too late, the truth was cold,
Nothing was left to be remold.
 The poetry was once foretold:
Another page - the world was sold.

"Outside my reach" he subtly said
Filled with regret, his heart was shred.
He knew it well, inside he bled.
A lot of tears that May were shed.

One day, a letter on his bed
Caught his attention, and it read:
"We're Ubisoft and as we said,
We'd like to work with you!" they pled.

Now, why do you think he would go
A chance like that away to throw?
I guess we both will never know
The reason why he whispered: "No."

| Getting a QP for blaming JVC? Sure feels unworthy, no matter how well-written.
BTW if there is a source about Ubisoft trying to hire him and him saying no I'd be thankful for a link, otherwise it's fantasy. And even if it really was the case, there could be a thousand of legitimate reasons, like depression, moving on to something else, Ubisoft's contract terms being too awful to accept, etc.

There is not only no point here but it's also completely off, imo.
