Well HotA has also shown (some) interest in balancing the game, so why not continue the good work.

phoenix4ever said: Actually I already did that, as in it is possible to assemble WW, but it does'nt give any further bonuses. But it is a bit boring to assemble it when it does'nt actually do anything, but I think the original version is very OP and again it ruins Mysticism and partly Intelligence. Why not have it give a moderate bonus so it's actually balanced...
As if you'd pick Mysticism anyway.

Mysticism is garbage so it cannot be "ruined". Wizard's well complements intelligence rather than "ruining" it.

Mysticism is not garbage in my game, it's almost as good as Intelligence actually, I pick it for main heroes often.

Still can't get the reason why you want a change for HotA... 'coz HotA will never be the game you want it to be. Your opinions are quite "strict"

Well this is an idea thread, so I post my ideas here. I'm not saying all things should be exactly like I say, but perhaps some things could be taken "more in that direction".
I tried modding WW myself, but failed, therefore I post here.

Good Idea
This is how it could look like:

Hehe, you even got up to grandmaster traits... Id like that too for HotA. Its the simplest solution to nerf "expert earth magic" so in the future mass spells only on grandmaster level and everything is fine... this would also mean you may balance skills "in between" much better.

A thought on Scorpicores' paralyzation. Paralyzed units take 50% damage as if petrified by Basilisks or Medusas. Since there is no protecting stone material shouldn't they take >100% damage being unable to react to an attack?
This would Scorpicores make ever so slightly more worthwhile.

Does anyone agree that Nomads on the map look tiny compared to other creatures?

Yeah I noticed that as well. Nomads are really tiny. It bugs me to no end.

Not going to get involved in the Secondary Skill discussion, because that one's been done to death, so here's a few ideas for new Artefacts:
Tome of the Novice - Hero has access to all Level 1 spells
Tome of the Acolyte - Hero has access to all level 2 spells
Tome of the Mage - Hero has access to all level 3 spells
Tome of the Archmage - Hero has access to all level 4 spells
There's not a fifth tome, since that's already covered by the Spellbinder's Hat.
Also a range of artefacts that give the hero the same bonus as having certain secondary skills (but not those that have artefact sets already).

Why would you do that?! Is'nt it enough HotA ruined Pathfinding already?

You mean with the Wayfarer's Boots? They were sort of the foundation for my idea actually...

This is very boring.
There are already books of magic in the game.
My version:
Tome of the Novice (slot - different) - hero has access to all Level 1 spells.
Enchanted ring (ring slot) - hero has access to all level 2 spells.
Sigil of the sorcerer (shield slot) +2 knowledge and hero has access to all level 3 spells.
Wizard's wand (sword slot) +2 the power of magic and hero has access to all level 4 spells.

I would actually enjoy some atypical artifacts, like a wand (right hand) that gives power, a tome (left hand) that gives knowledge, a plate (chest) that gives defense and some head gear that gives attack.
I know that the last one doesn't make the most sense, but neither does a plate boosting power skill.

Yeah, years ago I suggested a Pendant of Fire and Ice giving knowledge of all Water&Fire battle spells and full expertise of both schools but only during battle (no WaterWalk without Water and no Visions). Another pendant or a shield could give Armorer and Tactics and a sword could give Offense and Archery, for instance.
I would like to suggest an improvement to Dungeon's grail. It's the only of the expensive towns whose grail doesn't give nothing special except a bonus to defending hero.
