No highscore at end of campaign
First of all, thanks for this great project!
I have one small remark - I finished the campaign (hard) with Archibald, but at the end there was no score. It crashed when the dragon burned the paper. I read, that it was fixed, but I saw the same behaviour when the streamer Lexiav finished the campaign.
So mayba a general issue still? I used the latest version from roughly a week ago.

Could you, please attach a savefile with crash? If it occurs we'll fix it in a few days!
Regarding campaign highscore. In a case you earned low score, you won't be able to see your result in a table. It's the behaviour of the original game as well.
But feroes2 is missing text on a dragon screen indicating current score. That's known issue and will be fixed in the nearest future.
Btw, did it crash at Lexiav's stream? Couldn't find the issue at that video.

thanks for the reply!
I think the description "crash" was not correct, the game just did not display the score. I looked at the highscores again and the issue is probably, that the leaderboard is just the wrong way around with 3000 day being number 1 and 600 days being number 10. This doesnt make a lot of sense but explains why neither I not Lexiav where at the highscore

True. We have an issue with campaign score after we implemented difficulty selection. I hope it would be fixed in a few days.

Dear fans of the fheroes2 project and of Heroes of Might and Magic 2!
Fheroes2 Resurrection team introducing a new release of the fheroes2 engine - 0.9.21.
We are happy to tell you that many significant milestones were reached. The list is quite long (as usual) and very diverse, so there should be something interesting for everyone. Here are some highlights that we have selected for you:
First of all, we solved a sound issue that would happen during playback of campaign videos for Windows users. No more audio distortions or crashes.
We added new options for graphics in the main menu settings. Now you can select V-Sync to solve potential screen tearing problems, and display system information like the Frames Per Second (FPS), and toggle full screen mode on or off.
As usual the AI has seen substantial improvements. It will now arrange its troops better and has better priorities for what to do on the adventure map. In addition to this, we expect players who try the final Roland campaign scenario to meet a much greater challenger now - without making any spoilers…
Translations are constantly improving and this release makes it possible to select Czech, Hungarian and Dutch languages. Translations were also improved for Russian, Belarusian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, French and Norwegian. The translations were becoming so many that we had to add a new language selection dialog.
Last but not at all least, we have added an initial Android version! This has long been awaited and thanks to hard work put in by our members this was achieved. We need to emphasize that it is the first version of this and that there are still things left to do to polish the experience to an acceptable quality. Soon we will update our documentation on how to install it and play on your own devices.
As usual, we fixed more than 40 bugs since last release.
We hope that you will enjoy this new release and as always thank you all for your support!

Brilliant! Ive tested Android version all works! Mdi music is very very good! Movement is very fast!
Now I need only modding option!
First only stats changes is ok like Steven Aus old mod:

Multiplayer support is in project roadmap for sure. Our team is planning to start multiplayer development in 2023.

Hi, thank you so much for remaking this great game! I have one idea, which could be added:
- Make Captains which are defending towns to be able to gain experience and leveling up.
- Leveling system would be the same as with normal Heroes. Same number of experience would be needed to gain same level.
- They would not gain every secondary skills, but only those, which make sense for them. Maybe even some special secondary skills designed for them. For example make stronger walls or towers. Or be able to learn spells from visiting hero.
- Chances for each primary skill would not be the same. For example Barbarian Captain more chance for Attack skill. Warlock Captain more chance for Spell Power skill.
- Captains level would be permanent. When enemy capture your town, Captain will not chance.
- Purpose of this change is to make defending town with only creatures without hero still viable even in late game, when impact of heroes on the fight is great. And making this part of the game more fun.

Currently our team is focused on implementing original game mechanics, to make engine as close to the original, as we can. It's too early to implement such things, you've proposed.
Later, using the capabilities of open engine code we're going to introduce our expansion.
We have a certain plans for captains within the expansion. So don't worry, there could appear something similar to what you've proposed above.

The majority of languages were made with the help of our community. Open source engine made it possible to implement almost any language into the game. If you wish, you can also help with translation, if you find some untranslated strings or propose a better translation as well.

Dear fans of fheroes2 and of Heroes of Might and Magic 2!
We finally reached the milestone we have been working on for more than 3 years. Today we are happy to present you the 1.0 release of fheroes2!
During the past one and a half months, the team has made huge improvements in the rendering of the game. We fixed multi-screen support, fullscreen mode with high DPI, improved overall rendering on Adventure Map and more. Now you can enjoy the gameplay with maximum comfort.
The team brought the Android release to the fully playable state: we added right click emulation support, reduced minimum Android version to 5.1, fixed constant scrolling of Adventure Map and added several more improvements to provide smooth gameplay on every Android device.
We also greatly improved the animation during battles. No more freezing units during actions or clunky animations of some monsters. On top of this, the team added full replication of Luck and catapult animation.
Moreover, the team introduced a lot of algorithmically generated and translated buttons to be able to play the game in any language. The work is still in progress but it is a huge step forward.
Besides this, we fixed issues with Campaign rewards, updated translations, reworked HotKey system and more.

Even though the 1.0 release is a huge milestone for the project, this is just the beginning of a much larger scale of the project. We are going to release the Android version in the Google Play Store, add an Editor, multiplayer and most importantly release our independent expansion.

Are you sure, you running the latest (1.0) version?
So, the game crashes while dragon animation? Could you, please, provide a savefile right before the final battle? I've just tested one more time and everything works for me. Dragon blows and then game shows highscores window.
You can be out of the list, if your score was low.
