No, I would run with titans alone + heroes and have nagas for late fights
Just like you do with angels, dont tell me you run with monks ,,, hah!

Just a thought, Jinxer's idea is actually kind of possible to make in Map Editor. Not literally though, needs a bit imagination.
Method is simple, give the player's hero (2x)Gloves and/or Boots in the quest hut if the player has some low level slow moving troops in the army. If an army travels without those creatures then take the artifacts away with placed event and reset the hut. Here's an example (for Order only):
Quest Hut
If Current Player is Red AND Not Boots_Player_Red AND Number of Halflings + Dwarwes Greater than 0 then Give Boots of Travel, set Boots_Player_Red True.
Placed Event
If Current Player is Red AND Has Boots of Travel AND Number of Halflings + Dwarwes Less than 1 then Take Boots of Travel, set Boots_Player_Red False.

well, if you were to do that, there'd be no reason for a hut, just have it all in an event. but there's no real practical way to do this, i don't think. armies with low level creatures with boots are still about the same movement as armies with high level creatures without boots, not more.

Camel you dont need them to be faster. Just make the armies travel equally as fast with Low levels as they would with only Level 7's. The whole point is to promote actually using low level creatures and not being afraid to carry them since they to slow.

well even so.. in final battle will they present? not on most of the snow maps. you'll have 4 maybe 5 heroes, then L3s and L4s.. where is the room for L2s?

now now no need to get offensive to the maps, but low level units are slow for a reason and leave it that way.
why should a ballistae be as fast as a champion or angel? there is no logic behind it.

i think idea is amazing, if there is way to work .. and work right with no possible cheese-effects
but.. seting it to false when lev1's disembark certain hero?.. will boots just dissapear? and reapear once lev1's embark again? so simple my buttock, this need thinking and testing to work, if it works, not as a script only but as gameplay.

and while you're at it, refresh creature movement when transfered to another hero
and voilą you've got chaining - simpler way to do it: double click homm3.exe

doesn't matter insa, although i haven't played around with it yet, i dont think it can be done (practically)..
key word is "practically" ... you might be able to do it by COVERING the map with such events but if you do so map size will be too big. I know what youre thinking.. "all those placed events would only be referring to one actual event" in making my newest map which will come out within a few weeks which requires me to place many of the same type of event in a small area for certain not-yet-specified reasons, i've found that even if you have only 1 actual event under "placed events", if you place a bunch of event bubbles referring to that same event it still takes a LOT of space. to cover the whole map with them would be 100+k, i estimate.. and i'm not exaggerating. i covered a small area with them and saw the map size go up by a little more than a K. so even if the actual map was really simple, you'd have 130K. complex maps could be 170 or more. i dunno, tell me your thoughts.. if can think of a practical way to do it, speak up

hush, hush.. h4 n00b.. we talk of making creature movement closer to equal, not all exactly the same. and we don't talk of refreshing creature movement, so this is nothing like chaining. think quietly in the future
edit: and draco, homm is not a game of logic, no need to obey logic now, especially if it will make the game better

needs think-test-think-test .. im under updating pwspots right now and wrapping up -TRON for release-needs some further gameplay testing
i will look into it, cause its very interesting. could work, maybe not as Thunder wrote, but as some other variant even if less effective
i have faith in the editor cooperation with fantasy
