the underground looks really nice...i must say ubihole have done a great job with the graphics...esp the water and the underground.
as for the statue, i think i saw this before in other screenshots also. probably gives luck or morale boost.

Something very strange:
In the single player campaign map screenshot, it shows Slava reflecting on being a Duke, but
"The Holy Griffin Empire" (843 YSD) and
"The Silver Cities" (771 YSD)
didn't exist in Heroes VI (564 YSD).....
Shouldn't it be Falcon Empire and Seven Cities in Heroes VI time?

I'm so bloody happy, as a true acolyte of the underground. I can not, I simply can not express my happiness enough over seeing how awesome the underground is on every screenshot this far.
It really is stunning.
It's also so varied with many different terrains and doodads.
OMG!
It feels fantastic considering how awful it was in H5.

I love that I can actually see stuff in the underground. in H5 I specifically avoided maps with underground because of the lack of visibility.

I'm really curious. I would like to know if the town screens will be fully 2D or will be a 2D screen with 3D objects.

What I worry for - it's the terrain on the townscreen. I dislike that Academy town was flying in the sky under ground in Heroes V (and Heroes I-III too) =\

Hmm, I see a couple of problems here:
- no academy (or its equivalent) in HoMM I
- there wasn't any underground until H3
- the town wasn't a flying one till HV

LOL. So these promblems are only yours.
I've just generalized: in previous heroes towns have same inside terrain. Of course I'm not stupid and know that HoMM 1-2 hadn't underground. But in Heroes 3 if Tower set in subterrain when you enter to it you see that there is the sky and snow mountains That's big LOL I say...

Well, no. It will be something new. Because it will be the Reveal - meaning that we'll see actual animated 3D models, we'll probably see a hero or two, and we'll learn exactly how the Sanctuary faction fits into the storyline.
The new information won't be the fact that it's Sanctuary - we already more or less know that. But just like the Stronghold reveal, there's a bit more to it than just "oh, hey, it's naga, surprise?" because it's everything that the official announcement entails.
Kind of like when Nintendo revealed Skyward Sword at E3 - we all knew there was going to be a new Zelda title, but the reveal showed us exactly what that new title would look like. So it was new.
We're not lying to ourselves. We're just waiting in eager anticipation for the official announcement of something we sort of knew already, because the official announcement will include more than just a few pieces of early-stages concept art.

I am going to look forward to the battles in H6.....
For example, Haven in H5, I always used to have my archers in a corner and split peasies 1 x 1 x 1 x 1, worked really well against large creatures...
In H6, you can see the synergy between the 3 core units:
- the archers will shoot
- the praetorian's could split up to protect sisters and shooters
- sisters are there to heal damage done to praetorian's
It seems to work really well and I'm sure other factions core 3 units will have similar synergy.
I'm just thinking, the skill trees could be too much infomation spread out....I liked H5 and H3 where you could see all your skills and abilities on one screen and look and stare at it to think where to head to next.....but looking forward to H6 of course!

Y, looks like UBI tester is really newbie and know nothing about battle strategy. Example is battle vs earth elementals. Archers must be in corner, pretorians must stay in defense preventing archers to be blocked. Why to send pretorians forward in battle then opponent have no ranged units ?

Haha lol, yeah imagine the shame if they would actually lose in their own gameplay video.
Seriosuly I don't really think it matters when it's just a game preview, but yeah i can't wait for the battles in heroes 6.
I just hope the AI is a little better then it was in H5 where you could win a Dragon Utopia with just one unit and 2 arcane crystals...

Just a note on what I hated about the AI in previous games (especially H1 H2 and H3) is that the computer picks a target creature from your army (surprisingly it was often not a shooter, nor a strong creature) and 90% of it's attacks are against that particular stack This has been somehow improved in H4 and H5, hope AI in H6 will have diffferent strategies and various styles.
Example: H3 Conflux. I have an army of 300 Sprites 150 Ice and Storm Elementals each 25 Magic Elementals and 10 Phoenixes...WHO DOES THE AI SLAUGHTER FIRST? the AI shoots and carries his melee troops towards the Pixie, and casts offensive spells on her every turn. Where's the logic in attacking my weakest troop while wasting mana, which could be used to blind my stronger troops, slow them down etc. Very frustrating
