Just because I value the military a lot instead of a damn police force, some religion things, healthcare and welfare (like you) doesn't mean I value only the military.

You don't like grammar correction --> you are showing a poor example of keeping up culture, regardless of what you say, it doesn't change the facts. That's part of culture.
What exactly do you like in culture? How to wear a gun in your country's style? or how to drive tank-like vehicles?
Oh and I suppose you'll fund the poets if that issue pops up right? (like it did with mine).
Yes I know you picked the issue with the "theater" at the mimes and Charlie Chaplin guys but you didn't actually WANT it from the start, so don't tell me that you want arts or culture when you show a long thought like "will it impact my economy or military?" before funding any of those.

Oh and if I had to fund the arts or something else from the military, then I refuse. But if I have to fund them from nothing (increased taxes), or even better, from the police/religion, etc, then I'll do it with pleasure.
Also, you're in no position to tell me I don't value entertainment and arts, since you hate gambling (form of entertainment) and instead of funding it you make it illegal.
I would even make legal fights in an arena for entertainment, but of course you'll probably don't like it since it's too violent for your nation.

Well, it seems we have a different idea about culture... I consider religion culture for example...
And with culture I could also be talking about music and litterature (académie Française, anyone?)...
Though, science is culture as well.

A Request For Military Aid
The Issue
A small nameless nation within your sphere of influence has gone on a genocidal rampage within its own borders, ridding itself of what their Supreme Ruler For All Eternity, Emperor Samuel Longbottom, refers to as 'those pesky Bigtopians'. Some escaped refugees are requesting that your government do something to end the slaughter of millions.
The Debate
1. "They're killing everyone!" gasps Clint Hamilton, one of the refugees. "I implore you to please intervene and stop this murder of my people! If Drathirvlos has any compassion at all then it must help us! With these madmen out of power we can finally go about rebuilding our nation as a land of justice and freedom!"
2. "Woah, woah, we can't just go around being a knight in shining armour for every random hell-hole on this planet," says Violet Gutenberg, your minister of Foreign Relations. "Should we send citizens of Drathirvlos into war just so we can save a bunch of foreigners? I don't think so! Now, I'm no xenophobe, but I've gotta ask: what's in it for us? Nothing but the death of our soldiers and criticism from the rest of the region, that's what. Trouble is we're getting too much of a reputation for having a big army. So drop some of our military funding and let them fight their own wars. It's got nothing to do with us."
3. "Well, maybe this nation does have something we need, sir," says Al Clinton, your Military Advisor, while perusing a giant map of Drathirvlos. "We're fast running out of land and resources here, so why not invade this place, kick out whoever's in power there, and take over? We've got the military power, so why wait? If any of those hippies in the region have somethin' to say about it, they can say hello to our missile programmes, haha!"
4. "They have as much right to their own internal politics as we do," says activist and peacenik Peggy Nagasawa. "While their actions may be deplorable by our standards, we can't intervene unless the legitimate government requests it. 4 is meh, too Lawful to my taste, if you know what I mean.
2 is even worse, dropping military funding = no way.
3 sounds tasty, I think I'll go for it.
1 is kinda good too, but I wouldn't do it for compassion, but more for keeping my troops in shape by having the best training there could be - a real war (although small)
I just hope 3 is not too 'evil', if you know what I mean.
And btw, did he just call me 'sir' lol, there should have been an option

Keep comparing apples to oranges. (btw I doubt there is any kind of "funding" in gambling, and when I outlawed it in NS2, sorry to say it didn't decrease the Entertainment funding, so cut it).
oh yeah and you added "and arts" there just for kicks since you use one argument for 100 different subjects like you always do

And 'real' wars (not just conflicts) are resolved with a few nukes/bombings (if you consider genocide a solution of course  )
