Rascism has never been an issue in this election. If it was, Obama wouldn't have gotten far in the first place. (let alone win the bloody thing)

And Palin? I don't think she a rascist, but she DOES need to fire and sue her Communications Advisor.

What are you talking about?  Racism was a huge factor in this election.  There were probably thousands, if not millions, of people who voted for or against President Elect Obama because of his race.

Isn't that a bit Exagerated?
I mean, I find it impossible to believe that hundreds of Thousants (or more) wouldn't voted Obama for Racial Issues.

I'd say that race ultimately didn't play that big of a factor, because the people who voted against him because of race were partly canceled out by the people who voted for him because of race.

It was a chance to shatter a glass ceiling.  Naturally there were a lot of people who voted for Obama because they wanted to see an Afircan American obtain the highest office possible.  Conversely, there were a lot of people who couldn't handle such an idea and voted against Obama.

I kind of don't get what's the big deal about electing this "First black president" of USA....

I mean, if it's really THIS big a deal as the media makes it out to be, doesn't that kind of proof the USA are still FAR behind compared to europe for example? Or Africa even?

"OMG THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT!" yeah about time you grew up and got over it already...

When you live in a country with a diverse population, it tends to be a big deal.

Of course the US is behind Europe in certain respects, mainly on social issues. On the other hand, the US is ahead of Europe in other respects.

And moonlith, what's with you ranting about just about everything?
Is there anything that doesn't make you furious?
Where does all the anger come from?

That I wouldn't know, but I DO know you wouldn't find as much a big deal being made over it if it happened.

I actually like how Moonlith takes this, a bit more "serious" so to speak. Better than ignoring something just because it "might" sound ridiculous or "pointless" or anything like that, because most everyone else does it (including stupid people)?

No matter though, it's always the more serious who speak valid points get the "dude, chill out" attitude from others, and talking about who's constructive

I did a quick google search to discover that 1.8% of the population of the United Kingdom are black (approx 1 million), compared to 13.4% (approx 41million) in America, and much less in Germany and France obviously.

Also the UK elected a female Prime Minister.

I'm not english I'm not supporting them, just saying, the argument that Europe hasn't elected a black head of state doesn't really hold up.

That is a cop out. Britian has 15 ethnic minority in Parliment. And those three nations I refer too never have black or other non white in power. Throw in other countries too. What of Switzerland? Austrailia? Checkoslovakia? Russia?

Perhaps blacks feel less welcome in Britian and so have lower number whiie is seem masses of people wish to immigrate to US.

America is leading the way as it has always done while liberal elitist Europe hypocritical countries have nothing but insult for her. "Doesn't that just prove how far America is behind Europe?" Hah!!! It prove America is more advance than Europe.

Or perhaps more of their ancestors were brought over as slaves to the US than to Britain? Seriously, such intellectual dishonesty.
