As for the pay thing, I'm sorry that it came out this way that was pretty naughty of Valeriy But it really is something that's between me and him, so I hope none of you worry about it anymore. Believe me, it's not like I'm gonna retire and live large for teh rest of my life or anything lol
About William, I just dunno what to say. I stand by why I took his QP - its ridiculous that people think they can just make QP list threads for free QP's, or even update existing ones. It makes me sad to hear that William is obsessing over this so much too -obviously he hasn't changed as much as he'd led us to believe.
(point for Shadowcaster there too btw - I bought it, and he never did)
BTW MightyMouse, lol @ the sword rental Can you imagine if people could actually pay to be mods here? I bet William would have his check in the mail first hehehe I'll tell you, if that were to happen you'd better believe I would be quitting and there would be no chance that I could be talked out of it.
BTW Valeriy dear... since I have agreed to stay on at least for one more year - can we discuss the adult only forum now?

I wish I could agree with you - but I can't. I'm not messing around. I'm a tosser, I've always been one.. I try really hard to keep things straight in my forums - and whenever someone has a serious problem or needs my assistance I always cut the jokes and help them out - but I'm tired now of always playing it straight when people are utter fools.
I mean honestly - we have to have some fun somehow - it sure isn't coming from quality posts.
Its sad that all the freakshows are the ones to clone themselves and post till their fingers bleed... what we need is more Gootch clones and the like. Then HC would be back on the map baby!

Do me a favour though - don't penalize Gootch for anything he says in return to iMPACT. I know that mod favortism is bad - but I'd like to see Gootch really go off on him it'd be a nice boost to my spirit
BTW am i the only one who really misses Stiven when these morons pop up? I mean Stiven could toss the heck out of the newbies...

I hope you will at least respect that.
To stay on topic of the original contents of this thread, I have started what I plan to be a major cleaning of the Altar by editing and moving a number of the Sticky threads, and adding a Newcomers Guide to the Forum Guideline and Feedback thread.
I also reviewed some member feedback comments and applied a QP to this thread, which albeit perhaps not groundbreaking, was a nice and alternative addition to the forum, and has been subject of some work and time to put together. More to follow soon, I hope.

Nice work Alc. I remember when I was first a mod, I was really motivated like you too. I really wanted to make things better, and I'd say for a time I did. Glade became really active.
But I'm tellin ya now. The grind and the members just get to you. Give it a few months and you'll join us on the dark side.

I think what helped Glade was the fact that the majority of the threads there were at one time in the Tavern. In fact, most of HC's more popular threads once started in the Tavern. When The Glade was opened, most of the participants in threads like Let's Have War, Temple of Worship, New Shop Opening, etc. all came from the Tavern and knew that these threads weren't some D&D games that would eat their souls.
Maybe what needs to be done is we start another Tavern RP and once we reel in the members we can move it to The Glade. Eventually they'll wander around and see what else the Glade has to offer.

re the Glade, I don't think starting an RP in Tavern will change one thing. If you guys aren't posting regularly in the Glade, what makes you think anyone else wants to lol. No offense intended. But just think about why you don't post there regularly, and our reasons are probably the same.

I think you can shut the hell up, Kooka.
When I took over Glade, it was completely dead. COMPLETELY DEAD. I started LHW in Tavern, so it would get more attention and then it was later moved to Glade. It was basically the only active thread until Saga of Glade River Valley and Lords of Tanaran, which popped up about a month later.
I don't care how many threads you've read Kooka. You have no idea what went on in the past.
