In hg , is warlock pretty much screwed if you get magna dragons guarding the portal? I tried with 27sp without success on week 2 day 7.

An how much point did you spend for iresistable magic?
Was it on Expert Level?
What's more, which level was your destructive amgic and did you have empowereds and elem. seeing?

I think empowered meteor shower with slippers can do the trick. Of course you must have gotten some more spellpower to be sure.

er..if I can get level 21 , 27sp on week2 day7 , you would think I will be smart enough to have emp and expert destructive and irresistable. No, I didn't have elemental vision for 2 reasons that I didn't really like it and it never show up again after the first few levels. Fire still does half damage either way and my meteor isn't strong enough at 27 sp to take them out. I was really unlucky with sp in this game, I have 15attack and 21 knowledge and I've bought all sp arti available.
oh well , I'll try it again when I have time. This was my first try on hg with warlock anyway and I do admit I did alot of save/load to try what I can kill with the spell/sp/mana I had.
If anyone beat magma dragons or black dragons on hg portal with warlock , can you tell me roughly how much sp is needed?
I didn't find any boots until pretty late and I couldn't ship it back it time. Yes, I found it in one of the sea loot with my mule. But lets say without boots , anyone knows the sp needed using meteor for magma and firewall for blacks?

The Spellpower is only one condition in my opinion...
Skill of the player is the most powerfull, so I won't be surprised if a supreme player would tell you that only 15 spell power is needed XP
But will see...

I think we are talking about 7 stalker battle...If a 15sp warlock on the best warlock player can take out 80 magma dragons with 7 stalker then I think warlock needs some serious rebalancing.

With no slippers you can't break week 3 anyway so it doesn't matter much. Only exception that I know is when you can get the phoenixes in line for an ignited fireball first turn.
I'm a beginner on that map but I'm pretty sure that spellpower and right spells/artifacts are the way to go. Unless you use an insane phoenix with regeneration I guess but never tried it. You can be the best player and still end up unlucky and unable to break.
About the artifacts you could send the secondary to fish them from the beginning. What if you get robe of Sar Issus for instance?

Yeah , I never thought I would get arti there and my mules were all busy on the first week. I didn't hire alot of heroes , maybe I should. I actually lack gold during the first week so I'm not sure how I can afford more than 3 heroes first week. My only mule on week 1 was busy following on main to pick up stuff. My secondary hero was busy leveling up and take the other secondary town asap. After that , I sent him to clear creeps that hold key items which my main will never bother going. I did take the first 3 chests for xp thats 1+k on my main though. I find it helps alot for warlock with the early boost of level.

No you don't need more than 3 heroes. One gets 2nd town and clears main area, the other underground and follows main to north island. When you get the money you can send another to the south end of underground to the other island exit. And yes I do get some chests for xp.
Edit: That said I still am a noob there  You may want to keep an open mind.

hmm I never go to the north island with main. Does your main also take the boat and sail down all the way to the memory mentor and portal?
My main went into the room with lots of creeps instead.

Nah, the islands can be reached by taking down the horde of tier 7. They are connected with portals.

hmm there's a stack of 60+ tier 5 , 20+ tier 7 , 2 buildings(I forgot what those 2 gave , only seen them in campagin a few times) and a lvl up tree. Good xp but i'm not sure how early i can head there since there's no well , it means i have to kill all these with my mana pool.
Did you ever go back to town to learn spells before doing the utopia? Cuz I never did have the time to do that possibly due to my bad routing.

Another random question from a not so good Dungeon player. Can they get last stand. If so, wouldn't that bring back Armeggeddon hit and run. They would survive (with 1 hp) and all the dungeon player would loose is 6 stalkers...not a bad trade off if you ask me.
