Traitors and idiots are in every nation.
Most of the WW2 Poles sympathized with the Jews, though.
Unfortunately, there was a lot who hated them, too.

Just wanting to give my regards not only to the jews, but to all those nations or etnies that have suffered this kind of inhumane holocaust.
It's quite sad and irritating that the human race has such a lousy memory, the whole "The holocaust was a myth" thing just gives me the creeps. Imagine if the world would really forget that abomination? Along with all the the other genocides that happened and are still happening, like Darfur, Rwanda and the such? (Sorry if i missed one) that kind of claims is simply a spit to face of all the families that suffered and endured all those hardships, all the injustice and all the abominations that they were put through.
As the future generations we are, we have, among many other commitments, to NEVER FORGET what happend in WWII, and not only remembering it, but to NEVER ALLOW that such thing happens again.

Oh please... please keep it to yourself. Nobody is asking you to show your respect but atleast keep your thoughts to yourself atleast today. This is about commemorating the victims of the Holocaust. Hardly anything wrong with that.

This thread is about millions of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and other innocent people being slaughtered just because of who they are. Jew shooters. Thats what my nation is called sometimes. Sadly, lots of lithuanians helped eradicate our jewish population during WWII. Most of them died in IX Fort of Kaunas.
Why Hitler hated them? He was a half jew.

He was a politician, a brilliant one at that. I'm not even sure if he really hated Jews and in my opinion it's irrelevant. What does matter is that he managed to manipulate the hate of millions of people and direct it to where it served his purpose.

Well, if there were no religion from the begining it wouldnt have happened  Religion mostly causes trouble.
The event was very sad and tragic.
Im very happy that my country decided to stay neutral.
But the really lucky ones have always been the Icelanders (okey, not at the moment but other times).
They are sitting with their seals and chilling close to the north pole. The country is just to small and far away to be bothered with. No moral issues or anything.
I still cant believe Hitler actually got to power.
I have not read about it in school yet but will do in the ninth and last grade. Every year a survivor of the holocaust comes and tells the ninth graders about his experience.
I hope he doesnt die so I get to hear what he says.
Also I agree that jews have not always been innocent puppies. Its always so sad about them... and the Egypt slavery thing has already been proved to never have happened.
Also Israel is an really ass in the region, in my opinion.
But its really the UNs fault.

Without religion so much bad things wouldnt have happened! The only okey religion is buddhism, but I dont feel its an religion.
Actually, I have the book The Wave home. I think its an great book and have read it a couple of times. I might reread it, it was a while ago.

Religion does not cause problems. The same feelings that create problems in today's world are not specific to religious individuals. Religion isn't intolerant or terrible. the people who wield it as a weapon are.
Don't let this be brought up again here, if religion is to be discussed please discuss it in a separate thread.

Anytime a group of people decide that another group of people deserve to die for who they are..it is a sad day for humanity. When that group of people control a nation it is even worse. It does not matter what 'excuse' they give, because there IS no excuse.
Remember..always. Yet realise that not everybody had a hand in it. You can be bitter, you can be angry, but remember that some are innocent as well. If you must judge somebody .. judge them for their own actions, not the actions of others...

Just like angelito said. The Jews were Hitler's target not because of religion, but because of Nationality. Why to even mention religion here? Oh wait, it's because xerox does it everywhere ? Or maybe going by his logic, we should ban nationality, because without it, so many wars wouldn't happen? Let's ban everything, religion, nationality, skin color, sexual preference, so that NOBODY ever gets taunted by anything, there you go, "perfect" world. Nah, nvm.
Anyway, scrolling through documentaries about Hitler, I have found several remarks about his mother dying of cancer, him convincing her to do a radical and very painful therapy (performed by a Jewish doctor), which failed. They were very close and it's often quoted as the reason of all the Jewish hatred Hitler developed later, especially since he often mentioned that Jewish doctors "kill instead of healing"

Anyhow, about Hitler's mother dying of cancer, there are dozens of similar reasons - such like the professor who denied him the entrance to the University being Jewish etcetera etcetera. Who knows. Maybe it was all mixed together with the need to find a scapegoat for the nation and give him more political power, I don't know. The only thing we can know is that he was insane as hell.
