Religion is a major cause of wars. Plus, they may both be Muslim, but the Arab world is Sunni, and the Iranians are Shi'ite.

If someone really wants to kill you, he will. The "cause" is just a justification and it can be pretty much anything, including the shoelaces. If it wasn't religion, it would be something else. Wars started because of trivial things sometimes. Blaming religion, culture, skin color or any other feature as a "cause" is simply pointless. Blaming intolerance, fanaticism and racism is the key.

Hell no. He got a beating because he met racists.
Going by your logic, skin color is bad, because it causes intolerance. Going by my logic, intolerance is bad, because it creates injustice.
Same with religion.
Did the wars started because someone believed in something different?
Hell no. The wars started because of fanaticism. (rarely. They most likely were caused by other reasons, and religion was another justification, but whatever, let's assume religion was the "real cause" here, not money or dominance.)

You don't know a lot about the history of Israel do you?
Israel is the "Safehaven" for Jews world wide. Israel is a "independant jewish state". They've not gotten to the independant part yet (well more or less) but the "jewish" is certainly fufilled. Israel does equal jews.
And reading this thread isn't fun at all... what's with the attitude? Do you guys realize what you are talking about? Some delicacy (we've already got Bak so the rest of you go for it!)?
And I've already said it elsewhere... Lexxan you keep talking about other Genocides... well they were horrible and tragidies for sure. But nothing comes close to the Genocide. It's not about the number it's about how it was done. But let's not turn this into how Genocide X is worse than Genocide Y. All I'm saying is that if you think about it the Holocaust is the worst thing possible.

Ah yes, respect.
The problem is that the Holocaust was, in time, simply turned into a show; just like Hitler was turned into a superstar. It's no longer a historical event, it's now cheap material for pointing at in internet discussions and second-class documentaries. People remember it as distinctly "a bad thing" and "something that must never happen again", but the same bloody thing can occur right under their noses and they wouldn't even notice it if the TV told them it's not happening.
This is what happens to everything that is either too good or too bad. It's all eventually turned into a show, a grotesque, oversaturated argument in the end. It just lost the point along the way. See Jesus. People are still aware of the true nature of what happened somewhere in their minds, but they're not really giving it too much thought. It's just... around.
As time goes by, it'll just fade out from people's minds. We're becoming numb.

Amin was the African Hitler. No joke. This guy was horrible. At some parts, actually worse. At least Hitler did not ordered the doctor to mutilate the body of his ex-wife or kill his own people and sell their bodies to their families as a method of getting cash for the army. The worst part is, it happened not too long ago and world allowed it; He was like a comedian to Europe and US, but he was a nightmare to his own people.

I disagree entirely with "the worst thing possible". And I probably think 'about it' a lot more than you think I do. Turns out I also "think about" worse things.
I'd say even the nukes were worse. Compared to the Holocaust, it happened like instantly.

There were minor holocausts which were insanely more vile.
Like Vlad the Impaler's impaling spree. I'm not sure what's worse here: concentration camp with people treated like garbage, but still working, still hoping, and eventually surviving (those who weren't killed by Zyklon B, that is), or several thousand people impaled together, dying for days of slow, extremely painful death.
So when it comes to nuclear bombs: I'd rather evaporate than die on a pale for days. (People were impaled through butt and pretty much alive until the pale went through like half of their body, and with the ART of impaling, the stakes were made in a way that would prevent people from dying too fast because of shock or wouldn't slide down the stake too fast. The only positive way is that when exposed to critical pain for a long time, the body becomes numb, eventually shutting down the feelings - but I have no clue how long it takes or is it even true.)

Evaporate? lol, those were small nukes, very few 'evaporated'. Many died from shockwaves, radiation or 3rd degree burns. It's not like they dropped the Tsar bomb on the cities
