Thats only one fairy though.
The spell damage will not impact the Dendroids as much.
You wouldnt kill that many even if C Lightning popped out.

Go ahead & try yourself to beat them with 1 Fairy 7 it will be harder then you think.

Maybe I will hmm.
It's been a very long time, many yrs since i played this game.
I was looked at as being one of the most strategic players in the past when it came to battles.
Maybe I lost my touch from the yrs & rust hehe.
I may tell you if i come up with a new plan.

In a real game it would be extremly risky as you stated, you won one & lost one.
I am curious & I might give it a shot.

I actually did it easily LOL.I came up with this strategy while I was engaging battle.
I guess the many yrs got to me.
Soldiers was there also.
Fairys are more faster so you can easily lead off an attack but not imediately.Except with the Fairys on spells.
What you want to do is lead the droid columns in one pack.
Basically go to one corner & to another after.

Eventually the whole group will chase you in one side.
Thats when you hit your firewall.

4-6 hit the fire column. I moved slightle in the other side so some of the same group & other groups hit that same fire wall.
Eventually the numbers wear down as well as using the F Dragons spells.

I won without them even coming close to touching me (Even Morale would not of helped)

Pardon me for my confusion. For some reason, I thought I only had Advanced at the time. You were right.

@Aculias: Fire Wall is a better spell than Chain Lightning. At least against AI non-fliers and those not resistant to fire magic. That statement MIGHT only be true of Luna. I've never really given it a go with other heroes, though I should consider trying it. At any rate, I'm glad you tried it out and now see what the fuss is all about

Ah, I see. I just looked back and realized that confusion was also my fault. For some reason, when I posted the pic, I said fairy instead of Pixie. I'll be more careful in the future.

That's a good point though. If Luna can ever get a Fairy Dragon, I'll do so. Casting spells while waiting for them to walk through the Fire Wall has to help, right?

It's easiar to avoid them but AI is very predictable.
Especially with very slow creatures, it's easy to get them all to walk a certain way.
Therefore you can get many groups to hit a firewall in one turn.
Possibly more in the second turn.

did the cyclops decided to shoot the behemoth whereas they could probably have killed any of the rocs and then got engaged in melee and couldn't do anything?

I know how I would do this fight, but how would you do it? Adela can reach Kyrre to remove troops if needed (I handed off the dwarves and grems and split the pegs into 4 stacks). Kyrre has basic archery and basic offense and no tactics.

Would you do this with your main?

As usual im the only one to reply. I hope that works for you.

"Would you do this with your main?" Hard to answer with the info I have. Depends on many things, but with the info I have yes. Looks like a gold mine on extreme.

I would bring gremlins, 2 single cents, cents, 2 single unicorns and pegasis and hope that they shoot at the gremlins round one.

I would bring the gremlins in 3 stacks (2x1 + the rest), the dwarves, the pegasus in one stack and the unicorns splitted. The pegasus and unicorns wait and the dwarves are at bottom, they will advance towards the right stack of gogs after. I don't know in how much stacks the gogs will be splitted, hope 6 max. The gogs will certainly shoot the big gremlin stack first round but in the next rounds the single grems will divert fire also. Be careful with the pegasus though, attack only the weakest stacks. Well just a first thought from what I see.

What if Elvin was female?
posted July 08, 2008 08:10 PM

Prepare for a noob's reply.

I would give away the elves, dwarves and grems, split unicorns and make single cents to fill the rest slots. Elves because if there are seven or six stacks some would end up shooting them. Dwarves and grems because they wouldn't be of any use anyway.

I would use my main. This mainly to minimise losses and because it might actually give nice exp (750 to 1500).

I'm assuming no tent or book.

You should give this thread going guys it's a great one for learning.

If you only split the unicorns and leave single cent stacks you won't make it out of that battle alive if the gogs are 60-70+. They will split them in 6 stacks and you won't be able to cover them or take them down with your two unicorns. Plus there's not much you can count on from the hero.

In this battle you really need the smack the centaurs bring to play. Definitely no elves, and like Maretti said, bring grems and hope they'll be the target for first round. You could bring all the dwarfs just so you hopefully collapse the number of stacks you have to fight.
So 2 unicorn stacks 1 dwarf 1 grem 1 pegasi 1 fodder cent and 1 full cent stack.

Main idea is to lose no unicorns and as few cents as possible.
