Some of the effects reduce, but some remain. Any ordinary disease or plague would be gone, but this is not ordinary by any means. As everybody skates through, the portal is finally closed. Which will only slow down the horde of demons not stop them. They will find another natural portal. It does give you time, time to mount your defensive.
The boy also tries to help Star, but only helps a small ammount over what Jorn did. That is when it dawns on everybody. The disease is magical in nature, and powered by the fiend known as Pestilence. It can not be cured as long as he walks the face of the earth. In order to cure Star..he must parish, or be banished. Which means now..time is running out...fast.

Before anybody can answer the earth quakes, lightning (not called by jorn) streaks accross the sky but there is no clouds. There is a cry of agony and despair and then a thunderous but caring voice speaks. "Weep, for the first key has passed from the mortal realm. Then rejoice for the covenent shall mend all. Behold..another Key is formed, and its champion has been chosen."
Suddenly Jorn feels like something is wrenched from him. A form starts to swirl seeping like mist out of his body. You see the three elemental warriors, but they are merging together. Soon a light haired female child forms and collapses to the ground. Addressing the dark cloud that formed around Problem Child the voice speaks. "Rise champion! Be forged anew! So it is writen, so mote it be!"

The mist around the knight begins to clear as two red eyes open inside the black helmet. Slowly, the knight rises up and the dark mist that surrounded him dissappears. He looks at the child then raises his gaze to the sky and shouts:
"CHAMPION?!?! I HAVE NOT BEEN BROUGHT HERE TO PROTECT, I HAVE BEEN BROUGHT HERE TO FIGHT AND DESTROY! WHY SHOULD I CHANGE MY WAYS FOR A LITTLE GIRL??"
The voice speaks once more:
"You have been summoned here for a reason much more important than your personal pleasure. You shall be the new champion, that is your fate and it is final."
The knight raises his sword to the sky and flames burst out of it, scorching everything around him, as lets out a horrible cry. Finally, he calms down and lowers his sword. Just then Rose cautiosly approaches the knight. Her voice is uncertain as she says:
"Problem Child? I-Is that you in there? Wha.. what happened?"
The knight turns to her, it is apparent he is no longer shouting, but his voice is still booming like thunder:
"PROBLEM CHILD? I KNOW NOT WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I AM OVERLORD, THE DARK AVENGER, PUNISHER OF SOULS, THE GREATEST SWORDSMAN WHO HAVE WALKED THIS WORLD... AND I'M FORCED TO BABYSIT A CHILD..."
"But.. but... don't you remember anything? The fight with the fake Ironclad? The war with the aliens? The visit to the magic realm? Don't you remember any of this?.. Don't you remember any of us?"
"NO. NOTHING OF WHAT YOU SAID SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO ME. YOU, HOWEVER... YOUR FACE DOES SEEM STRANGELY FAMILIAR, BUT I DON'T REALLY RECOGNIZE IT, IT'S LIKE I SAW IT IN A DREAM, EVEN THOUGH IT'S IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I ONLY DREAM OF BATTLES." Overlord looks around to find a whole group of people staring at him. "I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ALL THINK I AM AND WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM ME AND I DON'T CARE. I'M HERE FOR TWO THINGS: FIGHT AND APPARENTLY PROTECT THIS LITTLE GIRL, IF THE NEED FOR ANY OF THE TWO ARISES - CALL ME, OTHERWISE LET ME BE."

The voice speaks one more time. "You will protect her, willing or no. I place a geis on you that none can break. If the child is in danger, you will be FORCED to act. As for you." the voice seems to be addressing Jorn. "Something taken, something given."
A beam of light hits Jorn blinding everybody. When it fades the voice is gone, doubtful to ever return, and Jorn is white..litterally. From head to foot, even his clothing is white. Only two pale pink eyes mar the perfection of the whiteness.

A light sound of glass tinkling is heard faintly. The wind picks up slightly and there is a hint of fresh mint in the air. A ... man appears..or at least you think it is a man. Seven foot tall, but really thin. He has sharp pointed ears, and is made of some sort of crystaline substance. A colored cloak adorns his back, and he is carrying a lute.
"Come attend me now, variely, as we sing our song so marrily. Yon fair maiden is deathly ill, and her friends stand around deathly still. No leader have they this marry band, so ere I come to lend a hand. Follow me and you will find, that I am not the misleading kind. A place I know to make your stand, as well as draw nigh the demonic band."
He pauses and looks at the group, his face an unreadable mask. "Hurry now, and terry not..there is a epic battle to be fought. Of our deeds the bards shall sing, else pain and misery shall our foe bring." he turns around and starts to part. He is still singing however...one odd bird.

Jorn turns around and looks at the stranger.
"Alright,if that's all you want.It's strange to see a true Bard these Days."
Jorn goes over to the Bard.
"what's your name Stranger?"
Jorn smiles
"Alright everyone it's time to get things rolling.I swear if this is some kind of trick.I'll have your head."
He grins and follows the Bard out the door.

Overlord looks at this strange being with a look of disgust:
"YOU? A LEADER? I DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM ANYONE, ESPECIALLY NOT... DID YOU JUST SAY EPIC BATTLE? AND MISERY AND PAIN?", Overlord's eyes shine bright red as he raises his sword and let's out a bloodthirsty cry. "FINALLY, SOMETHING TO ENJOY IN THIS WORLD! BRING ME TO THIS BATTLE, BARD!"

The absolute and utter weirdness of recent events has forced Ename to think two thoughts he has never thought before, and hoped he would never have to: What the F@%$ is going on? and Am I on drugs?
Anyway, he doesn't say anything, just follows everybody else.

Jorn looks very serious.

What makes you think that you could lead us?
You just show up with your little flute and sing a few bars and we are just subpost to follow you like mice.

I find this whole thing very offenive.
For all we know you could be Lucy in another form leading us to our grave.
The only way i will follow you.
Is if Arkangel Michal comes down from Heaven and tells me to do so.

The bard looks at you with the same emotionless face as your steed comes to you. "It was thy friend who said that not I, if we tarry here your friend will die. You have powers of truth and light, use them ere the world is covered in endless night. Three things I will tell thee for the to decide, if it is battle you wish or together we'll ride."
"Thou are a paladin but vampire like it's true, but now there is more that you can do. When taken were your storm and fire, a gift was given to sooth your ire. Winters breath is yours to command, as well as lights crushing hand."
He pauses.
"Yon maiden wanes not only because she is ill, but because her heart is broken still. Abandoned by the one she chose, she can not fight her mental foes. Slaying your foe will help her mend, but without hope she will meet her end."
Again he pauses.
"Alas it is getting too late and we have not the time, for you to listen to my rhyme."
"I know a place where you can meet these guys and stand an actual chance, trust me or not that's your call. Stay here, you die. Follow me, and you might still die, but you will have a chance. Choose."

Overlord looks at Jorn's majestic steed with disgust.
"MOUNT, YOU SAY? I'LL SHOW YOU A TRUE MOUNT. COME TO ME, BLACK DEATH!"
A grim steed, black in colour, save from his burning eyes of crimson fire, comes riding towards the Overlord. The pounding of his hooves claps like thunder. Overlord mounts his steed and together they look as dark and terrifying as death itself. Overlord raises his sword again and shouts:
"ENOUGH OF THIS USELESS CHATTER! WE'VE GOT A BATTLE TO FIGHT!"

Darkblade looks at Varjo and grins. "They need horses." she laughs. "Let us show them what a real man and woman can do."
She takes off on foot, not only easily keeping up with the summoned steeds, but surpassing them.
Rev of course is running circles around all of the group, but he is a speedster. Most of the rest fall behind until Rose gets fed up with it. "They want mounts. I'll show them what a REAL mount is." The ground heaves and part of it tears apart. The earth forms into what slightly resembles a large dragon, and carries the rest of the group on it's vast back.
The Bard smiles. "If we are all done trying to outdo each other?" and leads the way. He sets a decent pace, but not really taxing for anybody who would be on foot even.

"This feels like old times."
As he galps along riding his horse with his blade in hand.
He shouts:
"That's more like it Rose."
As he sees everyone with them.
He smiles as the wind whiping threw his long white hair.
They are all following the Bard.

The bard takes you to a secluded spot that happens to be an unused spot of a cemetary. Rose thinks. "Hollowed ground, but not blessed enough that the foes will not enter. Very clever Bard. It will indeed tip the scale..but .. we must fight them soon."
The bard nods. "Yon portal will spew them forth in the mid of night, so prepair yourself for a deadly fight. A horde will they be an their numbers swell, so heed my words and heed them well. Hold nothing back at all, or you shall surely fall." then out of rhyme he adds. "The boy can only affect the one called Lucifer, so they will probably send Death after him. Stopping Death is going to be no easy feat, but take heart. IF you can get the boy close enough and defeat Lucifer..Death will depart. The horsemen are neutral, without reason to fight they will leave."

Jorn gets down from his mount and takes a deep breath as he listens to the bard.
Jorn looks at everyone.
"Everyone prepare for battle.
Becareful it's going to get a little chilly."
Jorn smiles and holds out his hand and starts laying snow on the ground.
"That should be a little help."
he smiles
