Hehe, i builded a deck i could buy if it is worth paying for..
But it should get me some strong mothersnowers very fast..
Don't really know if it works..
3 Cabal Ritual - Pay 1b 1c, to get 3black mana. Threshold gives 5b mana
4 Culling the Weak - Pay 1b, and sac a creature to get 4b mana.
2 Songs of the Damned - Not really nescesary but can be used because it only costs 1b
4 Dark Ritual - 1b for 3b
4 Seething song - 1r 2c for 5r
4 Desperate Ritual - 1r 1c
4 Rite of Flame - 1r for 2r plus more when and more..
4 Mana Forger Cinder - Cheap cost 1 creature to block and sac to culling the weak.. And can change a red into black and vice verca.
4 Sootstoke Kindler - Can give a fast summoned power creature haste.
2 Malfegor - I just whant him in here... Not his ability, but his power and flyer.
1 Dread - I own one, so i whant to use it! It has fear and is strong.
1 Kuro Pitlord - I own one of theese too! Early cast makes him hard to keep alive, but a one time 9/9 is good anyway.
1 Knollspine Dragon - Flyer, 7/5 is what i need.. And maybe draw cards.
2 Thunderblust - 7/2 with haste and persist is okay too..
10 Mountains
10 Swamps..
If i have my oppening hand with 1 mountain, 1 swamp, 1 Mana forger cinder plus 4 of the mana adders. Then lay a land and drop the creature. Draw a card (a mana adder or a power creature), drop a land more, and then begind the prosess of dropping a huuge creature..
Best i don't start the game, cuz i could use an oppening draw card.
I can get arround 6-12 and more mana in round two. The chances of getting enough mana is bigger than the opposite.
But do ya think it's worth a try? Or does it look like a deck that would lose everything in a tournament?

I'm a fan of the latter. What's a deck without mana?

Here's what you change.
Add 4 Bogardan Hellkite, 1 Rorix Bladewing, and 3 Dragonstorm.
Now you have a dragonstorm deck.

Sith# Haha, a crappy deck.. But i think this has enough..
RedSoxFan# Oooh, dragonstorm is cool! I didn't know that card! This does simply change the deck's effect for sure!
Thanks!
Ecoris# Uhh, that is a kill with all four! But do they all four come into play at the same time?
Or do they come into play one at a time, to make two times 10 damage..
The opponent dies either one way or another..
----
4 of the stars and 4 of the bogardan hellkite should deal with the problem!!
But do you know if the deck has problems?
I can imagine that the deck has trouble getting spells before i lose.. I can miss mana adders, i can miss dragonstorm, i can be in the problem where i can't pay for the dragonstorm...
----
EDIT: Holy snow, the Kokushu, the Evening Star card are damn expensive! I think i'll go for another dragon...

Dragonstorm is probably one of the cheapest decks you can make in competitive Extended play.

got the most recent duel decks and i'm quite satisfied. nothing tournament viable (stupid banned lists) but it was a pretty good purchase for a casual player like myself. can't help getting the feeling that the white deck is far stronger after turn 5 though.

Yep, since Bantian ground troops seem to outmatch many on the ground, especially going out with some nice fatties. Sacking the Dauntless Escort for the win.

Yeah everything else than Kokusho, the Evening Star was cheap. I gave arround 65$ with shipping included and without Kokusho, the Evening Star.. (10.95$ each)

I love it. I've read Kelly Digges' article on wizards, and he was talking about cascading into things like Rafiq and Bituminous blast one creature just to Cascade a Terminate to the next! It seems like a very solid mechanic, not too overpowered, but just the right amount of flavor and power. Especially the Maelstrom Nexus!
I'm personally holding out for my first pack to contain a Sen Triplets or Double Negative (I LOVE THAT CARD!)

Erm...see as Cascade is part of the card, if its countered, nothing will happen at all. Why would it work well with Erayo? It would be slightly useless, unless you have a certain way to play it.

Cascade would help to flip Erayo.
And Erayo never counters your own spells, so I don't see how this would conflict at all.

You are mistaken. Cascade is a triggered ability that triggers when you play the spell with cascade. It doesn't matter whether that spell is countered or not; cascade will still have its effect.

Well, that is usefull to know!! That makes cascade even better...
So now you got me thinking! Is there any other card ability that still triggers even if it is countered? That would be quite good to know

Um, Cascade doesn't resolve if you counter it.
What happens is:
I play Ardent Plea.
Ardent Plea goes on the stack.
Cascade goes on the stack.
From this point onward, someone may counter either the spell or the ability.
Cascade resolves.
Cascaded spell is put on the stack.
Cascaded spell resolves.
Ardent Plea resolves.
Storm works similarly.

Quote: Cascade (When you play this spell, remove cards from the top of your library from the game until you remove a nonland card that costs less. You may play it without paying its mana cost. Put the removed cards on the bottom in a random order.)
Yes cascade is a triggered ability that happens no matter what. However to say it doesn't work with Erayo is incorrect. Since you have an option to play the last card you reveal, it still counts as a spell being played. If you choose not to play the spell from cascade, it will go on the bottom of your library.
