1 Mana cascaders could be usefull indeed!
But 1/1 persisters is stupid? Or what is the idea?
--
Personally i'd like to see a card that brings back the coin flip:
1 red, 1 black, 1 blue, 2 colourless
Instant: Flip 3 coins, you choose heads or tails before flipping them. If one of the coins fits your choice, target opponent loses 2 life. If two fits, taget opponent loses 3 life and discards 2
1 card. If all fits, target oppoents loses 5 life, discards 2 cards and sacrifices 1 nonland permanent. If none of the coins matches your choice, you lose 5 life.
Or a card that uses mill effect.
2 blue, 2 black, 2 colourless
Sorcery: Target player puts x cards from his or her library into his or her graveyard, where x is the ammount of cards in target players graveyard.
Or my favorite ability: Storm effect!
1 black, 1 red, 8 colourless
Sorcery: Sacrifice 1 creature, to deal damage equal to the scarifices creatures mana cost.
Storm.
Recovery 3 black, 3 red

Just talking about this today...
I'd like an enchantment that has a build of either:
1(w/u)WU
Whenever a creature you control comes into play, you may remove it from the game. If you do, return that creature to play under its owner's control at the end of the turn.
1(w/u)(w/u)
At the end of your turn return a creature to your hand.
Cumulative Upkeep - Remove a creature you control from the game. Return that creature to play at the end of the turn.
hmm?

Even if such a spell did nothing else than cascade, it could easily be broken.
Ancestral Vision becomes Ancestral Recall
Lotus Bloom becomes Black Lotus
Hypergenisis might even be viable.
Or you could just go with Lion's Eye Diamond or some of the vintage stuff.
It would be really interesting to find good use for such a spell. Wizards have been careful enough not to give us even a 2cc cascade spell.

Seriously undercosted at U, but I like the Idea.
Feasting Vermithid
1WBB
0/4 - Whenever a black spell you control would cause loss of life to a single opponent, you may copy it. If you do, the copy must target another target opponent and that player loses 3 life.
Eh?
Trickling Luck - 1UU
Enchantment
If a spell you control would counter another spell, you may draw X cards, where X is that spell's converted mana cost minus the spell controlled by you.

undercosted? the only thing it does is allows a creature to be removed with bounce. not only that but it gives you -1 card advantage too.
Mana Flux//1(r/g)
Instant
Target player adds (2) to their mana pool.
Green burn baby and its in color too.
Mechanic
Shallow Grave N (When this creature is put into a graveyard from play you may remove the top N cards of your library from the game. if you do you may return ~ to play)

@Gnu - Interesting concept should we ever return to Shadowmoor, which I believe we will in a few years. Aside from dominaria, have we ever returned to a plane? We've got enough of them (after Zendikar) to start revisiting the planes with some new mechanics and twists.
Malform Compact
6B - Enchantment - Aura
Enchant Creature.
You may pay 5 life rather than pay this cards mana cost.
You control enchanted creature. It gets +X/-X, where X is the life total of target opponent.
Multiversal Constant
Instant
You may play this card for 3 whenever a Planeswalker you control is dealt damage.
Put X loyalty counters on target Planeswalker and Multiversal Constant deals X damage to you, where X is the number of tapped attacking creatures target opponent controls.
Master//Commander
1RW//2UW
Target creature gains double strike and lifelink until end of turn.//Creatures you control gain first strike and vigilance until end of turn.
Whenever you play a Lord or Soldier spell, you may return Master//Commander to your hand by returning a creature you control to its owners hand.
Secrets Jettison
3 {2/U}
Choose an opponent. For every card in that players hand, you may draw a card. Then each opponent removes three cards from his hand from the game. If U was spent to play Secrets Jettison, instead, each player removes the top three cards of his or her library from the game.

Here's a question to anyone using Magic Workstation.
I've been meaning to test a deck with four Colfenor's Plans in it. My problem is that MWS doesn't appear to let me put face-down cards into play directly from the library.
How do I work around this?

I've had the same problem. You have to remove them from the game and then keep track of which ones you can play and which ones you can't play. You should try using Parallel Thoughts in MWS. I had to remove them from the game, and then roll dice to see which one I would draw.

Hmm, i don't think we will return to the lorwyn shadowmoor addons :s Now you mentioned Zendikar,! Does it become Standard allowed together with tenth edition?

Uhh, that one is genious! No other cards play with loyality counters and planeswalkers... That is a great idea.. The only card i know you can use on a planeswalker is Qlockspining..

Thing is, then my opponent will see what's removed. Unless I overlooked the "RFG face-down" feature.

@gnu - The Standard Equation.
As of Alara Reborn:
Tenth Edition, Lorwyn, Shadowmoor, Shards of Alara.
As of Magic 2010:
Lorwyn, Shadowmoor, Shards, M10
I believe Zendikar doesn't replace anyhting, but when the 2011 spring set comes, both Lorwyn and Shadowmoor rotate out.

Actually Magic 2010 won't replace 10th Edition. Zendikar will replace 10th.
Magic 2010 will be associated with the previous block. This means that for a 3 month period every summer, there will be 2 standard editions in Type 2 format.

I knew somehow that Zendikar and Lorwyn are the caps on standard, but I didn't remember how. But I knew 10th didn't and doesn't have that much longer.
Hopefully m10 will have some kickass stuff to replace the stuff from tenth that I will miss (Arcanis, )
