Dream perks up upon hearing your comment and remarks:
"Well, you guys did manage to break into a Team Bandra base, albeit one of the frontier bases, and reach the lowest level, and beat him." *pointing at Altros*
He smiles as he continues:
"I'd say you guys did pretty well, in my opinion. But, you have a long ways to go before you can match me."
He grins as he takes another free stomp at Altros' foot.

Omega:
Your shot lands squarely. A nasty, yet satisfying crunch can be heard as one of Altros' ribs breaks. Dream notices your attack (after all, he's the one holding Altros' bonds) and shoots a smirk your way, before turning his head away once again. It would seem that Dream has had his run-ins with the despotic Officer as well and could care less what happens to him.
Meanwhile...

The three battered humans and the fainted Spectral Pokémon are now receiving treatment. It is about 11PM in the Pokémon Center as Zorpaleus wakes up again ((Pokémon healing is much quicker than human healing after all  )). It startles the staff as it starts speaking. It takes the Spectral Pokémon several seconds to calm them down. Afterwards, it attempts to see how the others are doing, but is prevented from entering the rooms because of "the delicate condition of the other patients".
Meanwhile...

Dream's Salamence is now flying back towards the rest of the group. ETA ~10 minutes.

Saha’s Raichu ignored her (Mina hadn’t really expected anything else).
“Keep it up, Pidgey!” Mina encouraged. The Electric type was clawing at the stone walls determinedly prying herself out of the path of Pidgey’s wing beats. “C’mon, don’t let her out of it! Keep her pinned!”
But Whirlwinds, it transpired, were rather difficult to aim once they started.
With a shout, the little Electric type tumbled out of the grasp of the rampaging winds. And started to charge.
Mina felt the adrenaline fade away as she watched the attack build. Felt her injuries protesting the exertion of the battle—a thousand unconscious little jerks and movements irritating the wounds, no longer held at bay by stress. The right thigh of her jeans was cold from the Whirlwind cooling her seeping blood, and the abrasions on her arms—the light from Raichu’s attack was bright enough she could make out fine detail even in the dark night; it looked like she’d sandpapered them—were starting to sting.
It didn’t matter. None of it mattered. It was over—for them, at least.
Wordlessly she recalled Pidgey and Sandshrew. Maybe they’d survive this, at least. No way either of them could do anything about that…
Time seemed to stretch out more slowly than usual. The attack seemed to be taking an awful long time…Mina wondered for a moment if they had time to escape the base, but no, she realized, muzzy-headed from blood loss and exhaustion, Fate was unconscious and Zorpaleus too, no way they could get them to the elevator in time…
And she was so tired…
Then it happened. Lightning was everywhere, all around her; it was like being inside a firework when it exploded. It might have been pretty under different circumstances…
Then there was a shout, and Mina emerged from her increasingly lightheaded, bewildered state just long enough to take note of the fact that onrushing death was now bypassing death, the purple lightning diverted to either side.
Ooo, pretty…
A winged form had darted from the heavens, bearing a man wearing so much red that at first Mina wondered if he was bleeding, too.
A great explosion erupted from where the hidden door had been. The generators were gone. The lightning ceased, its progenitor unconscious.
"Get the group out of here now! After they're safely outside, get my cousin and Dove to the Pokémon Center in the nearby village."
Mina was watching this strange man bemusedly, a semi-coherent set of neurons deciding that this must be Dream as a fresh dribble of blood trickled down her arm. A song started up in her head, only to fade away almost as quickly.
He seemed to notice her. Maybe because he noticed her watching him, or maybe it was because her upper arm was almost as red as his shirt.
"Take her to the Pokémon Center as well.”
The trip out of the volcano’s top was a fascinating one, made more so by the increasing wooziness that made it hard to concentrate.
Stop that, she tried to tell herself. Focus. You need to focus. But with the immediate threats gone, there was no reason to focus, so she had very little success in that respect.
She barely registered the rumble that signified the end of the Bandra base.
((Later…))
Even after she, Fate, Dove and Zorpaleus were sent winging their way to…Mina had no idea where, and was moderately concerned that she didn’t really care, either…the lightheadedness hadn’t faded. She had enough consciousness left to wonder what the barren ground flitting by beneath her had looked like before it died off, and that was about it.
Maybe, she reflected idly, tearing that rock out was a bad idea. Maybe I should have left it in.
Maybe I should have just stayed home.
Belatedly she wondered how Dove was doing, having not heard so much as a word from the older girl since they took off. She looked to where the Elder’s daughter had been seated, trying to see if she was still up and conscious. Though it was still quite dark, it didn’t look like it.
“Dove? Dove?” Feeling tired and fuzzy-headed, Mina couldn’t muster the energy to sound quite as worried as she probably should have. “You aren’t dead, are you?” No response. “Drat.”
What felt like hours later but was probably only a few minutes, the lights of a town shone in the distance. Salamence homed in on one spot in particular, and Mina recognized the big red ‘P’ of a Pokemon center. ((Correct me if that’s not what it looks like.))
The ground was spinning as they came up on it, and not through any fault of Salamence’s. The landing was light as anyone could ask for, and Mina slid off the dragon’s back. She pushed through the front door, leaving a red handprint on the frame.
Judging by the nurse’s expression, she must have looked like quite a sight; her upper arm was almost coated in red, a few stray rivulets even going down to her wrist. The wind of their swift passage had dried some of the older blood, making it itch irritably, and the wound on her ribs had stained her faded jeans almost down to the knee.
“Nurse?”
The world seemed to be made up of camera flashes. Lots and lots of them, all squished together in faded bright colors. There was a ringing in her head, and they all started to spin…
Mina blacked out.

The strange girl walked along with the group quietly. She and her Pokémon, both quick and deft, not to mention late to the party with how long it took them to get into strategic positioning, had managed to avoid harm almost entirely, so they weren't even the least bit tired.
She picked up her Buizel and squeezed it lovingly, and it squeaked in surprise. Man, I wish someone would get you a plush toy or something to hug instead of us... he thought. Then it hugged her back. Her Sandshrew jumped up onto her and got in on the group hug, and eventually her Zigzagoon did too, climbing up her back and nosing in.
"I love you guys," she said. "I'm so glad I have you. Without you, I'm no-one. No one could identify me. You are who I am." She held them tight as she walked, then finally let go and they hopped down from her grasp and walked with her again. The Zigzagoon brushed up against her affectionately, saying it was happy they were friends, despite that it knew none of the humans could understand what it was saying. The other two smiled and chorused agreement.
She peered up into the distant sky and spotted the dragon coming back. "Looks like our ride is almost here," she pointed out cheerily.

The bigger part of the group:
The Salamence arrives once again, prompting Dream to look behind himself. He slaps his head as he realizes something:
"Doh!", cried out Dream, "I forgot Saha's Raichu!"
Dream looks at Omega and says:
"It seems you and me share a certain...love for this character. ((talking about Altros)) I need to go fetch the Raichu real quick. She should still be fainted in front of the base. Keep him from escaping please."
Dream passes on the Vine bonds to Omega as he sends out a second Pokémon from his belt.
"Go! Arcanine!"
The Arcanine roars as it comes out of its Poké Ball. Dream hops onto it and tells it to run as fast as possible to the base entrance.
Meanwhile, the Salamence takes the rest of the group ((leaving Omega and Altros alone in the wilderness, for a bit. )) to the unnamed village.

Omega:
Left alone with Altros as you have been, you let your Pokémon out to stretch and help you guard the prisoner. Your Zigzagoon starts sniffing around and starts poking at the ground. As you move closer, you notice that Zero is holding a strange rock. You take it.
You have received a Moon Stone!
You place it in your Bag.
A few more minutes pass by, as Altros throws random taunts and insults your way. Afterwards, you see the blazingly fast Arcanine come back into view. You see that Dream has recovered Saha's Raichu. He pulls over next to you and Altros and says:
"Thank you very much. I'll be taking him now."
He takes the Vine bonds from your hands as he recalls Arcanine. Almost on cue, you see the Salamence returning once again, to pick up the last four of you.
Altros makes a feeble attempt to escape, as a swift, well placed kick by Dream breaks one of his legs. ((tough love, ain't it?  ))
The villianous Officer cries out pitifully as Dream retorts:
"Should've stayed put. Now, get on the Salamence!"
A few minutes before...

The rest of the group:
The Salamence leaves you all in front of the Pokémon Center. Attempts to see Dove, Fate and Mina are thwarted by the nurses. You all get to heal your Pokémon. You see a revived Zorpaleus standing against one of the walls. He remains silent as he leaves, apparently satisfied that others will be able to look after the injured party members.
Several hours pass...

Mina:
It is 3AM.
You wake up, in a bed located in the back rooms of the Pokémon Center, noticing that your wounds have been covered up and that you have an IV drip as well. A nurse walks in:
"Hi there! Feeling better?"
As you make to answer the question, she checks your vital signs and says:
"You'll be fine. Your friends are in worse shape, especially the young man."
She tries to cheer you up by asking:
"Will you be participating in the Battle Festival we're having? It starts in a few hours."
Your look of confusion prompts her to explain:
"You're not from the region, are you? Well...the Battle Festival is a three day event where Trainers from many parts of the region come together to participate in tournaments, breed Pokémon, trade Pokémon, and basically have fun. This year, a region renowned Pokémon Breeder will be giving some seminars on the basics of breeding. Of course, the crowning achievement of the Festival is the Rental Tournament. In that Tournament, you have to choose 3 Pokémon out of a large amount that the tournament organizers will be providing, and use them to win your way through the contest. It's a test of knowledge and skill, using Pokémon you may or may not have seen before."
She makes to leave the room as she concludes:
"But, I'll let you rest for now."
Meanwhile...

The rest of the group: ((now including Dream, Omega, the Raichu, and Altros))
Dream takes the Raichu into the Pokémon Center. The nurse looks her over and asks:
"What happened to it?"
Dream replies:
"It's been corrupted by Shadow Energy. You might want to call the Pokémon Centers in Orre to see if they have a spare Purification Machine somewhere."
The nurse makes to call as he tells the group:
"I have to go now. Going to take this fool ((talking about Altros again)) to where he belongs...or rather, to where most people think he belongs. I'd rather see him six feet under."
Dream then looks back at the group and winks, as he remarks, naughtily:
"Try not to get beat up while I'm gone."
He then leaves the Raichu inside the Pokémon Center as he calls out Salamence once again to take him and Altros...somewhere.
((I won't be able to update until Wednesday...so, have fun for now!  ))

To send off Altros garciously, I extend my middle finger and wave it around for the world to see. "Hey Dingus! Next time you come looking for a fight, be man enough to fight yourself, you punk a..." I trail off with a string of profanity.
"So now what's the plan?" I ask the group impatiently. Zero, Baskerville, Magoo run around my legs, in an unusual game of tag. I'd keep them in their pokeballs, but I think some fresh air outside of battle could do them some good.

Even though he may deserve it, the actions towards this Altros guy displease me. I decide to leave the group, which contains the ones doing such things, behind for a while. I leave the Center, and wander around the village, heading in random directions, as allowed.

Uhhgh.
Blurry red numbers on the far wall faded into view.
Three AM? Why am I awake at three AM? And where am I? This isn’t…
Mina tried to sit up, only to find herself hindered by the gauzy white bandages around her ribs and left arm.
And that was when she remembered passing out.
Oh, Pokemon Center. Right.
A snaky plastic tube ran from her right arm to a clear IV bag next to her bed. Something had been applied to the sandpaper-esque scrapings up and down her arms, as they no longer stung and the skin looked faintly green. Her vest and shoes seemed to be MIA until a moment’s searching located them; the former had been left crumpled on a nearby stand, along with her pack, and the latter were set neatly on the floor next to the bed. The rest of her outfit was still on her person; Pokemon Centers, she thought dimly, being primarily for Pokemon, didn’t have those papery hospital gowns. The bloodstains on her shirt and jeans had dried to a rusty color and were stiff as a result—though it seemed someone had tried to clean them off a bit; the centers of the stains were lighter than the edges.
The door opened with the faint sound of a turning handle and one of the millions of Nurse Joys that seemed to populate the planet walked in.
"Hi there! Feeling better?"
Mina opened her mouth to say no, but reconsidered when she realized that she did, in fact. She wondered how much of her passing out was due to blood loss and how much was just exhaustion, sparing a thought to wonder if the others had gotten any sleep while Nurse Joy ploughed merrily on.
"You'll be fine. Your friends are in worse shape, especially the young man."
Mina flinched at this news. The nurse noticed, and must have decided that diversionary tactics were in order as she continued hastily:
"Will you be participating in the Battle Festival we're having? It starts in a few hours."
Mina’s response was to stare blankly.
"You're not from the region, are you?” Mina shook her head, seeing no harm in answering the question. “Well...the Battle Festival is a three day event where Trainers from many parts of the region come together to participate in tournaments, breed Pokémon, trade Pokémon, and basically have fun. Pokemon Breeder? PICHU! Mina felt a sudden flood of worry. She’s going to be starved!
Nurse Joy went on blithely. “Of course, the crowning achievement of the Festival is the Rental Tournament. It's a test of knowledge and skill, using Pokémon you may or may not have seen before. But, I'll let you rest for now."
Mina shoved thoughts of the Tournament determinably onto the back burner, hooking her pack off of its resting place the moment the door closed behind Nurse Joy. To her immense joy, not only was the Pokemon food present (someone had thrown out the last of the shredded Bandra uniforms, as well as Pichu’s eggshell except for a broken fragment she discovered wedged against the pack wall), but her belt and Pokeballs as well.
She released the three of them from their balls after listening for a moment to ensure no one was in hearing range, not really wanting to risk a lecture. The three of them seemed very concerned, Pichu and Pidgey especially (Sandshrew was comparatively stoic, and Mina got the impression that very little rattled the yellow Ground type), and she reflected ironically that although they’d done the actual fighting, she’d been the one to end up in the hospital. Mina reassured the three of them briefly as she tore open packets of Pokefood.
Pidgey and Sandshrew got dry pellets out of foil bags that tore on one side to make an impromptu bowl. Pichu’s was wet and mushy and came out of a can; some thoughtful soul had realized not all trainers brought can openers with them on the open road and designed plastic lids for use and re-use after the can was opened. Unfortunately Mina had neglected to bring a spoon, but Pichu didn’t seem to mind; being perfectly content to slurp the food off Mina’s fingers, cradled in her trainer’s arm.
Pichu wandered around the room after finishing, exploring all the new sights and smells her baby senses had never witnessed before. Pidgey and Sandshrew looked tired, however, not having the hatchling’s boundless energy, so Mina returned them before disposing of the garbage.
Feeling a bit nervous with her little one poking her nose into things, Mina slid out of the hospital bed. There was a wave of dizziness, but it passed; Pichu noticed her trainer standing and bounded over to the door, to look questioningly back at her.
“Okay, we can leave if you want,” Mina told her, steadying herself. She debated taking her pack with her and decided to come back for it later; she doubted she’d be up for long in any case. “Just for a bit though.”
So the pair crept out of the hospital room, Mina dragging the IV stand along behind her like an errant child, paws and sock-clad feet padding on the tile flooring.
“I wonder if the others got here yet?” she mused aloud.
((Whee, not twenty-four hours in the region and I’m already in the hospital! XD
Also, you might not see me much/at all tomorrow; I have a presentation and a proposal due Thursday.  ))

Once hearing the news of the Festival Misty decides she deffinately will be staying. She plans on listening to the Breeding seminar, and participating in the Rental Challenge, but wonders if the the breeding seminar will also contain tips on fixing food. Just in case she asks the locals if there will be any pokefood seminars. Then she explores the town throughly, just to pass some time.

Omega and Draloed send off Altros graciously. The Skorupi's pinch and Omega's words send Altros into a rage, which is prematurely ended by a nice, clean punch to the temple by Dream.
Dream puts the unconscious Altros on his Salamence as he gets on himself. He waves the group goodbye as the Salamence takes off.

You head away from the rest of the group. Moving to the south, you notice a series of tents. As you move closer to investigate, a man in a suit calls out to you:
"Hey! Come here one second!"

Mina:
((Now you can say you visited a hospital in the Helnith region ))
As you creep out of the hospital room, you notice the group ((except Misty and Stacey, who are out exploring and Draloed, who is about to go to sleep.)). Almost as soon, the nurse notices you, saying:
"You shouldn't leave the room in your state. You need to rest."

Misty:
You leave the Pokémon Center and head in the direction of the nearest local. At 3AM, it is surprising that anybody is outside at all. She looks at you as you approach and ask her about the seminar. She answers:
"Well, I think the Breeder is going to talk about the creation of Poké food for usage in breeding. Supposedly, there's a Pokémon that requires specific Pokéfood to evolve. Maybe he'll tell you about it. Rumors are that he's giving away one of the critters to the person he most believes deserves it."

Draloed:
((All nurses are Nurse Joys. Don't ask why...it's one of Pokémon's mysteries  ))
She answers:
"Well, follow the path out of the Pokémon Center to the cozy inn we have in this village ((house numbered 1 on the map))."
You thank her and make to leave the Pokémon Center.
You walk the beaten path for about 2 minutes, noticing the Battle Festival tents to your left. You enter the inn.
It is a small establishment, with two floors, and several beds on each floor. The innkeeper greets you and shows you to your room ((which is free, since you're part of the group that's supposed to save the region. Gotta love the perks! )).

Mina found to her discouragement that she tired a lot faster than she would have liked. She had just gone down a hall or two and peeked into the main lounge (and waved to the group members still present), but she felt like she’d gone much further.
Just as she was deciding that Pidgey and Sandshrew had had the right idea, a Nurse tapped her on the shoulder.
"You shouldn't leave the room in your state. You need to rest."
Mina made a vague sound of agreement and glanced down at the little bundle of fur scanning the room with a disappointed expression.
“C’mon Pichu. Misty’s not here, so you wouldn’t be able to play with Evan anyway, and I don’t think anyone else here is your age.”
Pichu chu’d unhappily and scampered after her back to the room.
((On the Nurse Joys: Inbreeding. And probably dominant genes. I read a site on rats that talked about it. I’d try and hunt it down but I have a presentation to finish; maybe afterwards.))

He continues:
"The reigning champion, Jerry ((bet you caught the cheesy cartoon reference )), is a cheat. He bends the rental-only rule with help from one of the other Breeders. The three Pokémon he will use are..."
He lists them as you wonder why he's helping you. He doesn't even know if you'll participate or not. Maybe he doesn't care...

He gives you a good look and says:
"You wonder why I'm telling you all this, right? Well, news travels quickly in this part of the region. I know your group saved us from the Team Bandra base in the area. Not to mention, I think Jerry is a...[starts spewing expletives] and I believe that someone from your group will be able to take him down."
He looks around the tents and says:
"I'll help you out a bit. Come inside for a second."
He takes you inside the red tent and resumes:
"There are many Rental Pokemon available. I can reserve one for you if you want. The tournament starts in about *looks at his watch* eight hours, so you get an eight hour head start to pick your first Pokémon."

I take a few seconds to consider. A pokemon enters my thoughts, and it's one I wouldn't mind. May not be the best, but one I like.
"How about Magnemite or Magneton!?"

Tom leads you to one of the tables. Many Poké Balls are ordered about. He takes two of them and shows them to you:

At first, I was still unclear on what I was making this choice for. I knew it was a tournament, from what was said, but nothing further. That hardly mattered, for the moment, however. I would probably have wanted to join if I knew everything that was going on, so I just went with it.
"I'd like to choose that one"
I point at the staller one.

((Cool! Now I can fast-forward to 10PM!  ))
Tom looks at you satisfied as he says:
"The tactical choice. Hmm...I'm sure you can make it work."
He grins as he marks the Poké Ball in a unnoticeable way. He then shows you the mark and says:
"I'll make sure this Poké Ball is near one of the corners of the tables when this tournament starts. You just find it and then you pick two more. I apologize for not being to help you further, but something's better than nothing, right?"
He smiles as he sends you off. Before you leave the tent, he adds:
"Be sure to tell your friends about what has transpired here. But, make sure no one outside of the group finds out."
You reach the inn as the rest of the group does.

((Fast-FORWARD!!! ))
The group ((except Mina, Dove, Zorpaleus and Fate of course)) is now at the inn ((the building numbered 1 on the map)), well rested after 7 good hours of sleep. A clock on one of the inn's wall shows the group that it is 10AM.
The tournament will start in one hour ((which gives you all time to explore, and for Misty to try and find the Pokémon Breeder...even though he'll be in town for the duration of the Festival)).

Mina:
You wake up to the scene of a Nurse Joy checking your vitals.
"Very good." she says.
She smiles as she continues:
"Except for that one nasty injury near your ribs, you're okay. I think we can send you off now. Just make sure you don't overexert yourself for a while. I'd recommend rest, but I'm sure the rest of your group is going to participate in the Rental Tournament. I wouldn't want you to be left out."
She winks as she takes out the IV needle (*shivers*) and makes to leave, saying:
"After all, I'm rooting for you!"
((Now, you all get to explore some more. Do so! Last update for today! Take care guys! *waves*))
