Stacey (and puppets):

Tom's Pokemon charge the Grunts. Taken by surprise and with their Pokemon otherwise occupied they go down fairly easily, although one Grunt manages a loud cry of "Help!"

This leaves their Pokemon largely without direction, which could turn out good or bad...

Twiggin SE 2 uses Quick Attack!
Shadow Poochyena is hit for 7 damage!

Raticate uses Quick Attack!
Shadow Cubone is hit for 12 damage!
Shadow Cubone faints!

Wispaferyn SE 1 uses Helix Flame! ((Roll = 63))((Roll = 54))
Carvanha is hit for 19 damage!
It's not very effective...
Wispaferyn SE 1 takes 6 damage from Carvanha's Rough Skin!

The other Twiggin seems lost without its trainer and just freezes up in the midst of battle.

Wispaferyn SE 2 uses Silver Wind! ((Roll = 49))
Carvanha is hit for 187 damage!
It's super effective!
Tanga Berry halves the damage! ((Yes, HALF damage was 187. ))
Carvanha faints!

Sandshrew S1 uses Sand Attack!
Accuracy of all allied Pokemon falls!
Accuracy of all Shadow Pokemon falls!

Arkhiti uses Ancientpower! ((Roll = 6 – hit!)) ((Roll = 15))
Shadow Poochyena is hit for 23 damage!
Shadow Poochyena faints!

Graveler S 1 uses Earthquake!
((Roll = 14 – hit!))
Twiggin SE 2 is hit for 16 damage!
It's not very effective...
Houndour is hit for 133 damage!
It's super effective!
Houndour faints!
((Roll = 22))
Sandshrew S 2 is hit for 26 damage!
((Not even rolling for Shadow Houndour! It faints.)) The attack also rips into several of the unconscious Shadow Pokemon ((Cubone, Poochyena)).

Snorlax uses Body Slam!
Attack missed due to target KO!

Sandshrew S 2 is loafing around!

One of the Bandra Sandshrew just sits in place, eyeing its trainer—waiting patiently for instructions that don't come.

Sandshrew S 3 uses Fury Cutter! ((Roll = 67))
Snorlax is hit for 4 damage!

((Obedience Roll = 12))
Stacey's Shadowed Sandshrew stares at his former trainer for a moment as though lost in thought, then unwraps himself and toddles away toward the fight. He looks around uncertainly for a moment and begins shaking from side to side. ((Target already KO'd.))

The Sandstorm rages.
The allied Pokemon are buffeted by the Sandstorm!
Raticate loses 3 HP!
Snorlax loses 7 HP!
Absol loses 3 HP!
The Bandra Pokemon are buffeted by the Sandstorm!
Wispaferyn SE 1 loses 6 HP!
Wispaferyn SE 2 loses 6 HP!
Twiggin SE 1 loses 6 HP!
Twiggin SE 2 loses 6 HP!

Snorlax regains 7 HP due to held Leftovers!

Shadow Sandshrew’s Shadow Gauge fell 2%!

((Stacey is now free to run to the Center BTW. You'll have to carry your Sandshrew if you want to take him with however, since you don't have his ball any more.))

((Sandstorm rounds remaining: 2))

Misty:

The girl with the Chansey considers the question while you assist in moving a heavy bucket that smells of wood cleaner up the stairs. "Was the boy with the sketchbook one of your friends? Mark? He was here yesterday drawing. Wait—no, he said he was here on vacation, so I guess he couldn't have been." She looks thoughtful while handing up a mop to the cleaning lady. "Have you checked the Gym? Maybe Pellana's seen them."

Mark/ Lisa

During the next three rounds Mark gives his pokemon their commands. Skarmory uses agility three times (max speed!), Ralts uses double team twice and lucky chant once (in that order), and Lapras and Ariados both wait for anything to get close.

Lisa has Slugma use harden three times and Spheal uses defense curl three times.

Tom

The trainers were down, that was good enough for him! Recalling his down pokemon and having Absol run next to him, Tom hightails it back to the PC as fast as his legs can carry him. Hopefully his buddies have finished capturing the place, otherwise...

Stacey recalls Snorlax and Raticate. She picks Mona up, and slowly walks over to her Sandshrew.

"Okay. We need to get over to the center. Maybe they can help you out."

She attempts to pick up Sandshrew as well. Should that attempt succeed, she limps over to the center.

Ivan goes to the center at a slightly more hurried pace.

Stacey (and Tom, Ivan):

The three of you cut across town, dodging fires and Shadow Pokemon by skirting the pond. Behind you come the outraged and slightly confused voices of more Bandra, but ahead is the glowing beacon of the Pokemon Center...and joy of joys, you see Mark and Brona and Puppetman inside! Your allies have taken the Center!

((You arrive at the end of Round 2, so you have one round to prepare.))

Misty:

You head over to the Gym again; a few trainers are sparring off to the side, but otherwise it is in much the same as on your previous visits. Down to and including the booming voice that greets you:

"Who comes into this Gym at such a time?"

It's Pellana; she seems in much better spirits than on previous occasions. In a normal voice she continues, "Oh, it's you again. Come back for a rematch?" She takes a Pokeball off her belt in anticipation.

Seeing that friends have taken the center, Ivan and Stacey head in. They see that pokemon are being healed currently. That, and preparations are being made.

Stacey checks to see if she could get Mona and Luxio healed up. Ivan looks to get Spearow healed too.

Stacey calls out Snorlax and Raticate, calling for a curse and a focus of energy. Ivan does similar, having his pokemon harden.

(If a potion can be applied to Arkhiti as well, that would be nice. Even if Stacey has to offer one over to Ivan)

You also want to watch your type match-ups more closely; a fast Pokemon might get in an attack before it gets hit, but slower Pokemon need to survive first or they never get a chance to act at all."

Misty:

Pellana grins at you. "I know exactly what group of people you mean, and I'd be happy to help you out. Luckily it's not hard to find Pokemon faster than Geodude: you can find Bellsprout just outside town here, usually during the day. Or if you're willing to go a little further out, I know there are Krabby and Wingull along the coast. Those are the most common."

----------------

Christian:

You stop by the Pokemart and look around inside.

((Potion – 300 PD
Antidote – 100 PD
Paralyze Heal - 200 PD
Repel – 350 PD
Pokeball - 200 PD
Rope - 550 PD))

While there, you overhear one of your Grunts complaining that there aren't any Pokeball upgrades for sale, to which the store clerk helpfully informs him that the shop on the hill might have something more to his liking.

Once you've completed your business there, you head over to the Pokemon Center. The interior is unremarkable save for a large table fountain on one wall and an unusually high number of potted plants. The familiar face of Nurse Joy greets you from behind the front desk.

"Can I help you?"

----------------

Mina:

"Does anyone have pokemon knowing the moves spikes, stealth rock or toxic spikes?"

"Not here!" Mina responded. Sparky just shook his head 'no.'

Mina followed the other's example, having her Sandshrew use Defense Curl as much as possible and directing Oodramer to use Veneer once he was conscious again. She replaced the Oran Berry Pidgey had used in the previous fight, and fed him a few to restore his energy. Her Electric type she instructed to use Double Team until it looked like the floor was covered in Pikachu look-alikes—Mina hoped that would be enough protection against the multitude of Ground types that were no doubt still to come.

She also called out Houndoom now that they were away from the Stealth Rocks; they still might end up in them but now was not the time to hold back, especially seeing as they were IN the Pokemon Center if he got injured. She was at a bit of a loss as to how to give him a boost until she hit on the idea of having Natu help out—but that would require Houndoom to use the attack first.

Hmm...

She urged her dog over to a broken window while Sparky watched with bemusement.

"Okay Houndoom, I want you to use Ember out the window—but be careful not to hit the building."  Houndoom yelped an affirmative (sneezing on the remnants of poison gas in the air in the process), but he looked more than a little confused. "Natu, when he does that, use Me First on him, okay?" The green Psychic type perked up in a sort of non-verbal 'Oh!' of understanding and bobbed on his feet. He chattered something in Poke-speak to Houndoom and the Dark dog perked up as well, tail wagging.

Mina mentally reviewed her Pokemon's attacks—there was precious little else in the way of boosts she could use at the moment. Finally she settled on having Natu use Miracle Eye; most likely it would be useless given that he didn't know any Psychic attacks, but it probably wouldn't hurt.

((You lot have until tonight to finish picking out what Pokemon will be healed and which ones will have to wait until the fight is over. Any slots not claimed will go unused. And don't forget about your allies. I'm updating the list in the OoC thread so make sure you tell me if anything is wrong.))

You travel to the coast; it's about 6:30 PM on your arrival, and nearly – though not quite – high tide.

You search for nearly an hour before finding your quarry, the growing darkness and high water level making your search more difficult—most of the Pokemon see you long before you see them and avoid you. But one of the little red crab Pokemon is too distracted munching on the tattered remains of what looks like it had been a Goldeen at some point and ignores you.

Christian looked over the inventory while listening to any conversation that might be going on in the mart. "Nothing really special in this pokémart..." Having heard nothing of interest except for the clerk mentioning "the shop up the hill", Christian decided that he might as well could seriously consider buying something. Opening his bag to take a serious look at what he had, Christian was surprised to find a silk scarf, a hard stone and not one, but TWO rare candies! He had plenty of pokéballs and potions though. But he had no ropes... "Why not?" he wondered, "Ropes are always handy!"
Christian grabbed an escape rope and went up to the clerk and said "One of these, thank you!"

Outside of the pokémart, Christian called upon Vigoroth and Geodude. "Here Geodude, eat these!" Christian said and handed it the two rare candies. While Geodude was busy eating, Christian turned to Vigoroth. Holding up the silk scarf Christian looked his vigoroth in the eyes and said "See this scarf? It would make you stronger! So would you mind holding still while I put this on you?"
Vigoroth took a few moments, first looking at Christian, then looking at the scarf, and then looking back at Christian before nodding.
After having carefully bound the scarf around the neck of Vigoroth, Christian turned to Geodude with the hard rock. He stood there for a while, looking at the geodude from different angles. Geodude looked at his master as he studied him, obviously getting more and more nervous as his master kept walking around him, studying him. Finally the little rock ball got too nervous and came with an outburst "GEO-GEODUDE-GEO! DUDE?"*
This outburst caused a laugh from Christian. "Sorry, sorry, I did not mean to scare you. It's just that I got this rock here will make you more powerful, but I do not know how to put it on you without having to occupy one of you precious hands!"
Geodude sighed with a relif before shouting "Geodude~? GEO-DUDE-DUDE!"** and grabbing the rock and planting it firmly on top of its head. "Geo!"***
Christian laughed a bit more. "Thanks for the help and understanding guys! Now back to your pokéballs!" Christian recalled the two before going to the pokémon centre.

*"WHAT IS THE MATTER MASTER?! WAS THE FOOD BAD?
**"Ohh, so that's the problem? HERE GIVE ME!"
***"Like so!"

((I'll leave it at that for now. After I come back from my trip I will make some kind of respond to the pokécentre))

Mark, Brona, anyone looking outside during the previous three rounds:

At first the exterior is as calm as can be expected. The occasional Shadow Pokemon appears, only to vanish just as quickly—but soon they are followed by Bandra Grunts. The latter keep their distance, surrounding the Center but staying out of attack range. Then there are noises outside—several rapidly moving forms spin across the ground outside, and the Stealth Rocks and other signs of battle are swept away, leaving the area outside the Center clear.

----------------

Everyone in Keida:

Everyone not watching the exterior gets the idea that something is wrong when a howling wind slams into the Center with enough force to rattle the doors. Ice frosts over the glass remaining in the windows and cold air floods the lobby—you can see your breath clouding just before the lights flicker out and Dien curses.

((Atmospheric music.))

"They've taken out the power!" The Starlight Squad lieutenant pushes his way out of the back rooms and to the door, scowling sourly in the dark. "What's happening out there?"

The wash of cold, dense air has pushed Magby's smoke away—a mixed blessing, as the flickering flames outside are now your only light. The entire group can make out more Bandra Grunts surrounding the Pokemon Center, another Taskmaster—and one other figure that makes several of the Starlight Squad go pale.

Sparky nearly chokes. "H-Hannah! She's not supposed to be here!"

Hannah is tall, slim, with long hair trailing down past her waist. Unsurprisingly she wears an Officer uniform, but there's a veil over her eyes—either white or some light color (it's impossible to tell in the uncertain light) with black, eye-shaped patches over where her real eyes are, and her shirt is knotted up in front to reveal taunt stomach muscles. While the Starlight Squad members are busy sputtering over her unexpected presence here ((you'll recall this entire mission was planned on the basis the SLS thought she had left)) she calls:

"This is the end for you, Starlight Squad!"

The expression below the veil is too cultured to be a sneer, but the sentiment is clear enough. Ringing the Center with her is the third Taskmaster and a number of Grunts besides. To make matters worse, curled around her protectively is a Milotic that glows with health and good grooming—more or less literally, the flickering firelight catching its scales with tiny rainbows of light making it seem brighter and more eye-catching than the Grunt Pokemon flanking it in spite of the faintly visible signs of char on its body. ((Burned))

Dien seems to be having trouble finding his tongue. "You—why are you—"

"Surprised to see me? You shouldn't be." Every move seems to be a pose, and every word is recited as though she were an actor on stage—not a second's hesitation or misplaced syllable. "Twits. Did you really think we would leave our plans spelled out for you over-trusting, bleeding hearts to find? But I must admit, I am shocked you dimwits had them for three days and never figured out they were coded."

"You can't know that!" One of the other Squad members exclaims as the implications of this sink in.

"Please, do you really think it was hard for us to slip an agent past that old fool you follow? You are naive," Hannah practically coos. "And thinking we would leave such a valuable base of operations undefended, too. How trusting of you."

Even in the fire light it's obvious Dien has gone very, very pale, his expression horrified. His voice sounds choked as he says, "No one would betray Elren!"

"Oh?" Hannah replies, gaze traveling down the line of faces arrayed before her. Her expression is sly. "I wouldn't be so sure of that if I were you."

Bandra Officer Hannah sends out Milotic!

The Taskmaster sends out a Togetic alongside the serpentine Water type. Several of the Grunts move to follow suit with their Pokemon, but Hannah gestures for them to hold back with one expertly-manicured hand.
