Just about 1 hour ago I was accused of thievery, because I wanted to publish 0.1 version of Abyss, Axolotl said he will not forbid this. Altrough they said it's a thievery, "I didn't do anything", "I must draw all content by myself etc".
And it's in light of fact, that Abyss itself is an aggregation of ripped units and graphics. I don't think Axolotl got permission to use it in his mod.
So there will be no Abyss from me, polish modders on Acid Cave will release it from available resources by themselves.

I created a topic about it: I don't have time for continuous support of this town. There are some not finished things:
1) creatures stats are unbalanced (I tried to give some medium values, but didn't yet tested them). I don't have any information of cost of buildings and abilities of creatures either, so I inputed them myself.
2) there some graphic issues because of anavailable graphic from Axolotl. Icons, Town on map and dwellings didn't have official graphics, I just prepared them unprofessionally from gifs and screenshots.
And creature icons don't have town background for example.
3) I only made two heroes (one of each class) to have at least them. So there will be work to add other heroes.
So I made an post that I search for someone, who wants to finish this mod and than maintain it and upgrade.
Than I was accused on pack of crimes, sins, etc like I do mods fast and bad (altrough I didn't released any mod yet).
PS I have personal interest - will someone correct issues for me and than share them?

Don't think that release is possible for 100%. It's already about 2 years, and Axolotl didn't seem to make something.
Altrough he stated that he will release town for ERA. So I don't think in near future there will be official release for VCMI
PS And there are no sounds of monsters. But I play with turned off dynamics, so forgot about it

I think is mostly about you than else, they don't want YOU to touch HoTA resources 
I released era mod with HoTA objects extracted and I wasn't accused of thievery, nobody said anything. But if I am asked to remove it, I will do it without bragging.

That's because you are not registered on DF2 and didn't ask for permission
PS Yes I think it's about my person at first. But Abyss is not even a HOTA resource, but they are "worried" about it.

Abyss (or Waterdeep) is Axolotl`s own project and only he himself (and not HotA team) can decide what to do with it.

Why at all do same work twice (compile town)....

....That on the premise that the release was supposed to be last june. So like every reasonable man I thought how much can a translation take? (I'm quite aware of all the technical difficulties).
While having in mind that Cove is by far the best town out there, (good job HotA team) my personal view upon this is that simply there is no will to do an English translation. On top of this the team instead of communicating this loud and clear... and I will stop here with my comments.
On the other hand VCMI closes to completion so I will be able to try Cove there, not a biggie.
