Yeah, it went pretty well. Good luck with getting your job.

That sounds a lot like some American kids. But some of them don't even show up for school.

It's not as great as you think it is.
And my high school life is better than that of most people (in a way), at least IMO.

Out of curiosity (haven't read this thread a lot, sorry.) How is yours better? (except that your town isn't in the ghetto or that you ctually got an education)

Me, actually getting an education at Noplace High School? loooool
No, I think I have a better high school life than a lot of the people who are going to my high school. I don't need drugs or alcohol to have fun, and my friends and I enjoy intellectually stimulating discussion and amusing humor, instead of idle gossip and tales of drunk parties.

Degree is still a degree
even at Noplace, since there must be a curriculum.

wow, the American system sounds irritating.
I didn't care about anything in 8th grade. In fact I was in the B class for Maths in 8th grade
I would hate to have a score from that long ago come and haunt me

You might have mentioned but I didn't see - where do you want to go to college?

I start university this year but I will still be living at home.

I got my results in december and that got me into my first preference of a Bachelor of Science. I have no idea what I want to major in.

I only needed a score of 85.00, which is an indication of the percentage of the state which you scored higher than, going up in ranks of 0.05, making 99.95 the highest possible score, hence I only needed to be in the top 15% of the state.

Neither did I. Eighth grade was easily my least favorite year of all 11 (11, not 12, since I skipped 2nd grade).

My first two choices are Harvard and the University of Chicago.

Oh, and back when I wanted to major in Political Science, I noticed that one college had a B.S. and a B.A. in Political Science. What could be the difference?

Normally, when a school has both a BS and a BA in the same subject, the BS is considered the higher degree.

@Mvass: They wanted to skip me a grade back in elementary school...but my parents declined.

In hindsight, best thing that happened to me.
But, you came out all right.

I'm sure they'll take you in at Harvard.

Skipping a grade was one of the best things that ever happened to me. The grade below me is mostly full of losers. I don't think I would've gotten along so well with them.

The school system in the US is a bit confusing.

In Sweden its like this.

First, you get to nursert when you are 3 to 6 years old. Then you start in kindergarten which is like a prequel to school (its located inside the school too).

Then 1th to 9th grade begins. It splitted into three areas.

Grade 1-3: Lower School
Grade 3-6: Middle School
Grade 6-9: Upper School

Im in the 7th grade. You get marks at the 8th and 9th grade, so it will be this autumn for me.

After that, you choose an orientation and go to high school for 1-3 years and can proceed to go to the University for lots of years if you want too.

And school in US seems so overrated. But then again I have just watched movies about it -.-

But in Sweden there is "Dagis" and "Lekis".

There is two kinds of kindergarten so I separated it into Nursery and Kindergarten. There is one that has nothing to do with school between 3-6 years old.
Many children also have childminders instead. My childminder was my grandma (she is like 67 years old or something now >.> my mother is 36).

And the second kindergarten is in school but you dont work, its more like an introduction year and you just play all the time.

We got 10 years in school too, but as I said one year is like an introduction.
And I should have said that you are in kindergarten/nursery 3-5 because the introduction kindergarten begins at 6 years old.
