I saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 the other night. It was good. Not really much more to say about it.

i watched "ender's game". it was good, just as good as i remember the book being. i don't know why they felt they had to deviate from the ending, but whatever. it was a little light on the message side as well(there was only one real message throughout the movie, that they felt the need to continue repeating), but overall, it was decent. i liked the kid they used to play ender, i feel they captured the book character very accurately(again, from what i remember).

Red Cliff is a good movie. I thought it was going to be a so-so action movie at first, but lots of cool strategy/intrigue in it.

i couldn't get past the trailer. i'm guessing this is farther along in the transformers storyline, as they aren't using the same actors from the previous movies? either way, i'm ****ing tired of seeing mark wahlberg(play ANOTHER hero, jesus ****ing christ. switch up, wahlberg. be a ****ing villain again. remember "fear"?). if they were going to fast-forward the timeline, they at least could have used some well-talented, but lesser known actor. i'm tired of seeing the same actors in all of the goddamn movies, ffs. did they not want to risk promising up-and-comers with summer blockbusters, or something? sackless worms, if you ask me. i'll never watch the ****, just for that reason. special effects doesn't mean **** whenever hollywood rehashes the same goddamn character actors all the mother****ing time.

The first one was passable. The only redeeming quality of the second was that they blew up my University on screen. The third was just painful to sit through, and never mind that I was there to watch them filming part of it in Chicago. I simply won't watch another one.

i forgot that i ranted before about the transformers series of movies. but i'll reiterate what i said, in case anyone forgot. movies that change something original just to be a commercial for something new(ie. cars, clothes, etc) piss me off. yeah, and let's not forget the human relationships taking a big part out of a story about intergalactic space robots. fFs.
oh yeah, forgot the "human" decepticon in two. garbage. sheer ****.

Under the Skin:
This is a brilliantly weird and original film. Scarlett Johansson is an incognito alien from outer space in Scotland, luring men into her trap and somehow feeding on them. There's no gore, the digestion process is very different and impressively cinematographic. The film leaves a lot to the audience to interpret but it's not vague. Besides, you get to see Miss Johansson naked both frontal and from the back and not just for a split second, she is even more gorgeous with that dark black hair.
Transcendence:
-Spoilers-
Remember the discussion here about what would happen if you could upload your consciousness to a computer, well, this film is based on that. The first half of the movie is quite reasonable and an interesting sci-fi with intriguing questions. After the uploaded consciousness/evolved AI invents new forms of incredible nanotechnology and starts to implant itself on humans though, it kind of practically becomes Body Snatchers and things like spreading through raindrops or reconstructing things with flying particles in the air start to make you feel like you're watching fantasy rather than sci-fi, it's over the top.
Still, worth downloading.
