Lauren Bacall also passed away. I guess that 30 Rock joke where celebirties always go in threes is true! I loved her in the Big Sleep, such a sexy woman but not in a bimbo way. R.I.P.

I come here to pay my condolences to the beautiful and magnificent Lauren Bacall and see that Artu has beaten me too it 
She was probably my favorite actress. I have To Have and To Hold; the Big Sleep and Dark Passage. I know the darn lyrics to the songs and Lauren's lines in all movies. Yep, that's how much I loved her.
She was magnificent in everything. And now we have lost one of the wonderful Grande Dames of the Golden Era of movies. Her collaboration and movies with husband Humphrey Bogart are amazing (see my above collection - not forgetting Key Largo).
She was sassy, sultry and smoking hot without any flesh flashing. There is simply no actress like her now. We have a set of look a like bimbo's with too much botox and plastic in their faces. Long gone are the days of the real woman in movies.

The Zero Theorem is a very interesting movie and the cinematography is amazing. In fact, the movie was so intense in every way, I decided to take a break and restart it when this suicidal heatwave cools down.
Director Terry Gilliam (Life of Brain, Brazil, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) is an artist, once again. The lead actor is Christopher Waltz and I think it is now beginning to be safe to say that he never fails to deliver either.

Guardians was fun! The only previous Marvel film I watched was Avengers and I got bored
But this one I enjoyed it, recommended if you want some laughs

I saw it for the kali sequences and was somewhat disappointed as the protagonist wasn't particularly skilled. Which was why they avoided showing him in action during the first part of the film.. He kicks @ss by the final scene though.
It is an intense movie but I didn't like the protagonist going full emo in the beginning. A small complaint however, the movie is pretty watchable regardless.

It's korea. The whole country is emo.
Most stories that involve character evolution start with a ridiculous, your whole family just died in a fatal accident and you yourself were mortally wounded. Then they proceed to show the main character getting abused for the first half of things and then it's payback time. Which is basically normal korean life.

I could be wrong but I think I recommended The Raid 2 somewhere in this thread, but yes - I agree it (and its predecessor) was really good as well.

You recommended the first one, Corribus, way back in 2013 (I was bored and looked for it). The sequel was an instant buy. Baseball bat and hammer girl make the movie for me.
Another great foreign film is Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons. It's another very entertaining Stephen Chow film.
