tried watching "legend"(2015). got halfway through before i turned it off. started watching "the revenant", instead. i've already seen the bear attack though, so i may be just heading into more mediocrity.

i realized that the same actor that is in "legend", is one of the guys in "the revenant". i like the actor; and up-and-comer that i first saw in "the drop"(a good movie).

His name is Tom Hardy and he also played Max Rockatansky in "Mad Max: Fury Road." He's a good actor indeed.

I know Tom Hardy better as Bane, though I didn't like that Batman movie, and yes as the new Mad Max, and also from "Warrior".

yeah, those were his eyes, weren't they? i should have realized. i usually can see actors behind whatever disguises they wear in roles.

Yeah Tom Hardy has rocked every movie I've seen him in so far! Check out "Lawless" for another not as popular movie he did. He plays the "guy you don't want to mess with" role really well.

i don't know, after finishing "the revenant", i felt like that entire movie was a waste of my time. the ending was a stupid icing on a pretty boring cake to begin with.

i'll be watching this one next. looks pretty good. you can't really fail with the python crew, or the lead actor. eddie izzard should be fun, too. i've always liked him.

It definitely wasn't as good as I thought it was gonna be. The almost 3 hour run time didnt help. Still think Tom Hardy was a badass most of the time

I am very selective in terms of movies I watch in a cinema and I hate when a movie disappoints me. This is why I'm sad.

ok, so i watched the movie. it started off good, then went down downhill, and kept getting worse.

oh well, it was worth a try.

I heard lots of people with low opinions of Man of Steel, but I thought it was by far the best Superman movie out there. I thought the ones in the 70s sucked, and the one that came out years before Man of Steel was kind of 'meh'.

Normally I complain about over-use of CGI & battles, but for movies like The Matrix or Superman, it's naturally going to have a big place in the movie. I loved seeing the insane speed & strength of the Kryptonians. Kal-El vs Faora-Ul and Nam-Ek was great.

The only thing I remember from either of the recent superman movies is that wtf scene where Clark's dad goes to rescue a dog in a car during a tornado and then he gets trapped or something and Clark is about to rescue him but then the Dad holds up his hand to say "no" because that would reveal Clark's identity.

I mean seriously

wtf

The original two superman movies though were fun and different and charming.  Gene Hackman as "Lex Looo-thor" and his doofus sidekick were really memorable.  The ending of the second one was also memorable because superman outsmarts Zod instead of a final cliche melee battle. The greatest parts of the movie though were how it portrayed superman's human side, specifically his awkwardness when trying to hit on Lois Lane.  I mean he's an invulnerable god but he still needs to get laid and is not quite sure how to do it.  Great story

Kevin Costner just did that because he didn't want to be in the movie anymore. And Kal-El didn't voluntarily let him die. Kevin Costner was using force hold on him.

I liked Man of Steel, it was the kind of Superman movie I wanted to see for the present times, an origin film different from the Donner film with Christopher Reeve and not trying to copy the style.

I liked man of steel, it showed some interesting things that the old movies had not. They kinda overdid it though and also some dramatic scenes were a bit hard to believe. With some extra polish it could have been much better but there were a lot of good things to appreciate nonetheless.

Go watch Hateful Eight. I want some opinions on the movie. Personally I found it the best movie of the past 12months.
