I use photobucket to upload pics here, I've never uploaded a zip file with text documents ever before. Can you recommend something that I can use to send those files here? I'm assuming using the 'Insert Hyperlink' function

I haven't looked into the Russian translation issue yet, but I have it disabled in the launcher menu, so I don't know why it is the way it is??

There's second russian translation. Click on the bracket > to the left In The Wake ot Gods mod to expand submodes. There disable Russian Wog Translation. After work I send ypu PM how to upload zip files at hosting pages.

Do you like Heroes Orchestra? They make some amazing covers of Heroes III soundtracks and more. Recently, one 4chan user uploaded the renamed mp3 files of their work. If you put them in your Heroes III music folder, you'll have beautiful symphonic arrangements playing in almost all town screens (they haven't recorded the Stronghold nor Conflux theme yet). After I installed ERA 2 on the Heroes 3 folder whenever I try to start VCMI it says:
"Assertion failed: type == DATA_STRING, file JsonNode.cpp, line 258"
How to fix it?

You are not supposed to install H3 mods in folder used by VCMI.

But it worked fine with Horn of the Abyss.

It is same as installing all games/programs to one folder and complaining about some aplication not working eventually. VCMI is supposed to be installed in clean H3 complete directory. This is the fix.
Alternatively you can create folder for VCMI and copy folders "data", "maps", "mp3" from heroes to folder with VCMI unpacked/installed

I made a little mod that adds some colour to our VCMI. Now, bloodlust spell has a bit more fitting animation.

Another day, another mod, another step towards VCMI righteous supremacy!
With this little bit of code, Black and Gold dragons in Hero's army allow him to upgrade their lesser kin from the opposing alliance (Green into Black and Red into Gold).
The Gold dragon upgrade costs 1500 gold + 2 crystals, and Black one costs 1600 gold + 2 sulfur.
