These two things are unrelated to each other. We don't plan WoG redistribution any time soon, it's just a matter of repackaging lods.
Looking for somebody smart to do that. Still, modifying any files before preliminary mod support is just doubling the work.

I don't know if this should go to wog install topic or this, but since I want to test VCMI..
I've been installing and re-installing WoG a lot lately. First time I installed WoG it worked fine, but now it keeps getting worse every time reaching it's pinnacle just now: it's normal HOMM3 even though I launch.
How should I install wog? What install package? At the moment I've clean heroes install.

It doesn't matter how bad WoG works, as long as all the \Data folder is there. VCMI uses completely different executable.

Installing ERA will probably not help because wog's data files are now placed in Mods folder and if my memory does not fail, VCMI does not read data from there.

What's the current status/ETA on the remaining spells (Earthquake, Visions, View Earth, View Air, Disguise)?

Aww...that's too bad. Aside from the big stuff(network multiplayer and improving the AI), aren't these missing spells the only main features still missing from basic Heroes III?

Ah yes, thanks. I did have that bookmarked awhile back but had forgotten about it.
So, looking at that list it seems I was correct--aside from the AI development and multiplayer network play, the main missing features from the basic game (that actually affect game play itself) are those spells.
I guess the campaigns would also be considered a major feature but the lack of them won't affect other maps at all.
I know everyone on the VCMI team has worked long and hard to get to this point and I applaud your efforts (and innovations!).

Nice, what will do the four new artefacts for stacks? I suppose banner remains same, but wand, arrow and monster power?

Also, another nice feature for next version is that you no longer need to deal with WoG. VCMI should now work also on ERA install, so there's no need to change your language and what not.
Additionally, extra features like stack experience or commanders can be turned on and off with config file.

Looks like 0.9 is coming in October. Latest features, especially AI and battle rewrite, seem quite buggy and we couldn't make it for September 1st.
To make up for it, there is a good chance for adding new creatures or artifacts soon We'll see how it turns out.
