He won again.....not much to say, he "just" had outstandin stats on both games, so I was hopeless....in fact, in last game, after his high druids use their special, he had 10 20 27 19 of stats, being destructive. With no magic reduction I was hopeless, and my runes didn't meant a difference at all.
Anyways, congrats for the games, and may good luck see you in the future

Well going destructive against Fortress is a pretty big gamble with half the units being immune to fire or against it's armour effects together with rune of elemental immunity. A replay would be nice so we can see whether it was all that hopeless.

Yeah, I though I had made a dumb decision. Specially since I never got imbue arrow. And my selection of spells was kinda poor (only implosion and chain lightining). So I got the artifact area that had the destructive tome, and luckyly it had some other good stuff too.
I also got some good skills leveling: defense, enlightment + inteligence, luck, leadership + empathy. But imbue never came, I kept wasting money on mentor and it never showed up. Wasted so much I didnt had money for all troops, so I though I was doomed.

Shatter destructive did its work after I failed to get dark. Seemed promising at first but detain and corrupt proved too much for me.

Hey all. Unfortunatelly, I was unable to find a good time to play Clayman this week. And today, I will have to leave town and I will be without computer for at least a week.
So, I think I will have to resign from this tourney. I am really sorry about that, specially since I was finally wining some games and was really enjoying this tourney.
Well, I had a lot of fun anyway and I thank you all for letting me play here with you. I see you guys in 2010.

Excellent, time to get moving again people!
Finally got to play Albo but the net fell for the rest of the evening so we only got 1 game done. Everything will be decided in the last match

When we are done, one of the coming days. Though this one was rather pathetic on my part, I recall being annoyed at -1 morale triggering often, dwarven luck with boots not quite helpful and vamps torporing my poor dwarves. My damage was low so it was a boring match.
Apparently it was a bad idea to start with teleport and battlerage paw strike

We finally finished our games with Elvin. In the end he won 3-2. Congrats and good luck in next games
4. Necro vs Fortress
Elvin already wrote about this game. It went very good for me. The bad morale helped as he says. Got also luck in some good moments. Torpor, i'm not surprised it worked with soldiers luck which i think was the skill Elvin should have. Thunderclap runes failed, same as battleragers bash but the resistance worked pretty good i think. For almost 40% they resisted a lot in my opinion. The most surprising moment for me was cleansing cast on rune keepers. I think Elvin had expert light magic so the only possible explanation why wasn't confusion cleansed is the 98% probability for it because i had 22 level. If he had expert light than this was damn luck

5. Inferno vs Haven
I had an idea at start that probably would be better than the next one From swift gating with lot's of mass spells i changed my mind and decided for 100% gambling with 3 stacks of seducers and strong first hit with 5 luck. It didn't worked and i also played quite bad and a bit confusing for Elvin Counted for fear from horses but it didn't worked ( i know i should try to fear palies instead of griffins but i really must have slept bad because i thought i was fighting Irina and somehow forgot to check if he didn't changed the hero i noticed it's dougal after my archdevils where halved), same as seducing fanatics just before their action. Elvin got early morale and the empathy build delivered great results. Crossbowman did the damage and i didn't do a lot to stop them. Not a good game from my side. Elvin avoided mistakes and he deserved to win it. Rest is on the replay.

Thanks to everyone that participated in this tournament. It was fun and pleasure to play You all. I'm satisfied about the result and wish some great games in next rounds. Waiting for some good replays
