Well I find it silly as well, the dressing up and all. But it's just, sometimes you hear people saying that "they dont' have a problem with gays (or whatever), if only they would just behave like normal people". Of course I'm putting things on the edge here, but my point is if you want to talk real (as in idealized and perfectly utopian) acceptance, those things should really matter. In the world of flowers and rainbows (and that's not a gay association) people would accept each other without caring so much about what they wear, how they behave or what they do in their bedrooms.

Anyway, keeping things real, I think in reality much of it is a counter-reaction to having been oppressed, specifically or indirectly. I think many gays want to send the message "hey, we don't care what you think about us anymore", which you could say makes it a provocation, and I guess it is. Which will feed the negative feedback, because that will make people make a distance, which again will make the gays (or whatever) say that they still don't care.

So what I guess I'm saying is that on one hand, no, I don't think parades will help increase tolerance, but on the other hand, people need to tolerate the parades if we should have a sincere acceptance (and not just a more or less functional co-existance). In a way, I guess you can say it's like poking a wound to make it heal - it might be a small step in the wrong way, but maybe a necessary one for the long-term process. And I think the parades are an important factor in making a gay identity for some people.

Hmm...I think you're right. And I didn't mean to correct or anything btw.

Yeah I know what you mean... people don't seem to realize that they're contradicting themselves. Accepting someone for being gay is not related to accepting someone for dressing different during a parade. It really isn't.

What I find a lot more baffling are people who claim "Oh I don't have a problem with gays, as long as they don't come near me". Essentially implying they think they are SO hot it would be impossible for any gay-man to resist attempting rape on them.

Because naturally every gay-man will try to fondle and molest every single guy he encounters regardless of said guy's orientation or looks.

Honestly, wake up, you're really not that hot.

It's pretty annoying if you can't decide wether you want to spend your life with a man or a woman - whichever choice you will end up making, you'll feel like you miss something in either case.

Fortunately I have a preference But I pity those who don't.

Trio-relationship? Risky.

And hermaphrodites lack both the masculine appeal men have and the feminine appeal women have, for me.

No, I mean it's not like one typically says "I'll take a women" and then only goes after women.

Rather it's "I wanna find a mate" then finds a mate and accept hir for whatever hirs gender is.

At least I hope not.

Not necessarily. Being bi seems like it might be burdensome since you're never around a gender you can just completely chill with. I mean sure it's not like you can't have a friendly relationship with somebody you can be potentially attracted to, but those are less common and still not quite the same. I think I'd prefer to be straight or full throttle homo.

Or just plain asexual?

I usually don't find people attractive before I get to know them (except for blond women, which is like 25% of the world, ack), so I often don't feel any kind of emotional burden, causing rapid unwanted thoughts, when I try to have a regular conversation.

On the other hand, when I get to know people, I seem to be easily attracted, at least I often want to spend my time with them and would like to be close to them.

Edit: And then after I get to know them, there are those occasionaly strange moments of silence and emotionally chaos, leading to lots of unctrontollable thoughts flooding my head, like what often happens with blond girls.

Don't worry, those are hormones which make your penis rise. That's completely normal.

And it's not that easy often times. Personally I tend to like men and women for different reasons, and I see myself in a different way with either. So if I didn't have a preference choosing one would inevitably lead to missing out on the other. Not that it matters too much on an emotional level though!

When you say missing out, I wonder, do you base the value of your life on the experiences of your past?

I think the LGBT-movement needs to realise that they are.. well.. gay, and as such, cannot have the rights of families. To make a pancake you need both milk and eggs, without one or another, it's not a pancake.

Some people just protest a little too much .  What two consenting adults (or more if that is their thing) do is nobody's business but there own (as long as nobody gets killed).  Unfortunately people got to stick their noses where it don't belong.  Because you know the world just revolves around them..the 'spechul snowflakes'.
