I just updated from 3.28 to 3.34 and there is this new thing called Available Instead Growth In Town. This must be some weird translation attempt. Did anybody figure out what this is, if not can someone who speaks Russian open the HD change log and translate it properly? Google Translate is helpless on this one.
Edit:I got it, on the left-bottom corner of town screen instead of weekly growth, you see number of available units. Nice one and the good part is you can turn it off if you want to.

Other new feature is improved overwiev when using the Town Portal Spell.
Icons are showed for respective towns, towns occupied by a visiting hero are highlighted.
Since the HD mod's objective is to vamp up the game's appearance, could it replace weaker player colors (tan,teal) by more vivid ones (yellow,black)?

Hi,
I have Windows 7 64 bit. When playing H3 HD 3.35 with ERA 2.43 the heroe-movement on the map gets very slow after a while. And the battle-performance is gettin slow, too.
Does somebody have an idea about the reason for that?

SO I've been playing for 13-14 years now and I must say this MOD is fabulous. Brilliant in all ways. Still, it sucks.
For someone who lacks some it skills - like my friends and in certain limits me - it is hard to install. It is not intuitive.
And simple things like: one had hd+ the other doesn't can take forever to realise.
So it's like you made the greatest pizza ever, gave it for free to everyone, but in order to eat it they must solve the relativity theorem.
Anyway, this feature would be great if:
- it would be easy to use - you can still have the launcher, but some guys need only the .exe and a reame saying 'link your game ranger to this'
- it works with ppl who don't have this mod, or have another version or have other options
Oh, and something from my side: why does it split armies in half? I have 40 pikers, take 5 in order to make 5 stacks of 1, but then it makes stacks of 20 so I get back to doing it myself.
Well, very awesome feature anyways, great job.

LATER edit: a bug i found: when chatting inside the castle pressing space switches the heroes; if you have no heroes at every touch of the space button it gives a nasty error that you must dismiss

It sucks? Hard to install? I don't get your point here.
You simply have to carry out an .exe-file.
To explain the stack split function:
Strg+click will get you a new 1-unit stack each time
Alt+click on a, say 120 Pikemen, stack will get you
-2 stacks of 60 Pikemen respectively for the 1st time
-3 stacks of 40 Pikemen respectively
and so forth.

Wow, it was unbeknownst to me that this feature existed at all.
Thought it was the shooter's downside not to be able to do melee-attacks.
Possibly a button for this mode could be introduced by the HD Mod.

For you it is obviously simple. For some, not.
It you start the .exe. You create another .exe for ranger. That .exe you rename and move the old .exe away. You go to ranger and shot it the way. You don't chose hd+ or some of your friend might not see it and u're stuck in a loop asking who where went wrong. And besides, I can only play with those who have it. If I wanna randomly indulge myself in random homm3 fun I must unistall it, recreate the old h3, make sure it works fine and so on.
Trust me, some ppl are great heroesers but awful computerers

Well, in order to play modified games, people have to put some brain effort also, asking the mod maker to make version for retarded people is taking his valuable time for tedious task. Saying that it sucks because you don't know how to click on exe or unrar it exaggerated. Either you play vanilla, or you take 10 minutes, read some help here, try yourself to install and eventually it will work, as for everyone.

Gotta enjoy talking to ppl who quickly classify other ppl as retarded. I assume it gives you strength of some twisted sort.
That mod maker's job is what then? Create a product of limited usability, as much as it is good? Sit on it a while, will you?

I had many problems getting it working aswell. For normal people there are many things that makes it not work that you simply cant know about. Even though I had heroes complete on a disk it was nessesary to download the game from the net to make HD+ work. And I only figured this out with help from a friend.
The good thing now is that I have version 3.04 connected with the original game and I use that on gameranger. And I have the newest Hd version connected with the heroes complete I downloaded on the net and I use that on hamachi (and its automatically updated now).

The Hamachi part I dn't care.
The Ranger one:
- version 3.04 of h3 hd? Where did you get that? On their site there is none
- I also use h3 platinum edition that I dlded from torrents, even though I paid for the whole heroes 1-5 collector's edition

I got it from the site when it was the newest version and just kept it. I can send it to you on e-mail if you want.
I know some people cant make the newest version work on gameranger, but it works for me. I have the game in a folder on the desktop. You create a HD exe in the launcher. This new exe you rename to heroes3 (and keep it in the same folder). The old exe you rename to something else. And then on gameranger you lead it to the new exe you created. (You probably know this allready, but just in case...)
Also its important to remember that the newest version will only work if you play vs someone who also have one of the newest versions.

actually it is not right. the opponent must have HD version 3.17 or higher, only if you want to play with HD+ option (it's activates protected saves, replayable quick qombat, some fixed original gameplay bugs).
When HD+ option is turned off you can play vs any version of HD or vs pure SoD/Complete
