Haha, Heroes 1 already does that. You can remember X spells of each type, where X is your Knowledge level. Spamming spells in Heroes 1 doesn't work unless your Knowledge is massive (10+). You probably won't get as much until the end of a scenario unless you're a Sorceress.

Dave: You'll be happy to hear that the treasuries are back. You can for example stumble upon a location called an Infernal gate, guarded by Inferno troops which will give you some gold and resources. And there are other similar locations. The battlefield layout is so far normal, but hey, the battlefields have actually improved from the first phase of the beta, so nothing is solid. (There were no rallying flags, blind maidens or mana pools on battlefields, nor different sized battlefields in the first phase.)
The new maps also seem richer to me, they have added many new objects to visit in this next phase of beta, so don't be afraid, most of the difficuties you're experiencing indeed come from the BA map :-)

Balancing might vs magic heroes
They can add a mage tower/library building that only magic heroes can access with additional spells that can be added in your abilities tab.
For example...
1."Spell name" Hero level 5
2."Spell name" Hero level 10
3."Spell name" Hero level 15
4."Spell name" Hero level 20
Honestly I think the real strategy is the number of troops you have in your kingdom/Hero. No matter how strong your hero is whether it's might or magic, all it does is give you more options/maneuvers on the battlefield that enhances strategy.
But consider having for example 25 angels with a Hero level 1 vs 25 crossbowman with a Hero lvl 30. Guess who would win, the level 1 hero. The point is, it's after all a strategy game, am I going for the relic artifact that's guarded by 10 dragons and lose troops or not going for it and save my troops to defeat an enemy Hero. That's what it boils down to, it's how many of your troops are you going to go to war with and win the map vs the AI. Because the AI always tries to get you with legions of troops at the end.

Want a bet I'd win that fight? With a magic hero for certain, not sure about might. Numbers mean little compared to level and artifact advantage or so they did. Remains to be seen if that is the case in H6.

3 questions?
1. Can we convert any fort to ANY town after capturing it? Or just the town you started with? Because so far in the demo when I picked heaven to start the game with, every other fort I captured forced me the option to convert to heaven and nothing else?
2. When we level, how can we favor to increase might power vs might defence attributes?
3. Is there an autocombat button from the adventure map?

The objective of the conversion is to convert buildings to your faction. Either you let the buildings as they are or you convert them to your faction.

You can't.

I like to play with different towns sometimes and would like if any hero can convert a town to his faction not the starting one. Maybe make that a lv5 skill. Gives more diversity and flavor to the game, at least for me. I also hope they allow other heroes to have reputation abilities.

my laptop is i7 4gb dd3 my pc is e7500 2gb dd2 or dd3 on pc demo is laggy and i want to play on 22 inch instead of 17, is getting 2 more gb of memory enough or do i need other stuff, anybody knows ?

One of the best news about teh Conversion was when I herde that you can disable it in the editor. this making the game somhow easier to reshape to your owen ideal state.
I personaly have a problem whith the conversion in the sence that it is instat. Enter the Town, clik on a button and wow! it is my town. I see a great potential for ingame problems.
You lose a town, and not only the gold and creature incom, but also to retrive it you will have to spend a lot of gold. Ad especialyif it is you capitol.. one town can be a lost of more then 30k gold + income. Just because just because you were one day from you town. And 30k is not a small nomber of unites.
My purposle?:
Make the conversion take several days, different times for different structers.
Anable the posibility to stop the conversion
If the conversion taks place, the map object does not provide any bonuses.
Core layer: 2 days
Elite layer, Fort: 4 days
Champion layer, Town: 7 days

1. Has anyone figured out the order of the threat levels of mobs and if so can someone display it? Like for example does a low threat level come before trivial?
2. Can we place shooting units on the tower before combat? Or do we have to expend movement.
3. Can we dismiss heroes?

I don't get how it can become overkill when even simple randomness can give you that just now. You are not stronger than an army of same faction units on the contrary so why overkill? I just like to play with many things it's the only reason not because it's stronger.
Also I consider instant conversion ok gameplay wise not realistic sure but what is in those games?.
