Quote: December has set in, this should be a most interesting month Unfortunately I do not know how early is early December for ubi but we should have something in the coming days. Hopefully. Don't hold your breath for this week just to be safe
I expect the reveal to be in one week from today, fingers crossed! And really hoping I'll be able to say it was worth the wait.
For me it will always be worth the wait. I'm excited for any new faction to come along. Elvs, dwarves, dungeon, accadamy, all of them can be a very good faction and based on what we've seen so far ubihole don't intend to just slap a faction together without thinking about it first.
I can't say i hate any of the creatures revealed so far and hopefully this trend continues. Basically i'm just excited that their bringing out a new game.

Ok since I havnt posted anything thus far I will post my opinion of the factions thus far:
Haven- awsome looking units. Especially the sunstriders, sorta adds more light to haven. The blazing glory... Idk maybea bit to much, it looks more of something that wuld belong more with temple.
Necropolis - amazing. Love the new twist. love the sphinx and the spidre.
Inferno- ok idk. First too many unidentifiable red/black beasts. Im talking of course about the maniac, tormentor and juggernaut. Im not saying they dont look cool, they just look like upgrade/alternate of each other. Reminds me of H5 stroghold. Wut happened to the efreeti that every1 loved? Or even the nightmare. Also the imps shuld remain a classic inferno creature. The breeder? Eh :/. On a good note, the pit lords look siiiiick! At first I was like "wth, wut happend to the devils?" But after I saw the pitlorda I said "screw the devils"
Whats cool, but also may not be cool is that there r no creatures that look like ur gonna stack to the 1000's. I do like how more creatures r considered of the same "teir" I guess we'll c how it plays. Cant wait to c the abilities and spells!

I like the new style of the inferno except for 2 creatures, the maniac and the tormentor.
The maniac has not such a bad disign but i think it doesnt fit for a core creature. The meele core creatures are representing the light soldiers of the army. There are often hundreds or maybe thousands of them on battlefield. I can imagine a army of ghouls and praetorians but a army of maniacs whould look like a horde of hommade robots made up of some metal waste and two hoses glued on it as arms but not like a terrifying army from hell. I wish they give him a more
'slave of hell'-like look with another face (perhaps a tortured face of pain).
But maybe Im just a bit picky
And I dont like the tormentor because it looks like the ghoul and not like a demon.
But I still like the new interesting style of the demons, especially the pit lord which is simply mighty.

Agreed! Personnaly I would like to have the imp returning, since the inferno is a hierachy based faction there should be some units, which is at the bottom of the hierachy. And to me maniacs don't seem like the type of units, who only obey their masters simply because they fear them. Imps always had this kiss-ass effect to them, like small cowards who thinks they are gonna die if they do not obey.

Wow. I am almost blinded by the sheer manliness of the characters. I bet they can wine-taste, drive hybrids, and pluck their body hair with the best of them.

Both women's eyes are glowing green (indicating Necro), and the one on far right is wearing a hood with a Necromancer symbol on it. This tells us absolutely squat about what the other two factions will be.

Agree. The ghost is most likely the father then.

Yeah, this is basically a cartoonization of a graphic we saw earlier.
In the front is Anton, next to him is Kiril (the one in red), and between Kiril and the girl on the far right is...the girl who ended up being a vampire.
The chick to the far right is Sveltana; the ghost on the left is their father, whose name I can't remember at the moment.
But Anton is Haven, Kiril is Inferno, and Anastasia (that's the name!) is Necropolis.
The picture tells us plenty; it's just not actually new information.

That's all of the siblings accounted for, right?
That's actually a really useful picture; it tells us that the new faction likely won't have any ties to the human empire in any way.

Read again, that's exactly three of the siblings accounted for, the ghost's their father and the lady in the hood is Sveltana, their (I presume) aunt.

Quoting directly from a facebook old post in order to help with the characters in the image:
Heroes VI tells the story of the Griffin dynasty, when they were still Dukes of the Holy Empire, and not yet sitting on the Imperial throne (like in Heroes 5 and Clash of Heroes).
The Griffin Duchy is east of the Empire, a region that would correspond to the Slavic nations in our own world.
At the dynasty’s origins, The Griffin Duke Pavel was a zealous servant of the Light and a trusted lieutenant of the Falcon Emperor.
He met his demise defending his own duchy from a Demon host summoned by the dying wish of a desperate enemy.
Pavel’s heroic last stand would ensure the survival of his son, Slava, who was only a boy at the time of these events.
Pavel’s sister Svetlana,
who had left her homeland to become a prominent Necromancer in the Seven Cities, was called back to act as regent to Slava and educate him in the ways of the Griffin.
Fifteen years and a war have past. Duke Slava of Griffin is now the father of five promising children. These are the main Heroes of the Heroes 6 campaign, and they will lead different factions to battle.
1st CHILD: ANTON – HAVEN
*Elder son of the Griffin Duke. Heir to his father’s crown.
*Since his childhood, Angels whisper in his ear.
*They speak of glory and purity but also of corruption and betrayal.
*Frustrated and confused, he must expose the lies and pick his side.
2nd CHILD: ANASTASYA - NECROPOLIS
*Her father’s murderer.
*Executed by her beloved brother Anton.
*Brought back to life as an undead Necromancer.
*Did she really kill her father? If yes, why?
*She must recover her memories to find the truth!
3rd CHILD: KIRIL – INFERNO
*Betrayed by someone he trusted above all people.
*Sacrificed to the powers of Sheogh.
*His soul is ripped apart in a terrible ritual to share his body, and his memories, with a powerful Demon.
*The Demon guest and his host fight for control, with the human’s soul as their battlefield.
*Torn between two loyalties, whom will he pledge allegiance to?
And Svetlana Bio from the Q&A:
"My name is Sveltana, aunt of Slava. I left my home in order to dedicate my life to Asha, the goddess of Death. I used to be beloved and called "Flower of the North, but now people fear me and call me Pariah, Heretic or Necromancer ..."
Daughter of the Griffin Duke who was hoping for a son, Sveltana lived with the burden of being a lone child, unwanted by her parents. At the age of 15, after the birth of her brother Pavel, she was isolated while he was named heir of the throne. She was quite happy with how things turned for her and she left her home in order to study the world of Spirits, first with the Angels then with the Magicians of the Seven Cities. She was an excellent student and the Necromancer Aguirre became her mentor. Since she had no link with her familly, she decided to join the freshly born Cult of Asha, the spider goddess. She became Aguirre's assistant and his right-hand woman.
She travelled through the Jade Sea islands with her master in order to free Mother Namtaru, a powerfull avatar of the Spider Goddess. Aguirre was killed during the expedition and Sveltana, alone, brought the creature back to the Silver Cities. She became a legend among all the Necromancers. She didn't have much time to enjoy her fame. Shortly after triumphant come-back, she was called to help Pavel to stop a demonic invasion. Sadly, she arrived too late and couldn't save her brother. She became the regent of the Griffin Duchy until her nephew Pavel**(note: I think this is an errata as Pavel is the name of Svetlana sister and this is supposed to be Slava, the father of the children)** would be old enough to reign.
So in conclusion, in this image we have 3 of the 5 sons, Svetlana, who is the Aunt of Slava, the father of the children, and the ghost who could be the father of the children (Slava) or the grand father and brother of Svetlana (Pavel).
Hope that it helps.

Quote: If you look at that picture you can see all factions!
Inferno is the evil man looking red thing, the man on front is of course haven, the ghost is necropolis, the first woman is an elf probably from rampart and the dark elf is from a dungeon-like place.
It has been said at least one hundred times already. NO this doesn't represent all the factions.
There's Anton (Haven), Kiril (Inferno) and Anastasia (Necropolis). The ghost is either their father (Slava) or their grandfather (Pavel). The woman on the right is Sveltana (Necropolis)
Quote: Sveltana's their aunt if I recall correctly, their father's sister.
Sveltana is Pavel's sister, so she's the siblings' great-aunt

Well I suppose when you think about it, if they have kids when they're 17-18 (early maturity, it wouldn't really be that surprising), then he'd be a granddad no later than 34-36.

Not this week, I suspect. Perhaps next week, maybe even the one after that. As long as you've not passed the halfway point you're still in the early part.
And here is to (misplaced) hoping that the ridiculous speculating will end. Praying to the Gods that hopes and dreams will not be put forth as based ideas and insights into the minds of developers and publicers.
A drink to that and to flying pigs.
