DM is set about 19 years after Heroes V ToTe, and it actually finishes the story line. Serath, the boy you are playing as, is Isabels and Kha-Belets Son.
and one thing you must love about DM is Xana

I palyed DM like all the ways u can (wizard, warrior, assasin) and just loved it. Each way had the advantages, and disadvantages. Hope Ubi will come up with a next such PR game. Besides the FP shooters going in meele combat in FP is just awesome Maybe we will se a next episode where u play Serath as the prince of demons, while conquering the world of Ashan

Typical attitude like that equals ignorance also alternate upgrades "sucked" only because some were totally unbalanced compared to the old. Like the SYlvan War Dancer were IMO useless compared to the Wind Dancer.
I HATE single upg / linear upg/alternatives. There could been have given som much more potential and depth like H4 choice and H5 ToTE alternate, gives.

Personally I saw the new alternative upgrades as not just a way to create new playstyles for factions with new units but to fix some rather inferior units (War Dancers, plague zombied, most of Inferno, so by introducing them in an expansion they can make the game more balanced along with make more battle strategies.

They create Half-Beasts/Orcs animate Golems/Gargoyles and Titans
why can't they control a Phoenix..!
A legitimate inquiry.
Core:
Gremlins/Halflings
Golems
Magi
Elite:
Genies
Phoenix
Rakshasas or something
Champion:
Titans
Perfect.

Quote: They took a lot of inspiration from DM: Ghouls, Cyclops and Fate S/W and probably more.
So, just for curiosity, did DM came before or after Tribes of East?
I have to see a walkthrough of the game (I'm not really a fan of first person games).
Story wise is as Dave_Jame said, if you refer to the game it was released at a few months away ToE (May 2006) while DM October 24, 2006 (you can check some game sites if you want more precise info)

Perfect? Stuff that, the Phoenix has been around longer than the Titan, it deserves the Champion spot as much as that walking statue. Besides, the Academy never quite got its theme pinned down did it, I mean is a faction of summoned creatures, or a faction of constructed one, a faction that uses non-livings because it wants to protect its peoples, or a race that just can't drum enough slaves in to fill up its ranks?

Who comes up with this stuff? Really - either beat him until he figures out that the game audience isn't 12-year-olds or just fire him.

You just proved his point. Alternate upgrades in H5 sucked because they were unbalanced or useless, thus we ended with a fake choice between a strong and a weak creatures ... what's the point in making both of them then ? None, thus alternate upgrades sucked.
I'd rather have to choose among 2 creatures per tier like in H4 : crusader or monk ? etc...
What I would love for H6 is having a choice of 3 creatures among 5 cores, then a choice of 3 creatures among 4 elites and finally a choice of 1 creature among 2 champions.

I also think alternate upgrades suck.
I would prefer having a second upgrade for example, that would make a core unit as powerful as a basic elite one. And thus, an upgraded upgraded-Elite creature would be as strong as a basic Champion one.
That would introduce lot of strategy!

Quote: Thats a stronghold hero alright, matches the artwork. So now we have seen stronghold heroes both on foot and mounted...interesting. Though I´m more interested in the three unit stacks in the background, can´t make out what they are
Trying to figure out. My guess:
1. The one on the left is Mauler (unupgraded)
2. The one guarding the building on the right is might be mauler too but upgraded one.
3. The one in the upper right probably the Jaguar Warrior (Unupgraded)
EDIT: For the one in the left is a little blurry much, it seems like a mauler but I failed to see its shield nor club unlike the one guarding the enterance of some building

Gah, not instead of scaling everything back to a more traditional scale, they've scaled the buildings up to match the rest of the environment, making them look way too small, I mean that building in the screenshot looks about the size of a large wardrobe.
