Why people refer to Coatl as a feathered snake? when it literally means snake. Coatl = snake, Quetzalcoalt = feathered snake.
If we go even further Naga = snake. So we have synonyms naga=coatl.
And the difference is from a fishy snakeman to a flying snake, when the two words literally mean the same thing.

Love them (except Ghoul, but that's just a matter of taste).
They really look diferent. And better than that is that we can see the quality of creatures in-game.
But now I have another question. I thought that we would have a static camera, that we could only zoom-in or zoom-out. But in the image the camera is in a different angle..

Maybe the blue one is MAGIC hero o.0 But it has ( at least I see it that way) knights armor :S
Anyway I wonder about that artifact close to paladin. It looks like Tear of Asha pic in H5, but it can not be.
I hope we'll get more "on water" adventures, as in H5 maps player was unable to build shipyards cuz town isn't close to water, and that sucked.
So yeah, I never saw how a shipyard in H5 towns looks like...
Yes, it is a Castle.

Both screenshot are great! Especially the Jan 21 screenshot that is made especially for the good people of the community who just moan and moan about imaginary similarities between certain creatures! Good job, Ubisoft!
Jan 20 screenshot makes me wonder, is this the first we see of the H6 Death Knight? Sweet...
@Paiazza
I know what it means. I would rather call it feathered serpent because D&D came up with calling it just Couatl. I want M&M to steer as clear as possible from D&D. So it's either Feathered Serpent or Quatzelcoatl.
@mancubus
Distinctive and childish? As opposed to what, really? Some of H5's cartoonish designs could be considered childish but not these. And I don't see how claws are more distinctive than any other weapons that could have been used in their stead.

Read what Sveltana is saying
"Pure is the Unicorn, noble the Stag and always hungry is the Wolf.."
Unicorn? Stag? Wolf? 3 of the Duchyes. Is this a Story spoiler? Thatthe Wolves will have something to do with the death of Slava or Pavel?

I'm starting to think T-poses concept arts are better than the artworks they give us.
Also, an off-topic: Since heroes 6 is the heroes game that everyone talks now, why do they continue create H5 factions for heroes Kingdoms (they created some time ago elves and now they talk about dwarves)

On today's screenshot they say the Haven building is a fort. Does that mean town? I can't say I'm a big fan of the building. It looks like it can't decide if it's a castle or a cathedral.

So, it could be an 'advanced class' of the knight. or even the magic hero, why it can't be a zealot/paladin who both pray to elrath and smith evil with a huge sword? in some games cleric uses heavy armor...
About the mmorpg ideia:
That would be epic! Wow has many players in specifc global areas, like north america or europe, but the world isn't just these two continets, you know, personaly i don't know anyone who plays that game here where i live (Porto Velho - Brazil).
make it with an asian corporation and bring it slowly to europe and na. look at nexon for example, one of the gratest of the mmogames... it's just matter of knwoing how to handle the situation.
anywways, I would suport more a mmo action-rpg, rather than just a point-click-watch-the-character-do-the-rest.
Or another game like dark messiah, but in 3rd person, it would be great. like crusaders of might and magic- ok, bad example...

Quote: edit: Perhaps if you can recruit units at forts I'll leave them there until I can pick them up.
Still according to what Ubi said, you will be able to recruit units in forts.
And just to prove that I'm not making up stuff ^^
Quote: *What about the area of control?
There are still mines on the adventure map. You still have to flag them in order to gain resources. The new stuff is now all mines are in the "area of control" of a city or fort. Once you own the fort/city of an area and flagg the mines, the only way to take the mines from you is to capture the city/fort that controls the area.
Quote: *What are the new mechanics for creature production?
Creature dwellings will work as resource production buildings. Basically, when you first capture a creature dwelling you will receive a first batch of creatures that you can integrate straight away to your army. The building will then work as a resource building meaning that it will add creatures to your creature pool every week as a gold mine would add gold to your resources. These creatures will then be hirable via the cities and forts you control. So there is no need for caravans.

They probably work as control-points/garrisons that tie mines and dwellings to itself like a castle. You won´t be able to build there but enemies who want to take over the nearby dwellings or mines will have to take over the fort. And you will probably be able to recruit the creatures tied to it in the fort as well and stash them there to defend it (or leave your own creatures there).
Edit:
Just read this so yea...sounds like thats the case.

Maybe you have to convert the fort to be able to recruit creatures for your faction. A Haven fort can only recruit Haven creatures, for example.

edit: Depending on how common forts are this could severely reduce the amount of hero delivery boy chains you use, if you even use any. I know I probably wouldn't bother garrisoning forts much if I couldn't just recruit a defense at the fort itself. Awesome new mechanic, IMO!

Then you can recruit them directly to your fort but they still come from external creature dwellings. What I meant is that your fort doesn't generate new creature batches by itself.
