Well I think the artworks are looking great and I take them over humans and undead anyday. And yes it's true there's not much change from H5 compared to the other factions but you gotta think about it as giving the Orcs a bigger audience, since expansions never reach the same amount of people as the original game, and of course they couldn't have pulled them off as expansion faction yet again. Besides, there's already conflict among fans about the needed amount of change in a "sequel"...

almost all artworks loook good, of everything, but the diversity of creatures, strategy while using them is what scares me... the whole point of a new heroes game is to explore new ways of combat, i dont want the same gating, i dont want blood rage, i want something new coz new means deeper exploration, old stuff means just adjusting to teh same stuff from the previos game... so if they've taken my medusas out of the game, if theres no dungeon or sylvan... at least make the orcs and humans a bit more diverse so i can play with all factions... im stuck with 2/5 thats rude and its not like i can not buy the game

I look forward to the new editor, and speaking about it i have a question for future discussion.

Will we be able to create Cinematics with the editor by using triggers?
We've already seen them in action, like the boss battle animation that we saw at the very announcement of the game. Thats something i always wanted to do with the editor but was unable to because the scripting/coding aspect of it was much to mind boggling for me.

Elvin could you please ask xhane(or xhane if you are reading this)if Cinematics are easier to make this time around?

I am sorry to interrupt your orc-loving discussion, but... I have been considering the racial abilities, recently. Both Haven and Necropolis have a kind of resurrection (Necromancy and the Guarding Angel, if I am correct), Inferno has summoning (Gating) and Stronghold possesses a buff (Blood-rage). So, what about the Sanctuary? I mean, it would be quite fitting for them, to have water-movement. But, wouldn't it be kind of over-power? :-/

Again... why wouldn't it make sense for a nation of orcs to have an army consisting mostly of themselves and an orc shaman? After what's been done to them they're bound to have issues with having other creatures work for them. Ok maybe a wild creature thing could have been fun but we have the Cyclops and the beastmen for that. Still you guys seem to complain mostly because you want more pretty animals. Stronghold is a good faction it's lineup is well rounded and it makes perfect sense.

One of the insiders (forgot who) has already said that the blood rage is different from H5.


well cyclops is also different... even though it throws goblins, has the same weapon and fights in a similar way.. putting a flower on a black dragon and calling it aa flower dragon wont make it a new creature, even though its different... im just annoyed with the lack of diversity within the factions, and abbilities...

Orcs don't gain rage anymore on hitting targets.... that's a HUGE change to the game dynamics not as simpel as putting a flower on a Black Dragon...how can you dismiss everything so easily without having a clue? None of us have but we don't say "ohhh it's all old and lame". Have you checked out the abilities we DO know about on the page? How is that stuff not new and adding tactical depth?

Azagal didn't your mother teach you to complain?

Anyways, while I do think the shaman is a kinda boring unit I do love its explanation. The Artwork is also just perfect, pure awesome and A LOT better then the TotE shaman

Jaba I complain when neccesary and in an adequat form not just "rofl lol lame it's not a unicorn-cyborg-robot-shooting-tampons like I wanted it to be.lame.". Anything else is just whining.

Don't get me wrong complaining is good but for that it needs to be based on some sort of foundation. I mean how can you complain about abilities when you don't even know like 2% of them. Cep said we're going to have tons of abilities and spells. Yet people already run arround going "LOL OLD OVERUSED BORING" oO? Does-not-compute.


EDIT: Also what is this Guardian Angel thing you're talking about? Some info on the haven special that I missed Oo?

Great job Properkheldar, whit the adventure map objects mash up, as i look through them some are familiar from H2,H3 and H4 (don't know if they have the same role but they do look like some of the arenas from H4) others are new, but also give me a bit of disappointments the mines, look really small and lifeless (I mean this in contrast to the work put for the other adventure map objects and the overall art released through the picture of the day so far), I hope is just an misapprehension from my part .
     
     The description for the Dreamwalker is quite good, makes sense and also gives a reasonable argument for the deformity of his arm.

     And on a closing note (no need to be answered) the multiple heroes has a flaw, if you lose the heroes in a battle theres a pretty high chance your enemy could buy them (you could in H3 and H5, but not in H4) and use them to guard the castle/castles.

X could be anything the wanted, seeing as they can build factions with whichever race they want

Actually what worries me is, there's going to be two expansions as usually. First adding the Sylvan, second adding the Dungeon. Following the official Ashan timeline that leads to the event of the Day of Tears and Fire and the death of Tuidhana.

That in itself is good. But what worries me, is that this will be it. No third expansion and no Academy. Two reasons:

1) Necropolis is still part of the Silver Cities. They won't leave them for another hundred years yet.

2) Sanctuary is going to be a heavily Magic oriented faction. Ubisoft tries to improve the tactical depth of the factions, so none will play alike. Having an already magic faction, kinda makes Academy redundant. Or so they will be thinking as an excuse not to add it.

So in the end, we'll end up having seven factions only. That's one less from H5, which is a pity.

Well, that's just another of my worries and nothing more. We'll just wait and see.

Is not that it is complicated, but between an expantion with 2 factions and one with one faction and lots of new neutrals and new features, I prefer the second

I honestly believe they could give us both Sylvan and Dungeon in the same expansion. Maybe I will be dissapointed, but when they cut factions so drastically as down to 5 - the lowest since Heroes 1 - they sort of have to give a little more in the expansions if the game should not end up as appearing like a step-back compared to previous games.

I hope they make 3 expansions!
The first one coming with elves and dungeon. The second one with academy and the dwarves (but less dwarves this time) and then a surprise third expansion with swamp and a lot of neutrals to in the end make EVERY SINGLE CREATURE THAT HAS BEEN IN A HEROES GAME.

I agree wholeheartedly about 8 factions minimum, but I personally would rather see only 2 expansions. Give us two new factions in one and another faction (or two) in the other. Otherwise you're looking at another $30 or so and an extra wait of 6-12 months. Between the release of the original Heroes 5 and the Tribes of the East expansion was almost 1 1/2 years. A third expansion would push that to 2-2 1/2 years. That quite a bit of time.
