Quote: Elvin, could you please clarify something for me? We already know that Romero's back on board, but what about Rob King? Will he return as well?
Any response would be appreciated, thanks in advance
I saw him online a while ago. Like week or two. So he is already here but not posting.
I'm very glad they still make the HoMM music, they are great composers!

Quote: Hey guys, I have read 100 pages of comments and I did not see anyone asking about the multiplayer, which imo is the most impoertant thing in the Heroes games. I am sure that everyone enjoy kicking his friend ass, using differnt strategies. I am wondering whether there will be sothing like the SC's battle net that all the players could use.
I am also thinking about what some fans said earlier in the discussions. They said that the game style will change, that the multiplayer will not be turn by turn or something like that, could you give me some info reguarding those two questins.
Thanks in advance
In my 15 years of playing the Heroes games, I could count the amount of times I've played multiplayer on one hand. There was a few times with my brother on Heroes II years ago, but that's it. It doesn't really interest me otherwise.

The homm3 multiplayer games i had are part of the best remindings i have from past.
I think multiplayer is VERY important for H6, for me anyway.

Multiplayer is the future of gaming and a good way to keep games generating profit. It´s even more so on PC as a mean to counter the loss of profits that comes from illegal downloads, For the sake of the series and Might & Magic brand it is the only way forward.

future of gaming?
Now I'm not saying I disagree with you, but how is the future of gaming more for multi-player then it is for single-player?
Edit: On-topic, Multi-player for H6 is extremely important as it is an additional way to play the game. Some folks only care for SP and some only for MP, but I think most people care for both of it...

Thank you! No, I didn't really think that, but in times like these, a direct confirmation is always welcome. This wouldn't have been the first time they changed a primordial detail without removing it entirely...

The multiplayer mode is really what makes the game a lot more exciting for me. There are sites with rankings like chess, that provide a great strong player base. Sure it takes time to play multiplayer, have always to wait for your opponent(s) turns, but it's great fun. I especially enjoyed playing some 2 vs 2 maps. Try some ranking site like http://www.toheroes.com/ for exemple. I played there when H3 was the best heroes game. Didn't have much time affter that, but i will surely again when H6 is out, heroes competition can be real fun, but i also liked the "just for fun" games

Simple, money. Just look at App-store, PSN-store, MMO:s, DLC, trophies and so on. Iphones, Ipads, N3DS, PSP2...it´s all about downloading and possibilities for multiplayer. And as I said, much of it is to counter illegal downloading.

I'm hoping in hotseat you can make more maps team-based without using the map editor (esp. since there are only gonna be 10 at launch). Team hotseat is where it's at with me and my friends, mainly because we're at different skill levels.
If multiplayer is supposed to be faster than Heroes V, I'd imagine they left simultaneous turns in. Someone posted an idea on the official forums that simultaneous turns could resume whenever players are not able to reach each other.

Don't think that's a good idea, you would always know if your opponent is close

Something I would like for multiplayer mode is the possibility to view allies battles while waiting for your own turn. Perhaps that was possible in H5 (never tried it). It´s nice for those who play "hot seat" but over the internet as allies against the computer.

Well DLC's are more of a single-player thing.
but never mind...

While I agree that multiplayer is becoming the hotter stuff as time goes on, I don't think developers will ditch singleplayer completely at least not in the foreseeable future. Forcing people to play non-mmo retail games online multiplayer is not an idea that I (and many other people) can accept.

You still have custom maps to play with AI. Just saying.

I like multiplayer a lot, but too few of my friends play Heroes for me to get an MP game regularly. Typically, when I load up the game it's to play by myself - but I prefer playing on maps that are designed for multiplayer, versus maps that are designed for one person. More resources, more players to mutilate, and generally more towns to steal.
I think multiplayer is important, although I rarely get an opportunity to play.

Yeah, that is why it will be great if we could play in something like battle net together, this is the only way that the game could survive in my opinion. There will be hell of a lot of players that will not bother to buy the if they will have to play AI, come on, everyone knows that the multiplayer games are making a lot more profits than the single games (actually every game that is made now aim exactly to become widely plaid in internet).
