Probably we will get something to substitute Dragon Utopia. Anyways I never cared about it. You only had enough strengh to defeat them when you didn't need their treasure

Anyways, remember that Elvin said that the game includes lots of artefacts? Maybe that is what they'll use to compensate the lack of mines.

Or maybe they'll put more mines of the same kind because buildings are more expensive.

Well, if we don't know when the pictures were taken we cannot know if now the game is equal or not. So we can only express our fears. The good thing is that the "bad" things can only be better in the final product but the good ones can't be worse

Huuh, I didn't think about it. With Dragons being bosses we'll probably not get a Dragon Utopia. Well, that sux! Wonder what can they come up with to replace it.

  Are they really ! Don't remember reading anywhere, even if that ware the case you could still have a Dragon Utopia but instead of fighting dragons you fight one (depending on reward given the dragon would have  lower or higher stats)
  On another matter this pictures of the day is really good, so far for me at least the game will have a really rich and detailed environment also the are some hints that demonic troops would corrupt the soil they stand upon whiles heaven have a cross inscribed in a circle to highlight them on the map ... at list that is what I noticed after seeing the screen shoots.

By the way - looking at today's screenshot again, it doesn't look exactly like an underground. It seems... otherworldly to some extent. And there is a portal. Opinions?

I think it is some kind of semi-underground. As if the mouniting ceiling is partly open. or that this is close to the cave entrance.
So I don't think it's "otherworldly" but rather another type of underground, notice the walls...

It can be full underground. In H5 u didnt see the celing all the times, u only saw stalagmites.

I think it is even funnier that they are expecting some sort of metropolis in every screenshot even if the screenshot is 50% water and run-down port next to rather decrepid land or even more of it is filled with rock walls and a giant chasm. I mean really guys, in the first one, yeah there could be something but it's such a small area that already seems rather bare in nature so what do you expect? And if i remember correctly there were quite a few underground areas that had nothing but rock walls to amuse you in previous games. At least the rocks are pretty now

As for the new screenshot, it really does look beautiful and makes me wonder what is the significance of the ravager for, from what I can see (which may not be much because I can't find a good resolution enlarged version), the path leading to it is just a dead end around the chasm and the unit itself isn't protecting anything (except maybe a blue bug ). So it seems that either it is maybe part of a side quest (to kill maybe?) or the area just isn't finished by the time of the screenshot.

I guess the highlight of the screenshot, is the underground lake. This is what they intended for us to see. And well, how the underground tileset and walls especially, look like.

Nah, these vines don't mean anything. They're just graphics and all. Besides don't you remember? There were trees in the underground of H5, and cacti in the underground of H3.

I think when it comes down to it they are just different locations which, as you said, is awesome to have in the typically monotonous underground. Had forgotten about those ones from the boss battle, gotta love the water effects in the Mother Namtaru shot.

Elvin, I'm not passing judgment.  I'm only saying that with the reduction of resources/mines there would inherently be less on a map, and we have been given no real information to say otherwise.  The screenshots we have seen backup the 'less stuff', and not the 'plenty to do' that you guys suggest.

My guess is that they will have different colored runes for hero skill/tree development, much like Kings Bounty did.  If that is the case then there will certainly be a bunch of new stuff on the map worth getting!

I like the look of the underground a lot; without a rotating camera it'll have to be really well done to avoid the horrific mess that was HV underground, though. Got to be so you had to rotate the camera like every fifteen seconds.

I was about to agree with you, but then I realized who you are, you biased jerk.


Just like how someone created that topic "THE JUGGERNAUT SUCKS" before any videos of the creature were released. Sad.

Well I don't think we have a lot of other stuff to go on, I mean what are we supposed to do when we receive a screenshot like this?

However I'm not stupid(seriously I'm not) so I get it, there are A LOT missing in these pictures. There are tons of new thing I'm sure(I hope) but just like you don't want to give us the 5th faction yet, you don't want to give us the new map objects and all that either.

I'm just basing my fear on that which I can see, and what I see is a empty and boring landscape...
I just hope it will be as lively and full as it was in Heroes 3, if not more so.

I still got this dreadful feeling that the game is shrinking. The motto of the devs seems to be 'quality over quantity'. This is great and all, but my worry is, how much of the "quantity" part is being sacrificed? Confirmed casualties include RMG, resources and factions. As far as I know, in the beginning they intended to cut town screens too. Good thing, this did not happen.

There's so many things we don't know yet, and I think we got every reason to worry about how many other elements of the previous games will not be included this time.

I am worried about the quantity of town buildings and adventure map objects too. Screenshots ofcourse, are not enough to base my worries on. These screenshots are focusing on a certain objects such as the shipyard and the underground lake. Besides with the scaling of adventure map objects getting bigger, you can't hope to get alot of them in one screenshot.

But since they cut off classic elements of the game, such as the rare resources (for better or worse), then there should be nothing stopping them from doing so with many other things too.

To be fair though, H6 marks the return for both might and magic heroes per faction and the introduction of bosses and more abilities for heroes and units. Perhaps other new elements could be in store for us too.

Well, all that's left to say is I just hope they know what they're doing.

The issue with having mightand magic heroes is that we now also have complete control over their advancement, which would suggest that either they aren't going to be that different, or that there're actually going to be two whole skill trees, one for might, one for magic.

For what I heard it's more like a different tree for each class and every race in fact, wich would be cool as I don't want my magic necromancer doing the same than a inferno sorcerer.
