the new catapult is great and it would be nice if every race would have a personalized catapult,but the hero model is not nice at all(and i don t think they re gonna change it  )

This screenshot is IMO the best one we've seen. I love the catapult (and at first thought it was the breeder), the succubus looks great on the field, and none of the units look too similar. The theme for the army is there, and they all seem to mesh well.
I must be in the minority b/c I like the way the hero looks

Inferno has its very own racially unique catapult?!? Clearly there is a god... and he's been sending ubisoft visions of a better future. This is so touching.... "Maybe catapult is the male version of the breeder." I really think you're on to something there. I mean they look similar and would make kinda sense. Unless the Breeder females are akin to the Deepsea Lightfish.

Strongholds "catapult" could be some kind of Cyklops hurling rocks or something, looking totally different from the unit. Would make sense for them as a faction to have that instead of some poorly constructed machine hurling goblins around. The unit description for the Cyklops could hint in that direction, or just mean that they have a siege type ability on the battlefield (or both).

That catapult is great. I can't wait to see what they come up with for the other factions. I can't imagine how they could be cooler than this.
I also think the hero looks great. He does look a bit anonymous, but if they have to allocate their time carefully, I'd rather they didn't spend a ton of time on making individual hero models.

Regarding the whole generic looking hero, well I hope that wearing an artifact (swords, armor, shield)will also have an impact on the hero thus altering the generic look and well see the types of artefact's he's wearing, but even if this won't be implemented what can I see a lived through an H5 where female characters looked like an old mean on an elephant or a bearded dude on a mammoth, so I won't let it ruin my fun.

I don't think that I like the Succubus in-game model. It's too early to judge but I don't like how she looks like in the new screenshot.

Wow. man, that catapult is just AMAZING!
but let me guess: heaven is the only faction that gets a normal and boring catapult, am I correct?
I can't wait to see the sylvan catapult, on expansion... and academy's one... maybe a giant magic crystal that fires magic lightingbolts?
i also disliked the hero... the H5 one was great! very big, badass, manly and powerful lookwise. this one... looks like even a peasant could take it down with a good fork strike.
maybe when he gets the advanced class he looks better. actually i liked the heaven hero. ok, they could look less generic... a question: do we'll get a male and female model for every class? or the female heroes will look like a man again?

Ok everybody else has said it, but I gotta chime in, the new catapult is absolutely made of win. In fact, I seem to agree with everybody else today, the Inferno Hero is quite underwhelming.

The hero strikes me as odd.
I'm thinking: Either artifacts you equip change your hero's look, or that is not the Hellknight.
Now at the same time I'm hoping that is not the Inferno "Magic Hero" because I still want Demons leading my Demons!

When it comes to a siege, it can make the breeder pregnant. The Breeder burps tiny little Imps who fly into the worm's throat. Like this, it can heel itself or fire a stinky Imp salvo over the town walls

Yeah this Screen shot is perfect! It shows that the Inferno units clearly are organic! (not just magma elementals)

Yep, and also what I noticed while I looked at the succubus again that the battlefield obstacle will also be chasms  (presuming the screen shot is taken on the battlefield and not on the adventure map) which is pretty sweet and with the new dynamic battlefield I wonder if it weren't cool for the chasm to further grow while fighting so you would have to finish the fight within a small amount of time (similar with the H5 final battles but now more thrilling do to the fact that you can actually see the earth beneath you fall apart and not just a boring timer)

I love it too. Not as sexy as the concept, but still very good.
Actually, for the first time I don't see any problem with Juggernaut or the spiky demon (maybe because we can see them better now or maybe it's just because I'm getting used to them).
I can't wait to see the fith faction. I really loved the design.
