@MrDragon: Nice post! Good thoughts....
Still, how will gating work with the bar filling up?
Elvin has been very quite about this (since his last post)

So come on then, let's discuss some ideas of how gating will work......
We know the bar needs to fill up for your racial ability to work.
Now can understand this with Necro, Haven, Orcs and Naga....
But how will the demons benefit from this? Gating is important to do at beginning of battles....

Maybe demons start with a full bar and it decreases slowly per gate.
Maybe Demons generate gating by....
dealing damage is used by orcs.
casualties are used by necromancers.
I think Haven had it from receiving damage.
Sanctuary seem to get it from solo fighting battles. (which I guess is determined by the enemy unit not having any other adjacent friendly units.)
... I'm stumped actually, also still quite saddened by the fact that as far as I can gather all the bar fillings boil down to "creatures attack".
I think Demons might get it from the opposite of Sanctuary maybe, like focus fire, the more all your units focus down one stack.
No idea.

Than it works in revers you have the gating bar filed up and every time you use it to gate it goes down but depending of level of hero either reduce the cost of gating and the type of unit able to gate or enables it to refuel on advance and maximum level(but not as fast like for example the necroes one)so some options are to make it work

That's only because you keep thinking like in H5. I doubt any racial can be used straight at the start of a fight.

Well gating is gating and should benefit the demons at beginning of battles.
I like MrDragon and Kenishi posts about demons having the bar at 100% full at the start and then decreases as you gate troops.
Maybe you need to be careful what you gate: like you can gate elite creature but use more of the bar than if you gated core creatures.

Except that we KNOW the Inferno racial gauge is empty at the start of a fight It also fill up with Inferno creatures dealing damage.
Just as a reminder, we have a video of the fight between Kiril and Mother Namtaru

Perhaps gating is instant once you fill the bar up. Or you needn't fill it fully, but the bar decreases each time you gate some creatures.

It's not even certain that gating is dependent on the number of creatures, but rather on the strength of your hero. And if it's instant as well, there is no need to have it in the beginning. Gated creatures took at least one or two turns before they came to action anyway.

I'd say I'd like it to be purely hero dependent but that might cause scaling problems in very late game when stacks become so huge that the gated stack's relevance starts dropping dramatically.
Kinda one thing I wish they'd take from KB as well, the leadership mechanic that limited the army sizes in proportion to your hero's level.
The less it's about how much army you have and the more about how you use it, the better in my opinion.

Which would kill the purpose of the racial skill that you "unleash only when your bar is full"

I love having a strong hero with only a few, or even just one stack of creatures (Vampires or Pao Kai would live forever, or if your hero had vampirism). The battles (not talking about the final dual battle) are much more fun that way, and you have the joy of killing off stacks that are much stronger than your army without losing a single creature (and even gaining some if you're a necromancer). Oh, the joy

So based on this gating can only happen later in the battle. Would mean that gating must be very different from H5....although similar....very confusing!

I think the game was made so in every battle you could easily lose troops...
And inferno seems to be a faction full of sportists.

I have to agree...
Well, if those are animations that hapens when the player don't act for a while in his turn during the battle, I think it's ok.
