That's because the Pit Lords deal a lot of damage only if the opponent is stupid. They just should not be attacked with creatures/skills which can be retaliated against until their stack is significantly weakened and that's all. Otherwise they will burn your army, that's clear (there seems to be one exception though - I don't know if Stronghold Tear Might's Might over Magic works on the Pit Lord's fire-based retaliation - if it does, then this is another way to get rid of them quickly). The Fate Weavers on the other hand deal their high damage directly and not "if the opponent allows it" which is the main difference in this case. The Pit Lord is dangerous because you can not take many liberties when fighting it, the Fate Weaver is dangerous because you have to eliminate it ASAP if it can shoot freely and (which is very important) because it can be easily resurrected. In a general scenario, the Fate Weaver is more dangerous.
Plus, in a real game there is another issue with the Pit Fiend/Lord itself - it hardly needs to be upgraded. For a pretty large amount of resources they get 10 HP, a bit more damage and a 95% useless skill, an investment which will rarely pay back in all but the longest games.

Seriously people, don't you find this to be an issue with such a morden game?
I actually agree it would be better and it should be pretty easy to do, since there already is a defence animation, but that's hardly the most pressing issue with the game.

Hello guys!

Some thing I recently noticed when I was playing the demo is that only my first hero gets reptation. I planned how I will play my second hero, and I dont get any reputation.

Is it normal, cus I dont remember that I heard it anywhere

Does anyone have an idea why it would crash before even playing the intro videos?

this is my point actually! No one gets a stance and stays like that for a long time doing nothing else!

I wish I could help but I'm stuck again myself. I could play some hours after tweaking some options in the control panel of the nvdia card, then after shutting the game and letting the computer on stand-by I cannot launch the game anymore. So I'm not sure what is the reason now, maybe they were already making some changes yesterday? I have to test again with trial and error other configurations ...

Nvidia you say? Do you have a GT540M? I think the problem is that it doesn't support my card anymore, because when I make it run on the integrated Intel GPU, it at least plays the sound of the videos...

Some info from UBI? I was again trying to modify the param of the grafic card and I finally was able to run v 1.4 again. I made a screen of the params so to be able to select them again in case it doesn't work after a close of the program as it happened yesterday. I could not see the last save of my game as inferno on Tree of plenty map but I could begin a new game and after saving the first day I decided to load a default autosave (maybe close to my last save of inferno). I load the save but then the screen flickers and I lose the image although H6 still running. I have to close the program with task manager. But now I trt to start again H6 and no way to load it again, same problems as before, configuration of grafic card is the same.

So are they modifying something in their end at the same time (maybe trying to fix the problems) and it was just by luck that I could launch the game 2 times in many many tries?

edit : to Kaasschaaf : I have a geforce g 105m from a laptop and it also doesn't satisfy the new requirements (minimum 200 it seems) even if it was perfect with v 1.3. I installed the last driver and in description there seemed to have a special profile for 3d vision for might and magic heroes 6 but I didn't find it, I had to do it manually. Well I'm sick of playing around with all that, I'll wait the next patch if there is one, but I'm sure I'll don't buy the game in this state...

I think it would be nice if every God would defend that faction's town and we could also put additional units. It would also make seizing towns much more difficult. Kind of how it is in Disciples 3. But of course the town defender boss units in Disciples 3 were all the same except their appearance. It would also mean no mirror matches, which I already hate. The God can only be in one town if you have many, but can teleport from one to other in one turn. There could even be an additional winning condition called "Kill the opponent's God"

I like your idea but it's not practical, the Drgaon Gods are spiritual and not physical beings, besides who whould the Orcs have defending their town, mother earth or father sky? And who would the wizards have? And I think it would make Necro and Inferno at a big advantage having the primordial gods with them....

Just a question regarding mechanics:

Every faction has might creatures and magic creatures regarding attack and defense, so eg. if you are a might hero would the magic creatures of your faction be weaker (eg. if you are might naga, are coral preistesses weaker than if you were magic naga)?

Yes, your Might hero is most likely to advance in Might Attack, which doesn't affect the Priestess' attack. The Magic hero will advance in Magic Attack, which will improve Priestess' attack. However, the Might hero will advance in Might Defence which will make her more resistant to Might attacks, whereas Magic hero will advance in Magic Defence, which will make her more resistant to other Magic attacks. So on the Defence side, they will both improve her, but in different ways.

I changed options in the NVdia control panel, such as filtering textures, anisotropic filter, etc, under the panel of 3D configuration. But first I installed the last driver. Anyway it doesn't make much sense, it seems random and the same values don't work again...So now for the 3th time and after many many tries I managed to load v1.4 again I don't shut the program anymore....

They surely need to fix this as there are many people who have the same problem in the forums and if they want to sell their product they better give access to grafic cards that can run the game even if not in their LIST.

edit : not exiting the program is no solution since the program crashed before a fight, synchronisation not successfull, relaunching the program immediately gave a "runtime error" no more precisions since screen vanished soon. Now unable again to load the program. My hypothesis is that they are working on their end and it affects the game even if no patches are applied. Just hope they will find a solution ...Many things I like in this v 1.4.
