All systems were working as well as could be excpected, so Ev decided to take a walk around the ship. After a short time, he came to a window, on which there was some sort of spider-like thing. Ev shrugged, and started to turn away. Then, he caught a movement out of the corner of his eye, and instinctively jumped. The organism flew fast him onto the floor. Ev whirled around, whipping out his handgun, but the thing quickly scuttled into the air vent, followed by two others. Ev reached for his communication device, typed a code in it, and said, "Commander Whitemoon?"

Mustaffa looked at one of the vents where he had seen one of the creatures scitter. Unfortunatly he was way too large to follow the creature, so he just had to watch it disappear. He turned on his motion detector and walked up toward the main observation platform.

The new captain was a fool, as Alex thought. Taking them down few at a time could be disasterous. Whitemoon was risking the lives of the personell. But on the other hand by not informing them he ensured that no panic will arise. That is untill someone is attacked. In Alex's opinion, threats like this should be eliminated quickly, if not instantly, without casualties. If possible.
Alex walked through the corridor, holding his hand on the pistol's grip. It's holder was of special design, allowing to draw the weapon faster than usual. Alex focused his mind at finding the aliens as he walked towards his cabin.

Mustaffa had noticed some movement on his detectors and had followed it as far as he could. He stood by a vent cursing silently under his breath. The vent was too small and he was too large, there was no way this was going to work out. He needed another plan if this was going to work. Three kids walked by and he looked at them, his mind starting to think of a plan. If he used one of those kids as a bait he could possibly lure the creature out and it would be the end of it. He nodded, it was a risk but it could be worth it.
"Hey boys, come over here!" he said, his deep voice stopping them as one. "I need one of you to stay here with me, there is something I'm curious and I need your help with it."
The boys looked at him and he sighed. "None of you are volunteering?" he asked, and the boys looked at each other.
"Alright, you will stay here and the rest keep on what you were doing. Stay close to grown ups." Mustaffa said and pointed at one of the unlucky boys.
As the others went on Mustaffa smiled down at the boy. "Now I need you to stand by the wall on the other side of the corridor from the vent, act casual. Alright?"
The boy nodded, scared, and walked on shaky legs over to the wall. Mustaffa readied his gun to take out the creature.

Mustaffa: The alien dociley skipped out and curled next to the boy's feet, looking up playfully at him. The boy laughed and patted it. A hiss came from the vent as another one slunk out as well, glaring at the boy. It readied itself to attack.
Alex: As you get to your door, you feel the presence of two of the things on the other side, and a rat. (How those things survive so long, no one knows.)
When Whitemoon and Arlea arrive at the quarantined hallway, they find four of the creatures, fidgeting and glancing around suspiciously...
The commander slowly raised his assault pistol and muttered, "Take them." A shot rang out, killing one instantly. The other three turned with surprising speed towards the pair.

Mustaffa fired two fast shots and both the creatures were killed instantly, ripped apart by the powerful bullets. The boy screamed and were knocked off his feet by the force of the bullet hitting next to him. "Sorry about that kid, but you've just played a big role in something you understand nothing of." Mustaffa chuckled.

Arlea's acute senses had already picked up the creatures particular odour before they had reached the quarantined area and she had set her motion detector to 'stun'. As Whitemoon got off one round from his handgun, Arlea hit the creatures with a medium intensity sonic blast ............
....... and three of the creatures imploded!! "It was only medium stun, Sir" she blurted, shocked at the effect.
Arlea walked over to the pulped remains of the creatures.

Mustaffa scuffed the remains into a bag and set out to find the captain, asking his way and finally finding him with Arlea. "Two of the creatures are killed, how many are there on the ship?" he said, then noticed the destroyed creatures on the floor.

"Their remains only smell faintly of electrical charges", she looked Whitemoon. "When they are intact they have a peculiar odour ... like a mix of several animals. I'm wondering what kind of mutation they are?".

"I have no idea what these creatures mutations would be, but they do seem resistant to known poisons and acids, as the one that I dissected had recently ingested arsenic and Phosphoric acid."
